Azurai
Lex swatted at it and fell backwards on the couch, watching as the shoe flew over him. Oh, so he wanted to play rough, huh? Lex grabbed a pillow and flung it frisbee-like at Lyrus, grinning wickedly. He eyed the thrown shoe and picked it up and put it on the couch, saving it.

"Diiin," he cackled.

Toddler Quest!

It is time for Lyrus to grow! Or so says his body, anyway. It is just aching to grow, and so you will need to find the boy a few things. Find him five feathers of varying colors, and a box to keep them in.

"A-Akilah!"

The call did no good. The toddler zoomed down the road fast enough to rival a baby cheetah. Well, maybe not,but Noyama thought so as she tried desperately to catch up with her. Lyrus was going to grow! And what was better? She could help! Feathers were certainly something she had in stock, and she'd even pulled out one of her good ones. It had hurt her arm bad,but she quickly forgot about it.

Mostly because her other arm had suffered more when Gizmo had clawed her. The griffon was loyal to no end,but pulling his feathers out was NOT a welcomed thought. Kilah had accused him of being a baby, and wrestled the stupid thing to the ground, pulled one of his feathers out and ran. In the struggle though she'd gotten a nice scratch, but right now it hardly mattered.

She decided against knocking, and set the note by the door. The two feathers were taped to the paper. Kilah hadn't written it,of course, but she had told Lucky to write, and Lucky said she copied it word from word.

Dear Lyrus,

I can't wait for you to get big! You'll be able to walk, and talk better! We can beat up Aard and you can learn to read just like me so we can both read better then Flitch! Maybe I'll teach you to read the way I have to. Grow soon!

Lyrus received another quest! I'm not sure what it's for yet, but we've done everything it said, so we should find out soon enough. See, I found this piece of paper from Chaco (again), and it said Lyrus needed to find five feathers of different colors and something to keep them in.

Almost immediately afterwards, I found a note (from Kilah) and two feathers taped to the door. Apparently news travels fast. But no worries <3 Two less feathers we had to find, after all. And it meant all the more to Lyrus that Kilah had given them to him. But we still needed three more, and the box.

So we went to the zoo! Where better, after all? So many different kinds of animals (specifically birds), so we were bound to find the feathers we needed. Which we did! Lyrus snatched a red one off a macaw (The bird was furious, I tell you.), and chased after a peacock to pull off one of it's tail feathers.

Poor birds. I didn't think he would pull feathers off live ones! I thought we could just find some lying around... Which we did for the last. It was a nice blue shade, and Lyrus found it on the ground near the lion cages, of all places. He seemed to really like the lions. I'm not sure if that's a good thing.

Aside from finding feathers, Lyrus adored the trip. Not because he got to see so many animals, but...well...because he got to make fun of them. Which he did. Especially the monkeys. He just sat infront of their cage and made faces at them. They didn't much appreciate that...

On our way out, we stopped in the gift shop and found a box for him to keep the feathers in. It's glass (which he loves), and has a stained-glass hummingbird on the cover, which I thought was appropriate considering the feathers. Ahh, I do spoil him so...

We've only just gotten home, but he still hasn't put the feathers up. Actually, I think he's arranging them all in the box right now. he's so proud of his new collection. Feathers and glass. Who would have thought?

Lyrus is a Toddler!

Lyrus has now become a toddler! ...But he has no hair. His horn seems to have grown, however, and the darm sigil-like pattern that was on his arm seems to have expanded to his face. Amaaazing. Or something like that.

My lord, I'm not sure how long I'll be able to handle this. Lyrus has grown. He doesn't look much different, just older, but his horn has grown a bit, and the markings from his arm have spread to his face. he can talk now. And walk. And gets into absolutely everything. The mark of a toddler, I suppose. Jax is just as bad.

But just a toddler and already getting into so much trouble... I should have expected it, i admit, considering his friends and history as an infant. Noyama is a very sweet girl, but Kilah... well, at least she's not as violent as Lyrus. Though I do wish she wouldn't encourage that behavior.

Lyrus and I (this is Banda, by the way) saw those two just yesterday, actually, to help Kilah complete a quest of her own. We all went to the museum to see a jewel exhibit...but when we got there, one of the employees said the tour was for the two Sin'aeis only. I should have protested...but no thought crossed my mind that it might be a plan to hurt them... Who would do that at a museum?

Noya and I went to look at one of the art galleries whil the Sins were on their tour. I loved it, but I'm not sure if Noya did...she seemed a bit confused by the whole thing. It really didn't matter, because she suddenly muttered something about Noharu, ordered me to stay back, and ran off the way the Sins had gone. Naturally, I followed.

But by the time I found them, it was over. Here's what Lyrus says happened: He and Kilah were taken to a room to see a set of jewels. They looked for a bit, and then their guide asked if they wanted to hold them. They said yes and he got out the jewels. Not long afterwards, Noharu showed up.

Lyrus says he still isn't sure what she wanted, only that she was being mean to Kilah. He punched her in the eye (I'm still not sure how he reached there), and she got mad and broke one of the jewels, releasing a....fairy thing that put an invisible wall around Lyrus and Kilah. Then, Noyama showed up and broke a different jewel, and that fairy set everything right... Rather far fetched.

....Yes, well, we just went home after that. So here we are. Lyrus is upstairs in his room doing...something. I think he's making himself more glass roses in case Noharu comes back. Let's hope that doesn't happen.... I'm going to work on my mural a bit. It's raining, and one wall is a storm. Perfect timing. Buh-bye!

Noharu broke my headphones. She tricked me... Pretended she was Noya. She, um...kissed me, and threw them on the ground while I was distracted. So now... Well, I can't hear anymore. The real Noya showed up after a bit.. We talked a little.. She tried to go fight Noharu, but I wouldn't let her..

