"Excuse me miss but this is where you wanted to be dropped off at right." The elderly farmer was standing at the tailgate of the truck, prodding Piper's foot as he spoke. She sat up and opened her glancing back and forth as if she was checking her surroundings before climbing down to the ground, taking her trunks down with her, from the back of the hay wagon she had hitched a ride on through the night after missing her train at the platform. She reached into pocket and took out a few bills and handing them over to the man.
"No it's alright, I was headed out this way anyway. No trouble at all."
"Please, you don't know how much help you've been at least take half, I insist." Piper's voice was soft but stubborn.
The man took half of what was offered, "alright, take care now, you hear." He said as he headed back up to the driver's seat.
Piper gave a half smile, "Of course, you take care to." She stuffed the rest of her money back into her pocket and listened as the truck drove off down the road. She left a slight breeze pass before heading in the direction of the gate, Her trunks were piled on a small trolley she had managed to barter from a woman in a recently visited town, and she was thankful for the exchanged she had made, because it had certainly made up for it in the long run. As she walked she could feel things of hay that seemed to be sprouting from her clothing. She pulled off the ones that she could feel but she was unaware that her appearance still had much to be deisred. But spending all night in a hay wagon it was to be expected, If she hadn't missed her train she would have arrived on time instead of the day late that she was and she also wouldn't be covered head to toe in hay.
As she pushed through the front doors of the school she wondered what time it was, she reached into her back pocket and pulled out a small pocket watch. She opened the front and looked down at it as she ran her index finger slowly across the hands and gothic style number deeply embedded into the clockface. It was still rather early in the morning, and noe seemed to be in the actual school building yet. With a sigh she headed back outside and stood before the two buildings. she was thinking about waiting outside until it was later in the morning so that she didn't disturb any of the on-time students from their rest, when she first caught some noise, it was subtle but someone was up, it was hard to tell by the footsteps but possibly more than one person. But then again someone might have just gottenup for some water or something. None the less she carried on towards and then into the dorm building. It was subtle but every now and then she caught bits of conversations and voices. As she continued her journey further into the building she detected the slightest scent of a hearty breakfast. 'Perhaps they are awake,' she thought as she left her luggage at the bottom of the stairwell and headed on up till she reached the common room and stared blankly at the back at the at a solitary door, she was pretty sure it's where the noise and smell were coming from, but she wasn't to keen on disturbing people. She started slowly concentrating soley on the door, which were near visible by the vapor being released from under it, she nearly tripped on the carpet edge from being so careless. when she reached the door she placed a hand on it's frame and followed the grain of the door before rapping a knuckle against it's side, "Pardon me is anyone in there by any chance?"

Shtona looked up from his breakfast and set his fork down, still chewing a strip of bacon. He stood without saying a word to Kain and headed toward the common room door where the knock had been. He swallowed and opened the door, peeping his head through as he'd done yesterday, and looked into the face of a young girl who's eyes didn't back at his. Maybe she's shy he thought before speaking. "May i help you? he asked, ignoring the fact that she'd just entered his dormitory without permission, but he thought he knew why.

Anslia had slept in the clothes Shtona had given her and upon smelling the bacon, woke immediately. She scratched her head, trying to gauge when she next needed to shave it. And after splashing her face with water, she set out to find breakfast.
It wasn't too hard. A turn here - down another hall there, and there she was, back at the common room. She saw another person and assumed the door led to food. She arrived just in time to hear the question. "Of course there's someone in there," she grumbled, "pushing past the girl to get to the door." She came face to face with Shtona. "Morning. I'm hungry. Move?... please."

Piper was sort of startled by the set of new voices and quickly stepped from the doorway. "I'm sorry." She said calmly once the girl had passed her eyes stared blankly into the kitchen. "I'm sorry, I missed my train I hope my tardiness isn't to much trouble. I'm usual quite punctual." her voice never wavered from her calm demeanor as she tried to map out to the room with all the voicies floating around.

Shtona stood, a little surprised when Anslia suddenly showed up. "Good morning..." he muttered before stepping aside and letting her pass. He held the door for the new girl, "Would you like to join us for breakfast?"

Anslia nodded to Shtona... and offered him a little smile. She was trying to be a little less rude, but -- it just really wasn't her way. Upon seeing breakfast, her eyes lit up a bit. She hadn't seen food like this for quite a while.
Wihtout hesitation, she took the seat across from Kain and regarded him over her breakfast. Unblinking stare...

"Yes, if you don't mind." She said rather happily she ran though the layout in her head once more before entering the room and standing over by the table so that she would not be in anyone's way again. Once she was sure she had cleared from the main path through the kitchen she held out her hand in what she believed was the right direction, but all the bustle made it slightly difficult to see where all the sound was bouncing off the walls, peoples, and other objects in the room. "I'm sorry, the early morning, I've forgotten my manners. My name is Piper Terrly."

I was wrong, she's not shy, she's blind... So as not to embarress her he reached across the table to shake her hand. "Nice to meet you Piper, I'm Shtona, the headmaster of the Alchemist Training University, or the A.T.U. To your right is Kain and to your left is Anslia. They're your new classmates if my assumption that you're wishing to join the university is correct."

"That's correct. nice to meet you to." She turned once to her left and right to where he said some of her fellow classmates were and bowed her head slightly. "Nice to meet you as well." She greeted everyone with a faint half hearted smile. Once she was sure the path was clear picked one of the plates and put a small portion of food on it before sitting done at the table. As she sat the she placed her hand on the bottom of the table and tapped the wooden grain gently so that it sent out subtle vibrations to the floor and she could now clearly see the room and everyone who was in it.

"Well I figured it could help in my study of medicine. I want to be a doctor or in the very least a pharmacist. I want to be able to use alchemy to the extent where I can help people and if they're sick or injured maybe even save them." She simply looking down the table towards the headmaster, now that she knew where everyone was. She then looked back to her food and took her first bite of breakfast and washed down her bite of food with a sip of tea.

He smiled widely, trying not to laugh. Who would've thought i would have a student with the same specialty as me? he thought, swallowing another piece of bacon. "That's very good. Now, do you know any offensive alchemy?" he asked between bites.

"Well I know how to use offensive alchemy, I'm just more of a defesnive. None the less I'm a little out of practice in that area. I've never really had to use alchemy to well pursue or attack anyone, but they say the best offense is a good defense... and well if it's the other way around I guess I'm sorta out of luck then." She joked and took another swig of her of iced tea.

((OOC: I have to leave for a little bit, but i shouldn't be gone for more than an hour.))
He smiled at the joke, and thought for a minute, slowly chewing a piece of toast. "Well, i personaly believe in being good at both offense and defense. You never know if you're going to have to protect something, and usually when you protect something you have to fight back. Just to warn you, today is the day we're starting the mandatory sparring match. Every student will have to spar with me for however long they like. If the match is taking too long i'll end it without a winner. Win/Lose/Undetermined, you'll be a Freshman and be able to start lessons."
