Link throws a lot of stuff in the game.
It's sooo hard! I think the biggest challenge is HUGE map that Link has to track and vague details of where things are. I really don't want to use GameFAQs if I can help it but I just canNOT get into the 4th level without asking! Who the crap makes a temple come out of an obscure tunnel around a moat of water that can't be swum in? WHO DOES THAT?!
I'm only on the 4th level....half way done! Not even half in fact! I just...I just...it's so big. So big. *collapses*
Dagnabit, it's only a game. hehe

I think you need the Ocarina/Marin to get into dungeon 4 if I remember. It's been a long time, but I remember you get that about half way through. Right after the Pegasus Boots.
That game was really hard now that I think about it. A lot of the puzzles were really long, and if you didn't steal it getting the bow took a really long time to get.

You're right. I did get Marin and everything and I opened the Key Cavern but I didn't know how to get there. I looked it up and found that I did find the cave and I already had been in there but I didn't think I could get into the water since I just fall and die because LINK CAN'T SWIM... DX< But this isn't the deep water, it's the shallow one.
What's funny too is the minor "side quest" on the side (where you trade random items to people like a stick for a honeycomb etc) is a major part of the game. I really didn't know --- I was just doing the side quest for fun....
I also don't know why it took Marin a while to come with me. At first she didn't and I had to go back to the Animal Village again and find Marin at the beach all of the sudden. It was hilarious when Link lifted Marin over his head like, "YOU'VE GOT A MARIN!" haha!
Now I have to get past Key Cavern but....WT...F does, "the glinting tile will help you" mean?! Why is this so obscure? Why?

Yeah, I always think of this now when I think of that scene. And yeah, that trade quest is ridiculous. But I think everyone does it without realizing you need to do it to beat the game. The pen pal part still makes me laugh. I thought the glinting tile referred to the warp tiles, but I haven't played Awakening since I was a kid. Maybe something bombable? Who knows.

I found out: it refers to the identical tile in the dungeon that has a specific sequence of tiles to step on. See? Easy. But I hated having to kill the monsters almost every time I stepped into the same room multiple times. It took that much longer. Rightfully so, the final boss was a cinch. At first I wish it were harder but considering this temple I thought otherwise. x___x
Now I can swim! Wheeee~ And yes!! I just gave Mr. Write his letter and the picture was awesome! Then at the end the text is all, "but that wasn't her picture..." She's a goat! waaaugh
Then he gave me a broom and the text was all, "He gave you a broom for your letter.....Great?!" XD
I just returned a ghost to his cemetery but whhhhat he didn't give me anything for it? Baaah. The least he could do is fight off the ghost that I can't kill. arg

I'm pretty sure you get a secret seashell from his house, and I thought that he opened something up too? Or maybe you dig up his grave or something. So many ghosts, it's hard to keep track after awhile.
The goat is cute anyway, I'm sure he won't mind.

Oh yeah! I was going to revisit the house too. I think I did it a couple of times before thinking that nothing is going to come of it. I guess I could dig around his grace too. Thanks! <3
I'm on the 5th level now and this skeleton guy is pretty fun to fight but he hides everywhere!! ARG! Gimme my new weapon already!! XD