It's not too bad, I s'pose... I was deaf before, I...can manage with it again for a while. And it wasn't a threat to me... it was to Lyrus. I haven't told him and I don't plan to. Noharu's a stupid.. stupid b***h and, from the few times we've met, not worth fearing. I'll just get Isto and Jack to stay within reach... Maybe Kama and Scion too... I'm not much use, but those four're pretty talented fighters. 'Specially Isto. Yeah...they'll help if I call 'em. That'll work.

"Come on, you little b***h."

Kilah snorted at the words of Noharu as she drug her along by the arm. Would it hurt to just call her a "brat" and leave it at that? Where were they going, anyway? She'd asked, but Noharu wouldn't tell, saying it was none of her business and she'd do what she said or end up like her "mother".

Assuming Noyama was said mother, she didn't know what happened to her, but she had a good guess...

"You remember what to say?" Noharu asked sharply, and immediatly afterward Kilah knew where they were going. To the mansion.

Her head low, she nodded and answered, "Yes, I remember."

Banda and Lyrus had arrived at the mansion not long before, but had remained outside due to the beauty of the day....and because Lyrus was running around with his Cera, and Banda didn't feel like going to the trouble of catching him.

At present, said SM was lounging under a tree, eyes closed and back against the trunk. He probably should have been paying more attention, considering he still couldn't hear, but oh well. If there was trouble, the Cera would let him know, even if Lyrus wouldn't. Besides, what could go wrong here..?

Lyrus, meanwhile, was chasing his cera back and forth across the lawn. The little ball of fuzz had FINALLY woken up long enough to play, and Lyrus using this opportunity for a good game of tag. The only problem was, the Cera could run faster than him...when it wanted to. "Taaaaaask, you run too fast!"

It wasn't long until Kilah heard someone, and right away she knew who it was. But how could you not hear it with all the calling and running and such? Unfortunately, Noharu had heard them too, her ears perked up intently as she grumbled a few words not for the ears of children. Er, most children.

"LY-MMM!" It was getting old having people cover her mouth. She glared in the direction of Noharu's voice and waited for the threat she knew would come.

"Don't you dare, you hear me? You say one thing out-of-line and I'll hurt that little flying rat of yours, got it?" This said, she pulled her hand back and harshly tugged the girl forward as they continued on.

Lyrus was getting tired. Task was FAST! Or maybe Lyrus was just slow? .....Of course not! But running was getting old. The toddler dove, hand barely brushing the Cera's tail as he landed on the ground. Almost immediately he was up on his feet again, clothes grass-stained, grinning triumphantly. "HA! You're it!"

He turned to run, but caught sight of Kilah and immediately lost interest in the game. Instead, he started towards his friend, the little cera running dutifully behind. "Kilah! How're you? Come play tag with me an' Task!"

Banda was still oblivious. Pity the deaf man.

"I-"

Noharu grunted, and the toddlers sentence went in a different direction, her tone changing as well.

"-can't."

Apparently pleased, Noharu nodded her head in approval and lifted the hand not holding onto Kilah's to pat the girl on the head. "You heard her, you little monster. Bug off."

Lyrus frowned, only then realizing that Noyama wasn't Noyama. Raising a hand, he jabbed a finger at Noharu, sticking out his tongue. "You're a stupid ugly b***h. I was talking to Kilah, not you, so stay out of it booger."

Folding his arms, he returned his attention to Kilah, cocking his head to the side. "I think you should. Actually, you should come stay with us for a few days. I'ma ask Banda, alright? He'll say yes."

"No, I can't go anywhere..." The toddlers tone was automatic, as if she'd expected his words and been told how to answer them. Probably the case.

"Aren't you sweet?" Noharu managed in a low, warning growl. Hearing the name "Banda" she nearly laughed. Oooh, this was too sweet! Lifting her gaze from Lyrus, she didn't have to look long to find him, and it took all she had to not look as amused as she felt. "And she's not going anywhere ever, I'm in charge of her now."

Lyrus seemed to have expected that reply, but at the same time wasn't at all bothered by it. Turning away from Noharu, he glanced around and finally found Task sitting not far away. calling the Cera over, he pointed out towards Banda. "Go wake Banda up, kay Task?"

The Cera blinked. Lyrus rolled his eyes. "Get Banda! You know, paint Banda?"

Task blinked, looked up at Noharu, then turned and ambled lazily back towards Banda. Lyrus sighed and turned back to the woman, quirking a brow. "Just 'cause you're in charge, doesn't mean she has to listen. Come home with me an' Banda, Kilah."

Stupid little b***h. Yes, let him get Banda. She'd save the news for when he could hear it. Oh, wait, he couldn't hear it, could he? No matter how hard she tried not to, she HAD to grin at that little reminder. Still, it'd be all the more fun to tell this little bratty grey kid with him around.

Even if she couldn't see it, Kilah must've sensed something. Or maybe the timing just fell into place, but when Noharu grinned she winced and shook her head, providing no other answer in response to the blue-eyed twins words.

However, said twin was more than happy to continue. "Yes, it does. That's exactly what it means. She belongs to me, and she'll do what I say."

"No it doesn't," Lyrus retorted, grinning up at Noharu. "She doesn't belong to anyone, and you're not her guardian, so she doesn't have to listen." But then why was she listening!? Maybe Noharu had threatened Gizmo again? Lyrus didn't see how she could. Noharu -always- threatened Gizmo. If she ever hurt Giz, she wouldn't have anyone left to threaten. Stupid booger.

The cera jumped calmly onto Banda's lap, and the SM opened his eyes, glancing down at Task and raising a brow. Glancing up, he looked around and soon noticed the group, grinning faintly when he recognized them. Climbing to his feet, he scooped Task up and slipped the Cera into one of his coat pockets, then started over, waving a greeting to Noyama.

If there was anyone who could honestly get under Noharu's skin (aka annoy the hell out of her), it was probably Lyrus. The kid just never shut and learned his place. For the time being, any interest in Banda was lost, and it almost seemed like she'd forgotten all about him when she kneeled down to Lyrus, grinning broadly.

