Stepping into the gym Tony looked around curiosly. He could see one trainer actually in the room and Brock in a smaller seperate room near the back. Going further into the gym Weed, Phoenix and Len following him he studdied the rocky terrain for a moment before the trainer in the gym spotted him.
The other trainer walked up to him and said in a confident voice. "Your lightyears away from challanging Brock!"
Tony smirked at him confidently and placed one hand on his hips and raised an eyebrow trying to hold back his laughter at the cocky boy. "Oh? And why is that?"
"Because you need to get past me first!" The boy exclaimed and held out a pokeball clearly ready to battle him.
"Allright then." Tony stepped back both Weed and Phoenix following him to the small box that the trainer was suppsed to stand in. Len was allready in the sidelines of the gym.

Deep within the safe shadows of Viridian Forest, Jenna and her pokemon hurried on to Pewter City. After blundering about the bush for what seemed like an hour, they finally found the proper path out and headed west then north, keeping the late afternoon sun on thier left side so they wouldnt' get lost like last time. Belle fell asleep in Jenna's packsack after a while, dozing and dreaming pokemon dreams while Sandy flew up ahead a bit from branch to branch, keeping an eye out for any pesky bug pokemon.

Walking over to his Pokemon, Mike happily pet Titanium on the head. It was an odd feeling, like petting a countertop. "You are a very brave Pokemon Titanium, I'm very proud of you!" The Steelix happily purred.
Nitro had broken off from the group and wandered off to the grasy area. Curiousity overcame him as he wandered further in. Soon the grass was up to his head, but he trudged on further.
Mike had just finished handing out treats to his Pokemon when he noticed a certain Fire Pokemon missing from the group. "Nitro?" Mike called out, looking around.
"Cloyster!" Shiver took no time to find his way into the ocean and hop in the cool, refreshing water.
"Where could that goof be?" Mike wandered away from the shore, followed by Portabello.

The other trainer on the other side of the room in his box smirked and let his pokemon out.
Tony watched curiosly and smiled a bit when he saw the Diglett appear. He looked down at his two pokemon and studdied both Weed and Phoenix for a moment before nodding for Phoenix to go in. The fire pokemon imediatly ran out onto the field looking ready to battle.
A whistle blew from a ref who had just appeared holding two flags. "Allright Diglett vs. Torchick. Ready. Begin!"
Before the trainer on the other side of the gym could tell his Diglett to do anything Tony had silently told Phoenix to perform a Swagger attack to which Phoenix responded to with flying colors and began to glow and walk around with a distinct swagger in her step.
The Diglett watched her and was unfortunatly for it caught in the attack and grew enraged at Phoenix. His trainer not recognizing the attack for what it was just ordered it to preform a dig attack. The diglett imediatly went underground and sent a swift dig attack in Phoenix's direction.

"Use Thundershock again!" Kasiya cried, pointing at the Staryu as it hit the water.
"Pi..ka...CHUUU!" Shocker cried, releasing a much stronger burst of electricity into the water. Staryu submerged a few seconds later, its center core blinking.
"Oh no!" Misty groand, as she called it back. "Stupid critical hits!!!"
"Staryu has been defeated. Victory goes to Pikachu!" shouted the ref, the red flag raised once more.
"Just one more, Shocker!" Kasiya cried encouragingly. "I know you can do it!"
"Pika pi!" Shocker cried back, giving a thumbs up sign.
Misty took her third Pokeball in hand, and let if fly. "Misty calls Starmie!" she shouted, throwing it into the water. The aquatic Pokemon materialized, looking tough and ready to fight.
"Go!" yelled the ref, and before he'd even lowered the flag, Shocker had released a Thundershock into the water. Starmie shook it off though, and under Misty's orders, fired a Water Pulse right at Shocker. The watery attack struck the electric mouse, and she tumbled head first into the pool.
"Oh no!" Kasiya cried, running forward to see what happened. Shocker surfaced a second later, shaking the water out of her ears. "Watch out!" Kasiya cried as Starmie came at her with a Tackle. Narrowly missing, Shocker went into a Double Team, creating several copies to distract Starmie. "Thundershock again!" Kasiya cried, but Shocker turned and looked at her, and winked. She climbed up onto a platform as Starmie finished attacking the copies, and glared at the starshaped Pokemon. Her cheeks began to flare with electricity, her eyes narrowed as she started focusing her power towards this one attack.
"Pika........CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!" Shocker cried, and released a large bolt of electricity that Kasiya immediately recognized as Thunderbolt - much more powerful than Thundershock. The water rippled with electricity, there was no way Starmie could escape the attack. Starmie floated to the surface, its core blinking rapidly.
"I can't believe this!" Misty cried, her jaw dropping.
Kasiya stared in aw, the water still holding some electricity in it. It wasn't until a yellow blur jumped into her arms and was zapping her with excitement. Kasiya was knocked backwards, Shocker in her arms. She looked up at her trainer, and then prompltly fell unconscious, suffering more damage than she cared to let on. Kasiya only stared at the Pikachu in amazement.

