Celebor nodded and started off with the children back towards where they had left the horses. It took them a few minutes to get there, but once they did, he got his blanket out of his bag and wrapped the two children in it. Sure, it was the middle of summer, but they were still cold - most likely from shock.
Once they were wrapped, he grabbed them some food from his bag - healthy food, they could have candy later. At the moment they would be happy for any sort of food, and healthy would be best.
Once they were munching happily, he looked around for Donovan.

Donovan murmured about what a pain it was before pulling both knife and arrow from the bodies. He used the clothes to clean the weapons before setting them aside and proceeding to strip the two of any valuable objects they might have. With those items in hand along with the weapons he head back.
He was glad to see the two had settled a bit, though food was always a good distractor. He handed back Celebor's arrow, cleaned though he was sure he hadn't been able to

Celebor took the arrow back wordlessly and returned it to his quiver, keeping his eyes on the children as he did so.
"Now we wait here for Celeborn?" he asked Donovan softly. "And then head after the other group?"

"Yea, it'll give the kids a bit of time to recover," Donovan murmured back.
He paused for a moment watching the kids before glancing over at Celebor. Then he proceeded to put the things he had gathered away. It wasn't much, which would suggest it really was a spur of a moment sort of thing.

The children looked up at Donovan again as they huddled together beneath the blanket. The fear was gone from their eyes, but they were still obviously nervous with him around. The children looked at each other, and as the girl continued to eat the boy looked up at him.
"Um ... sir?" he asked in a squeaky voice.

Donovan blinked before turning to the boy. Somewhat talking terms already, that was a good sign. Though he wondered what sort of question the boy had.
"Yes?" he inquired softly.

The boy swallowed as if terrified to speak to Donovan, though he was encouraged by the man's soft tone.
"Um ... I ... um ..."
His face turned red, and he lowered his eyes to the ground self-consciously.
"Iwasjustwonderingwhyyou'resodifferentfromtheotherhumans," he muttered all in a string, the words barely distinguishable from each other.

It took a while for Donovan to pick apart that sentence, but he found the question even harder. After all if Kara had been here she would have said not all humans were bad, but since the only good human around here seemed to be the ones that stayed at home it wasn't saying much.
"I'm not from around here," Donovan finally replied, "I come from a place very far away from the humans around here. Home is very different than here, that is why I am different."
Well that was putting it mildly.

The boy blinked at Donovan, pulling the blanket around himself a little more tightly.
"But I'm from far away but I'm not different from the other elves," he said, confused. "Why does that make you different?"
The girl looked up at the boy, her eyes anxious. "Don't ask so many questions," she hissed in a whisper. "He might get mad."

Poor girl must be having a nervous break down Donovan thought, as if the crying before the slavers were killed didn't tip him off. He had to admit though he was impressed by the boy, kind of reminded him of Lin though in a way. Even though so far it had only been two questions.
Besides the boy had a point, and it was hard to explain without going into the whole other world concept which might confuse him.
"Because... where I come from," Donovan explained, "We don't speak same language as the humans here, and there are races living in my land that you have never seen before," he shrugged, "Our way of living is just very different from those humans."

Celebor frowned sadly at the children when he heard the little girl's comment, and he knelt next to her and put one hand gently on her shoulder.
"It's all right," he assured her softly. "You may ask as many questions as you would like, we won't get angry with you. We're here to help you in any way we can."

The girl looked up at Celebor anxiously, but after a moment's contemplation, she nodded and ventured a small smile.
"Okay," she murmured, returning to her food.
The boy nodded in understanding and even braved a small grin. "Oh, so you're not from the Four Lands, huh," he commented. "That makes sense then. I didn't know there were humans in the other lands."

"Well... it is very, very rare for anyone from home to come here, well... unless they're from my family."
Rare as in, once in a hundred blue moons maybe, since Elnara's first apparance in Gaia and Daemon's discovery. It had always been a wonder if there had been any other wayward travellers.

The boy nodded thoughtfully.
"Then you must have a strong magic," he said solemnly, "if you can come and go all the time."
After all, to travel across the ocean was ... well, unheard of, for the most part. Very rare. But to travel back and forth repeatedly? Never.
Just then the approach of a cart and horse could be heard, and a few moments later Celeborn appeared, coming along the bluff with the cart full of supplies.

"My wife does," Donovan murmured absently.
He motioned at Celeborn, though he knew that the man probably had seen them anyhow.