"Oh, but she does have to listen to me. Because she has to listen to her guardian, and I'm her guardian now." There was the sound of Kilah's teeth grinding together, but she didn't seem to care any and continued. "Noyama's dead. The brats mine now. So you back the hell off."

The toddler was stunned into silence. He stared, horrorstruck, at Noharu for a short while, then finally blinked and snapped out of it. Lyrus scowled darkly, glaring daggers at Noharu. She was lying! She was LYING! She was....kneeling.

Lyrus snatched up and grabbed her hair with one hand, tugging her head down a bit lower and sending a swift punch towards her eye with his free hand. Lyrus loved when bad people kneeled. But he was still pissed. "You stupid lying b***h! She's NOT dead, and Kilah DOESN'T have to listen to you, and even if she WAS dead, Kilah wouldn't live with you, 'cause you're evil and stupid and everyone HATES you!"

Banda was halfway towards the group when Lyrus made his attack. Grimacing, he ran the rest of the way and pulled the toddler away from Noharu, thankfully unable to hear the variety of bad words Lyrus was continuing to shout. He looked up to apologize, but immediately fell silent when he noticed the blue eyes, remaining quiet for a short while and seriously considering letting Lyrus lose again. Finally, however, he just cleared his throat and nodded slightly, frowning. "Noharu."

Normally that would've set Noharu off, but not today. Today was much to good a day. It was the day of all days. And his reaction hadn't been quite what she'd expected, but it had the same effect on her. Amusing.

She glared faintly at Banda, apparently annoyed he dare to say her name. Let him read her lips now, the idiot. That thought in mind she turned back to the toddler with a dark grin. "Oh, Lyrus, that hurt my feelings. Calling me a liar like that! But she is dead. It's so sad, isn't it? But I watched her die, so I know she's dead."

Almost tauntingly her eyes slowly trailed to Kilah. "And Kilah wants to come with me now, don't you?"

Regretfully, the toddler bit her bottom lip and nodded very, very hesitantly. "Yes, Noharu, I want to come with you."

And read her lips he did. Banda was so shocked that he actually dropped Lyrus, failing to notice when the toddler climbed to his feet and started away. Banda cleared his throat a second time, glancing briefly down to Kilah, then back up to Noharu. He must have seen wrong, that was all. After all, she hadn't been looking at him, he could easily have mistaken.... "What did you say?"

Lyrus didn't cry. Lyrus NEVER cried, as a fact. But now he was having trouble keeping it back. As soon as Banda dropped him, the toddler ran off, occasionally stumbling in his haste, heading towards the mansion....in search of a weapon. Noya might be dead--it would explain why Noharu had Kilah--, but there was no way Lyrus would let that b***h take his friend away. He'd get her free, and they'd both go hide at the House, and all would be well and good and... but first he needed a weapon.

Hearing the steps running, Kilah's eyes widened a bit. She knew exactly what he was planning. But she couldn't let him do it! Noharu would hurt him too! Even though she'd said many times she hadn't actually "killed" Noyama, Kilah didn't trust her anymore then she liked that sister of hers. "Lyrus!"

Noharu didn't bother yelling or even calling after her when the Sin'aeis pulled away from her suddenly and ran after her friend, nearly tripping several times. What did she say? How annoying, making her repeat herself! This time she was looking at Banda. Right at Banda and only at Banda. She didn't repeat herself, though, instead just, "You know what I said."

Lyrus heard Kilah's call, but didn't bother to turn back, already formulating a new plan. Kilah had followed, and, he thought, Noharu wasn't coming after her? ...Perfect! This would be a lot less trouble. The toddler kept running, making his progress as noisy as possible so Kilah would be able to follow easily. Finally, he ducked behind a bush and waited for Kilah to catch up, watching to be sure Noharu wasn't coming.

Noharu's reply was enough to reassure Banda. Stupid woman, avoiding the subject. Grinning, the SM visably relaxed, slipping both hands into his pockets. "Ah, well, no worries then. We all know you lie about everything. So, where'd you hide her?"

"Lyrus...stop!" By time she caught up with him, the girl was leaning over panting. Since when could he run so fast?! And she'd tripped four times reaching him. "You..can't!"

Rather suddenly, Noharu looked nothing but serious. Her voice was deadpan, leaving no hint of what she was thinking, let alone if she was lying or not. Not that it mattered. Heh heh.

"Noyama's dead, Banda. I'm sorry, but it's indeed true. My people don't lie, none of us do. Have you ever heard Noyama lie? She's gone. Dead."

"I'm not gonna," Lyrus replied, reaching out and tugging Kilah into the bush with him. "Rest in here, just in case. We're gonna go hide. You can't go back with Noharu, Kilah, she's a b***h. Me an' Banda won't let you."

Voice tone meant nothing to Banda, though her serious expression did tweak a nerve. Shoving aside any negative thoughts, he chuckled softly and shook his head. "Noharu, I'll not believe you until I see it with my own two eyes. Your people may not lie, but I've heard one lie after another from you. This is just another. Noyama's alive."

"Hide? We can't hide!" Kilah protested in a squeak. Well, they could hide, but...she wouldn't! "Lyrus, what about Gizmo? What about my sister?" ...What about Gizmo, anyway. "Noharu's gonna hurt them if I don't do what she says!"

Not believe her? Psh. Poor boy must be in denial. How sad. Sad as in pathetic, but she of course found the entire situation funny. Rolling her eyes--well,the one good one she could roll--she reached into her pocket. A second later she'd tossed something at him, and didn't seem to care if it hit him in the head or if he caught it. "Here, take this. If it'll make you feel better." Loser.

The object she'd thrown was that necklace Noyama always wore. The black one with the red gem in the middle. She'd given Kilah one just like it at one time. But this one was hers, the original. The chain was rusted and the gem was worn.