The curious Charmeleon had worked it's way into the deepest part of the grass, now over his head. The only thing visable to a passerby would be a flaming tail sticking out of the plantlife. "Char..." Nitro parted the grass in front of him, hoping to find something intresting. Looking around, he noticed a clearing, filled with beautiful flowers and a roaring creek. Just as he was about to take a step into this minature paradise, Nitro was met with the exact oppisite:
A lightning bolt to the face.

Nina's jaw fell a little and then she smiled. "All right, Kasiya!" she cheered, thereafter rushing over to her friend and further praising her.
Sabrina watched her sister run to Kasiya. She looked aside and said, somewhat quietly, "That Pikachu is a great Pokemon..."

Tony grinned slightly and told Phoenix to stay perfectly still so that the Diglett couldn't sense where he was. Suddenly the effects of the Swagger attack came into effect as the Diglett became confused and swurved suddenly and ran into a rock which immediatly knocked it unconcious.
A startled look came over Tony's face as he was suddenly declaired the winner when he hadn't even really attack the pokemon. Phoenix who was jumping up and down happily in the middle of the area was suddenly tackled happily by Weed. Tony scrached his head in confusion as he went over to his pokemon. "Geez, I can't believe I actually won that match like that. What are the odds?" He looked down at his two pokemon and smiled happily at them. "Great job Phoenix!" He congradulated the small fire pokemon who just gave him a smug look.

Nitro yelped in pain as the electric attack scored a direct hit with his nose, causing pain to shoot all through his body. Wild Magnemite appeared! Level 21 Tackle, Thundershock, Supersonic, Sonicboom, Thunderwave
"Maaag!" cried the Magnemite in it's synthesized robotic voice as it let out another Thundershock.
Regaining his senses, Nitro rolled out of the way of the attack, it only glancing his side. "Char!" He growled, whipping his firey tail at the Electric Pokemon. The flaming embers connected with painful accuracy as the wild Pokemon fluttered around eratically, fireing lightnig bolts everywhere in hopes to hit Nitro

Kasiya blinked, still clutching Shocker to her chest. The Pikachu may had been fainted, but she had a content look on her cute face. Kasiya felt her eyes well up with tears of joy, and they sprinkled across Shocker's cheeks. Kasiya gently kissed her nose. "Thank you," she said softly, as Nina came running up to her.
"Victory to the Challenger!" the ref was waving the red flag all over the place.
Kasiya looked up. Misty had dove into the water to comfort Starmie, and recalled the water Pokemon before she swam over to Kasiya and her troupe.
"Congratulations," she said, not looking upset in the least. "I honestly didn't think your Pikachu was a high enough level to know Thunderbolt," she smiled.
"Neither did I," Kasiya admitted.
The ref came over carrying a blue velvet box, and Misty opened it. She handed Kasiya a shining blue Cascade Badge, prize money, and a Blue TM disc.
"It's Water Pulse," she said, grinning. "A surprising number of Pokemon can learn it. Use it wisely," she smiled.

At this rate, Sabrina thought, she'll be able to challenge me in no time.
Nina's eyes grew when she saw the Cascadebadge, and she once again congratulated Kasiya.

Tony looked down at Phoenix and Weed happily playing with each other and smiled at them. And here I was thinking that I would have to take a trip to the pokemon center before my battle with Brock. Tony thought happily. "Allright you two. We still have a gym leader to battle. Come on now." His pokemon imediatly stopped and followed him as he walked over to the other room that Brock was in.
When he walked in the room his hand was grabed by Brocks as he stared at him with love struck eyes. "Oh my pritty maiden, would you do me the honor of going out with me after our battle?"
For a moment Tony just stared at him with a suprised look on his face before he glared at him and pulled his had away. "Im a boy." He stated coldly and watched Brocks face fall at his statement. "You think you would recognize me Brock. Though it has been a while since I last saw you."
Brock looked over at him with a confused look on his face now. "Huh? I know you? Where would I have... OH! Your the Dragonbanes son arn''t you? So you finally set off on your own pokemon adventure."
Tony smiled at Brock and nodded before comenting confidentally. "And I must say that I am happy to say that I will be earning my first badge today in your gym."
"Oh? Well its not going to be that easy." Brock said with a raised eyebrow equally confident.

"After watching you," Nina said, "I myself feel more than confident to take on Lt. Surge. I can't wait until we get back to Vermillion City." She smiled.

She returned Shocker to her Pokeball and hugged Nina. "Thanks for your support," she said. "Surge is tough, but I think we both can handle him." She smiled. "I think I'm inheriting his love for electric types, though," she said, holding up Shocker's Pokeball. She quickly pulled her clothes back on and pinned her Cascade Badge next to the Boulder Badge. On Misty's insistence, they swapped PokeNav numbers. Kasiya looked over to Jaeshan, who had a smug look on his face. "Think you can win too?" she said, smiling at him.
"Probably not that easily, but I believe so, yes." He grinned back, stroking Mightyena's head.

Nina smiled. "Don't worry about it," she said. "I'll always be cheering you on."
She cleared her throat a little. "You said he's tough?" She asked. "Erm... how tough?"