"I...don't...know..." Lyrus muttered, spreading both arm in confusion. "We'll get them free somehow too. You can't live with her, Kilah, she'll hurt you. She'll hurt you, and you'll never have any fun, and you'll never get to come see me and Miggy..." he trailed off with a sigh, then looked back up, tapping his chin. "Maybe we could find somene to kill her. Who do you know who's super strong?"

Banda automatically caught the necklace, though it took him a moment to figure out what it was. Once he did, he silently slid it into his uninhabited pocket (Task had fallen asleep in the other). When he removed his hand, it held a small cellphone, which he flipped open. He nodded cheerfully to Noharu, then turned and started away, absently 'dialing a number'.

"Noyama, and she's gone," she answered, wiping her face. It was sweat. Not tears. Sweat. From running so much. "Noharu can't be killed, I don't think. She has all those people, and that monster."

It was one of those rare moments when Noharu found herself suprised. What the hell use would he have for a phone? Must've finally lost it, she mused. All it took was making him deaf and killing off one of his friends to kill him, hm? How weak.

Shrugging, she waved it off and made her way toward the two toddlers. "Come out, come out, wherever you are."

"There must be someone else..." Lyrus sighed, falling back to lay on the ground. "Anyone can be killed, I think. We just have to figure out how to kill her. ....What monster?"

Less than a minute later, Banda snapped the phone shut and replaced it in his pocket. Hooray for text messaging. Looking back up, he quickly headed after Noharu, reaching out and grabbing her arm. "Just another set up. She's not dead, just hidden, or else you wouldn't need to 'prove' you had killed her. She just wouldn't come back. It's all fake."

"I don't wanna kill her. Yama told me not to hurt. She made me promise." It was odd to hear her say things like that, and sound so upset. Had the circumstances be different, she wouldn't have kept such a promise, but Noyama... "Don't hurt her, Yama said not to hurt her."

Then she recalled the earlier mentioned monster. "A monster. Well, sort of. Sango told me it was a fox. A really weird one. Noharu says it's what killed Noyama."

Christ, did this guy ever give up? She could understand the denial at first, but damn, get over it. Giving him a dull look, she reached over and grabbed his hand, prying it off and brushing it away. "Look, Banda, I understand you're upset, but I gurantee--no, I swear to you--she's gone. Your proof is in the fact she isn't here."

Kilah was actually telling him NOT to hurt someone? An evil someone!? An evil someone who had killed her guardian!?!? ...Lyrus was so confused. And annoyed. Frowning, he sat up and folded his arms, muttering, "She made you promise, not me. We'll just kill the stupid monster too."

Banda knew Noyama wasn't dead. He also knew that Noharu would never admit it. He was just trying to buy time. And give the toddlers more time to get away, if they were still running...which he doubted, but nonetheless. "Then I want to see her. You know...pay my last respects and all. If she's dead, that should be no problem."

"You wanna see it? The monster, I mean. It's at my house in a cage. Sango says she heard one of the people with Noharu say if they didn't kill it they couldn't kill Noharu either." She might've promised not to hurt Noharu, but she never said anything about a monster. Kilah could kill that, and then Lyrus could kill Noharu. Sounded like a good plan to her.

Meanwhile, Noharu was clearly becoming annoyed with all these questions and requests and such. Eyes narrowing sharply she answered in a mutter, "Fine."

Lyrus considered the offer, then nodded, mumbling a 'yes'. They could go see this monster, and then they could come up with a way to kill it! His thoughts were almost identical to Kilah's; she could kill the monster, he could kill Noharu. ....he just had no idea how he would manage that. Details, details, they could fix that easily. "Yeah, I wanna see."

Her reply wasn't at all what Banda had expected. His confidence wavered somewhat, but he nodded. It was only another trick. The would go see, and Noyama would be fine, and they would get her free and....yeah....it was only a trick. "Good, good... When do we leave?"

"Okay, we'll get her then. For hurting Yama." Not just for hurting "Yama". For hurting Sango, Lucky, her, and whoever else would miss Noyama now that she was (supposedly) gone.

Noharu smirked a bit, seeming to sense that she'd taken him down a notch. Stupid Banda. "Now works. It'd be nice to get you out of my way early. And, you know, so the healing can begin."

"Now...works," Banda replied with a nod, but glanced up to the sky. He hesitated briefly, then nodded again, turning back the way the toddlers had gone. "Lyruuuus, c'mon, we're going to Kilah's house for a little while..."

"For hurting lots of people," Lyrus mumbled, peeking out of the bush towards Banda. He frowned, then turned back to Kilah, tilting his head. "Should we go...?"

Kilah hadn't hesitated to tell Lyrus yes, and Noharu hadn't hesitated to bring any of them here. In the long run it worked out for the better for her. She wouldn't have to find Kilah and drag her back here, she'd come willingly.

The hut wasn't...it's usual self. All the pegasus had been drug out of the barn, and the ones that had given anyone a hard time had a nice muzzle-like thing on and their wings tied down. Among such was Sassy. When Banda come into sight, the filly grunted and reared up.

Various people--er,demons--were scattered about the house. Purple hair, dark skin, blue, green, and sometimes red eyes. At times it seemed impossible to tell them apart.

In particular was one such male by the entrance to the home, holding the poor Tamoya up the tail. The persocom screeched and flailed in the air, a siren-like noise ringing out. "WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!"

Just seeing the hut so different was enough to worry Banda further. He actually wince at seeing all the bound peguses, nodding slightly in greeting when he recognized Sassy. As they made their way through the people, Banda did his best to avoid them, keeping as far a distance as possible between himself and the demons, and making sure Lyrus stayed just ahead of him.

Lyrus did not was to be here. Not at all. He didn't like it anymore. It was bad, and these people were bad, and Noharu was evil. The boy stayed directly infront of Banda whenever possible, resisting the urge to turn around and run back home. He couldn't help but feel that they were walking into a trap... And Lyrus didn't like that feeling.

Noyama had never had much funiture, though Lucky had demanded she at least have some. The small amount she did have was no flipped over, ripped up, and/or damaged in some way.

When they entered the house, a giant axe didn't chop all their heads off like Kilah was expecting. However, it was far from the friendly place Noyama had made it long ago. The two butterfly-creatures they'd gotten at the museum had been shoved in jars and placed carelessly on the floor, their attempts to escape the glass prison completely ignored.

With the exception of Lucky, no one familiar was in sight. And even then, the poor redhead was held back by another one like her holding a knife up to her throat, and no doubt she'd use it if she moved.

Far be it by Lucky to care. "Noharu, what the hell are you doing dragging more people in here!? They didn't do anything!"

"Relax, b***h, they wanted to come."

Banda hadn't been sure what to expect, but this was...not it. The house looked terrible. He'd thought she would have kept it in good shape, at least, if she were going to live there, but... He sighed and shook his head, looking up and noticing Lucky; he hadn't heard her. He frowned at the sight of the knife, but didn't comment, instead glancing down to Lyrus. You wait in here, alright? And don't get in trouble, please..."

Lyrus only nodded absently. He was more concerned with looking around the room...and trying to figure out how they could free Lucky. He didn't focus on her, instead looking around the room for anything that might help... like the jarred fairy-things. Perfect.

Noharu was a bit more then aggravated at Lucky's sudden outburst. What was more annoying was the other didn't seem to be afraid, despite having a sharp metal object against her throat. And doubt that she wasn't afraid would've fated with in the next few seconds.

Stomping over, Noharu harshly slapped the other girl across the face. Lucky, however, didn't seem to take it as much of a threat, because her head snapped back and with a hiss she spit right in the blue-eyed demons face.

"YOU b***h!" Noharu echoed the hiss and stumbled back, reaching her hand up and wiping her face off.

"You deserved it you gutter slut!" The redhead snapped back, then winced at the contact of the knife.

"DON'T kill her, I'll do it later..." Sticking her nose up, Noharu turned toward Banda and motioned for him to follow her, glaring in warning at the two toddlers before she actually started moving.

Banda winced, Lyrus cheered. the SM immediately clamped a hand over the toddler's mouth, sending him a warning glare before releasing him. Lyrus frowned and flopped down to sit on the floor, resuming his silent search of the room. Banda watched him for a moment longer to be sure he wouldn't risk anything, then started after Noharu with a sigh.

"Come on," Kilah whispered to Lyrus, waiting for a few seconds before she started moving too. It looked like she was following the older pair infront of them, but a short ways down the hall she turned sharply into another room and whispered for him to hurry inside.

Judging by the way her ears perked up, Noharu knew well the toddlers were behind them. And, judging by the way they lowered, she also knew when they weren't anymore, and she didn't care.

The basement was a place rarely used. Infact, Kilah didn't know they'd had one until Flitch had fallen down the stairs that once. Pausing at the door, Noharu glanced over her shoulder, looking as serious as she sounded. "You're positive?"

"But Banda said..." ....Ah, screw it. Climbing to his feet, Lyrus followed Kilah down the hall and ducked into the room when she did, waiting until Noharu and Banda had moved further down the hall to speak. "What're we doing here?" he whispered, frowning. "We have to free Lucky before they hurt her!"

Banda paused in step just behind Noharu, eyes fixed on the door ahead. When she looked back, he cringed inwardly, but nodded. She had to be bluffing. "Lead the way..."

"Shh!" It seemed Kilah still felt he was speaking to loud, and even put a hand up to his mouth to emphasize such. Lowering it, she nodded sideward. A square object was in the corner over the room. It was hard to tell what it was, exactly, because a blanket had been thrown over it. "The monster is over there."

"Suit yourself," was her answer, along with a carless shrug. She had warned him. Opening the door, she moved carefully down the uneven stairs, her eyes lifting only once her feet touched the stone floor of the basement.

And what a basement it was. Bigger then the entire upstairs, but much darker. And stone. The walls, the floor, everything. With two exceptions: a door straight ahead of them, and a door to their left.

Oddly enough, Noharu moved to the left one, knocking on it with an annoyed look. "Oi, got a moron here who wants to see Noya."

Lyrus bit back a retort when she put her hand over his mouth, frowning but falling silent with a nod. He followed the nod to the cage, eyes widening slightly with her words. Lyrus nodded frantically and peered over at the covered object, whispering as quietly as he could. "So how do we kill it?"

Clearing his throat, Banda followed the woman down the stairs to the basement, looking slowly around the empty expanse. He finally returned his eyes to Noharu, just in time to see her knock. And then his hope was back. Why would they go to so much trouble to guard a dead person? it just didn't make sense! Noyama had to be alive...

Regretfully Kilah admitted,"I don't know." Saying otherwise would have no point, even if it made her seem tough. Because she didn't know how to kill it...or even if they could. "Does it look really mean?" It only made sense she wouldn't know there was covering over the creature they spoke of.

With a grunt, the door opened and a purple-haired, tan-skinned male stepped aside, holding his arm in the direction opposite of them. Noharu rolled her eyes and led Banda on. And on and on and on. Finally, they reached an area with...prison cells!?

Two on each side, and Noharu motioned to the one in the very back of the place on the right. "There you go, right back there."

"I dunno," Lyrus mumbled in reply, eyeing the covered cage. "It's got something over it, so I can't see... I'ma go look." Without waiting for a reply, he started towards the cage as quietly as possible, reaching out a hand to pull off the covering.

Banda didn't bother to acknowledge the man as he passed, merely following behind Noharu, remaining as silent as ever. He shivered slightly when they reached the cells, but brightened up somewhat when she pointed out Noyama's, quickly closing the distance and peering inside. "'Yama...?"

"Careful..." The toddlers voice trailed off as the cover went whoosh and fell off the cage. Inside was no monster, but instead the small griff Gizmo. His beak was tied shut, and his legs were tied together. The poor thing snarled and glared fiercely at anything that moved--Lyrus included. If one couldn't see him, it was understandable they would've thought him a "monster".

Noyama was infact there, motionless, not awake, but certainly not dead. Judging by the way she sat there, someone had thrown her against the wall and knocked her out that way. Now, who would EVER throw someone against a wall...?

"So I lied, and she's not dead yet," Noharu whispered from behind him, "but she will be soon." There was a pause. Suddenly the bars sprang to the side, and rather forcefully Banda was pushed forward. Once inside the cell, the bars slammed shut again. "And so will you."

Lyrus jumped with the first snarl, but soon realized the monster wasn't a monster and calmed down. "Gizmo! Be quiet, me an' Kilah'll get you out. How do we open this thing?" he mumbled to himself, searching for the lock. "It's Gizmo, Kilah. Was all fake! Anyone can kill Noharu."

Banda breathed a sigh of relief when he realized she was alive, managing a weak smile....which immediately faded when he was shoved into the cell. He hadn't heard a thing Noharu had said, but now the mssage was clear enough. In an instant he was back on his feet and at the bars, but he didn't bother to try and escape. A trap... He should've expected it. He glared daggers at Noharu, but soon sighed and looked away, turning from the door and walking the short distance to Noya before dropping down beside her and attempting to wake her up. At least they were alive.

"G-Gizmo?" But Gizmo was...he couldn't be there! Kilah had just heard him before she'd been drug to that stupid mansion. They wouldn't have moved him just like that, right?

Something seemed to click. "LYRUS GET AWAY FROM IT!"

With Kilah's yell, the thing that was supposedly Gizmo suddenly shifted forms, and indeed it did seem to be a fox, with longer ears and a tail. It snarled loudly and it's red eyes glowed. The cloth latching his mouth shut and tying his feet together ripped, and he lunged at the bars of the cage, snapping at the toddler in an attempt to bite him.

Alive or not, poor Noya didn't wake up, let alone move. With the exception of her ears, that seemed to twitch merely out of instinct.

Lyrus yelped and tumbled backwards, but not before the creature latched onto his hand. Biting back a cry, Lyrus pulled back, shoving the cage away and finally managing to pull his hand free. Whimpering softly, he retreated from the cage to huddle beside Kilah, cradling his injured hand and glaring daggers towards the creature through tear-filled eyes.

With a sigh, Banda sunk down to sit on the floor beside Noya, hesitating briefly before shifting the girl into his arms. It had to be more comfortable than the wall, and it was reassuring to him. She wasn't dead. They would get out.

"Lyrus?" Kilah questioned worriedly, clearly concerned. How could she have let him get so close to that thing? She jumped when the fox hissed loudly and smashed against the bars again. Since Lyrus's hand was no longer avaliable, it bit into the bars and snarled so viciously it almost seemed like he'd break out.

For a short while Noharu had slipped away, but now she was back, and suprisingly she didn't have that grin she usually did when accomplishing something such as this. "This one here, you see?"

No one was in sight, but I voice did answer back. "He'ssss sssstrange. What'ssss the point of keeping him here?"

"It's bit me," Lyrus mumbled, barely above a whisper. Then, clearing his throat, he snapped back to reality and glanced down to his hand. Really, it wasn't that bad. The bite was rather nasty, and seemed to be bleeding a lot, but it could have been much worse...right? "It's bleeding, but I think I'm alright..."

Banda sensed rather than heard Noharu return, and, looking back up, noticed that she was speaking. But to who or what, he couldn't tell. There didn't seem to be anything else there. For now, he kept his eyes fixed on Noharu, trying to tell by he words what was going on.

"I'm sorry, I should've..." Should've what? Known it could shift like that? Maybe. "Well, I'm sorry anyway." Against her better judgement, and certainly not the smartest movement, she rose to her feet and wandered forward. Of course, when the snarling started she stopped, but she seemed unaware of how close she was. "Shh, shh, it's okay. Can you talk? Noharu said you can talk. We won't hurt you. It's okay, it's okay."

When the realization hit, Noharu blinked once before grinning michevously and lifting a hand to cover her mouth. Ha. Take that you b*****d. "Because he insisted he come, and he called me names!"

The other speaker didn't seem pleased, and an unusually large spider suddenly crawled up on one of the bars.

"I don't like him,he'sss unusssssual. Can I eat him? And the other one, too?"

The girl shook her head, then lowered her hand a snapped her fingers. The spider jumped a fair distance, landing on Noharu's shoulder as the bars clanked loudly, moving off to the side.

"S'alight," Lyrus mumbled, wiping his hand off on his pants leg. Blood was gross. But Lyrus had nicked his hands on glass pieces enough times not to be bothered by it, even though this was a lot more. However, he kept his distance from the little fox thing, merely glaring at it from where he stood...all the while trying to think up a way to kill the little b***h. "Be careful, Kilah..."

Banda frowned faintly and looked away when Noharu covered her mouth. So much for that idea. But the appearance of the spider quickly regained his attention. Was that who she was speaking to? And why a spider? Sure, it was a bit big, but still small enough for him to squash without much trouble. ..And then the door opened once more, and Banda tightened his arms around Noyama, glaring at both the woman and spider. "What do you want now?"

"I am,I am." Still, her voice sounded anxious. Very anxious. "It's okay, it's okay. Can you tell me your name?" It seemed Kilah had decided this strange fox could infact talk, but the only response she got was a snarl and the sound of bars being gnawed on.

Noharu glared upward at the racket, tempted to yell at them to be quiet. Only a matter of time until that stupid thing broke out and killed everyone up there, but that wasn't her concern now, was it? As she wandered in the cell, the spider jumped up and clung to the ceiling, seeming content to just watch.

Stopping only a few steps infront of him, she motioned out in the hall. "You can go now. Leave her here, though." Yes, run away. Run and tell everyone so I can get them all here at once.

Lyrus didn't like that fox. He remained huddled where he was, watching the creature out of the corner of his eye while trying to bandage his hand with part of his shirt. Evil little bugger. Lyrus couldn't wait to see it dead. And Noharu. But right now, mostly that creature.

Raising a brow, Banda shook his head. "No." Go? And leave Noya here? Absolutely not! Banda actually laughed, closing his eyes briefly. "You honestly think I'm just going to leave her here like this? If she stays, then I stay. Now get out."

As if the day hadn't been strange enough, Kilah's tone dropped to the point where she sounded...nice? Rather creepy, most would say. But indeed she did speak softly to this creature, almost seeming worried for it. "They took someone from you, didn't they? Did they hurt someone you like?"

In reponse to this, the fox haulted his gnawing and very, very slowly pulled back from the bars, lowering rather threateningly and baring his teeth.

Hearing Banda's answer aggravated her to no end. "FINE!" Then she stomped her foot childishly, stormed out (the spider falling onto her shoulder on the way) and screamed various threats at him, even if he couldn't hear them.

The slam and the yells were probably loud enough to wake the dead (if they weren't deaf, that is), so it wasn't all that suprising when one of Noyama's green eyes opened slowly, seeming quite suprised. "B-Banda?"

The snarls quieted, and Lyrus looked back up, watching the creature curiously from where he stood. What was Kilah doing? She couldn't try to understand that thing. Especially if they were just going to kill it. You shouldn't get attached to things you were going to kill.

Noharu's response rather surprised Banda. Instead of being worried by the threats, he giggled, watching her go with a smile. Actually, this was partially due to the fact that he couldn't tell what she was saying--she was talking too fast. He knew they were threats, but he knew no specifics, thus, it was funny.

It was actually a short while before he realized Noyama was awake. He hadn't heard her, nor had he had any reason to look down. When he finally did, he cheered up considerably, straightening up slightly and smiling down at her. "'Yama! I'm so glad you're awake. I'd been worried that....well... Are you alright?"

Maybe it was some mental connection Sin'aeis had and didn't know it, but--"Lyrus," Kilah said sharply, not scolding him, but almost as if to make him more alert, more aware of something. "I don't think this killed Noyama." Because as far as they knew she was dead. Banda probably was too. "I think it's mad because Noharu took something from it--she has Gizmo right now, and Sango too. If we can get it to talk, I think it can help us..."

Noyama made a face, but nodded just the same. Looking around, this didn't seem like a situation one would be found laughing in. Besides, it was weird to hear him laugh for some reason. Reaching a hand up, she rubbed the side of her head with a wince, grumbling a few complaints about it being slammed against a stone wall like that. Miracle she didn't have brain damage. As expected, "What you doing here, Banda?"

"Noharu killed Noyama," Lyrus replied with a scowl. Straightening up slightly, he started over, clenching his bloody hand into a fist. "And to kill Noharu, we have to kill this, right? That's what you said. And if it's mad, why'd it bite me? It should be mad at Noharu, not us."

It suddenly occurred to Banda that he was cradling Noyama in his arms, but...he really wasn't sure how to get out of that position without seeming rude. So he just leaned back against the wall, easing his grip and shrugging slightly. "I was, um...tricked. She kept saying you were dead, but I knew you were alive, and I made her prove it... I guess it never occurred to me that I was walking into a trap. But at least we're both alive, right?"

Kilah thought for a moment, and thought hard. Why attack them? That thing about having to kill it...it couldn't be true. The truth hit Kilah like a brick, not literally of course, and her head snapped up with a light gasp. "You can't see!"

The fox snarled and almost seemed ready to lunge at them again, but suprisingly made no movement.

Up until then, Noyama hadn't noticed either. Because she was Noyama, and Noyama was just like that. However, when she did notice, her face turned bright red and she nearly fell flat on her face moving away from him. She squeaked an apology, but he wouldn't know it with her hands over her face like that.

Then one hand went to grasp her necklace, a regular source of comfort or reassurance or just something to distract herself what, but when it wasn't there she looked terrified. "N-noharu!"

"It....can't see?" Lyrus blinked, stepping closer to peer in the cage at the little creature. Finally, he nodded slightly, forgetting his plans to kill the little beast and doing his best to soften his voice. "You can try Kilah, little fox thing. She can't see either. You're alike! She won't hurt you..."

Noyama scrambled away, and Banda blushed deeply, straightening back up and looking away. He neither heard nor saw her apology, though he saw no reason for one, so it really made no difference. He did, however, notice when he hand went to her throat. Remembering the necklace from earlier, Banda pulled it from his pocket, holding it out to Noyama. "Here, um, Noharu gave it to me earlier. I think she forgot about it."

"Like either of you could."

Even though Kilah had been trying to get the thing to talk, when it finally did she stumbled away and nearly knocked Lyrus over. "Y-you can talk!"

With a dull look the thing answered, "Of course, child, now will you two kindly leave me alone?"

"Ah!" Noyama resisted the urge to snap the thing up, and took it back much less rudely. However, she didn't seem shy about it at all when she hugged Banda shortly. Seems that old-looking necklace met quite a bit to her. "Thank you, Banda!"

"I could," Lyrus mumbled, sticking out his tongue at the creature...even though it couldn't see. "I'm just too nice. And why should we leave you alone? We could get you out of the cage thing if ya wanted."

Banda blinked back his surprise at the hug, instead smiling and nodding slightly. "No problem. She tried to use it as proof that you were dead..." Shrugging slightly, he looked down and slipped his hands into his pockets, immediately looking up. Out of one pocket, he pulled Lyrus' cera--still fast asleep--, and out of the other...his phone. Which was blinking every few seconds to let him know he had messages. Lots of them, when he checked. ...They had gotten his message. "We're going to get out of here, Noya."

"For what? So these people can track me down and kill me for disobeying?" He snorted and settled himself in the back of the cage, ears twitching, listening for the one of the two who had since fallen silent. But there was no other voice for now. "You two live here or something? It was stupid of you to come back."

Noyama had been hooking the back of the necklace when she heard what Banda said. Pausing, a rather dark, almost sorrowful look crossed her face. "Banda...Noyama can not leave. This is Noyama's fault. Noharu is angry because of Noyama."

"We came because Banda came," Lyrus retorted, but immediately fell silent. The toddler paled slightly and glanced for the door, momentarily forgetting about the fox thing. Banda had been gone for a long time...Was he alright?? What if Noharu had done something to him? "We didn't want to come."

Banda frowned, then shook his head, hesitating briefly before repocketing the phone. As long as Noharu didn't know they had it, they would be okay. "'Yama, she'll kill you if you don't leave. Noharu has to be stopped, and we can't do that if we're stuck in a jail cell. Just trust me on this..."

The fox grunted and lowered his head, and if he could see he'd be staring at them. What the hell was a Banda? "Go on, then, and find your 'Banda'."

She was glad...for a lot of things, countless things, right now. That she was alive, that Banda was alive, and most of all that she had that necklace to grasp as a distraction from...something. "Trust you much, Banda, but Noharu...not be mad at Noharu. People make Noharu angry. Bad people."

"Eh...He can take care of himself," Lyrus mumbled, mostly to reassure himself of that very fact. "Now, what'll we do with you, then?"

"Bad people?" Banda actually laughed, climbing to his feet. "Noya, Noharu's the bad person. Think of everything she's done! How can you justify that? Look at what she's done to you? And now she wants to kill you, and..." She shook his head, tugging off his hat and absently running a hand through his hair. "You can't stay here, Noyama. We have to get out.."

To Kilah, the subject of what to do with him was less important than others. Such as, "Where'd you come from? What--er,who--are you?"

For a while they got no answer, but when they finally did get a reply it came all at once. "My name is Momoro. Originally, I was 'created' to protect those people. You know, the ones with butterfly wings and the likes. Unfortunately, it's my knowledge they've been captured or something similar to that."

Noyama said nothing, just stared sadly at the ground, her ears flat. Noharu wasn't bad. Nobody understood her. Nobody but her, maybe. Even then she wasn't sure. But...she wasn't bad. Well, not maybe bad, but not evil. Silently, she nodded and averted her eyes else where.

"The fairy things!" Lyrus exclaimed, then remembered he was supposed to be quiet and covered his mouth, glancing warily towards the door. When no one showed up, he returned his eyes to the fox creature and nodded, pointing out towards the front room. "Two of 'em are out there in jars, but I haven't seen any others...unless they're still in the jewels? We could get 'em out, I bet."

Banda could tell Noyama didn't agree with him, but what else could he do? In his eyes, Noharu was obviously evil. Just look at everything she had done... How could anyone justify that? Any of it? No, it just didn't make sense. But Noyama didn't want to agree... Sighing, Banda sunk back down to sit leaning against the wall, closing his eyes. "Kilah and Lyrus are still upstairs. She obviously wants Kilah alive for some reason, but Lyrus... If she hurts him, I'll kill her myself."

"The term is 'Flutterby'," the fox corrected, rolling his eyes. "Such a stupid name I know, but it's what those people named them."

"Yeah, those." When she thought about it, Flitch had broken one of those gems last time he "visited" and let another one out. Had they gotten them all? "Lyrus, how many did they have?"

For now, Noyama remained silent, but her mind was racing. Noharu wouldn't really hurt Lyrus, right? I mean sure, he'd stabbed her in the foot and everything, but...

It seemed something also clicked, and her head snapped back up and sharply turned to him. Her voice was shaking but of course he wouldn't know it. "Banda--"

"WELL NOW. Isn't this cute?"

The purple-haired girl drew back and quickly looked toward the bars. Sure enough, there was Lucky fiddling with the lock, an annoyed look on her face. Her voice came in low growls. "Damn b***h, she's so stupid to leave me with those lackeys of hers. I should've killed them all. Reached down their throat and pulled their spine out--"

"Lucky!"

"Right, sorry."

"Flutterby, then," Lyrus replied, rolling his eyes. He thought back for a moment, then shrugged slightly, glancing back up. "I only saw two jars, and I think there's was one in each. They were sitting on the floor, so we could reach 'em easy, as long as no one stopped us."

Banda didn't hear Noyama speak, and it was actually by pure luck that he realised they were being rescued, happening to open his eyes once more. He immediately straightened up when he saw Lucky, then grinned and climbed to his feet once more, scooping Task off the floor and depositing the sleeping cera in his pocket once more. "Noharu's left?"

The fox didn't seem to understand their reasoning. This was made quite clear with that odd look of his and the confusion in his tone. "What in the world do you want those little rats for anyway?"

Lucky nodded and grumbled words no one her age should know. Infact, no one much older then her shoulder know such words, let alone know how to put them constructively together and say them out loud. "Yeah, she is. She went to that mansion to tell them you're all dead, I heard her say."

With little success on breaking the lock she hissed loudly and stepped back a bit, clapping her hands together and keeping them there. "Better step back if you don't wanna get burned, pretty boy."

"Umm...." Because...they...were trapped? Lyrus shrugged. "They helped the first time. Made a wall thingy, and trapped Noharu for us. Maybe they could do it again?" He paused, then again shrugged, blinking at the fox. "I wouldn't want to be stuck in a jar, would you?"

Thankfully, mumbling was hard to read. But Banda had a pretty good idea of what she had said. Disregarding this, he followed her instructions and backed away from the door, stepping to the side with Noya and watching curiously. She had gone to say they were dead... Well, hopefully those who had gotten his message would be waiting.

"Being trapped in a jar is no different then being trapped in a cage!" The creature shot back, snapping his teeth together threateningly. Kilah wasn't phased, and waved his behavior off. "We can get you out too, but you have to promise not to bite Lyrus again. Or me either."

Poor Banda had barely gotten to move before a burst of fire clashed against the lock. It burned and sparked until the metal dropped to the floor and the bars (or what was left of them) swung open. It seemed all was well--

But suddenly their was a lot of movement upstairs, and Lucky frowned, not suprised when Noyama bolted past her.

"s**t, knew I should've killed those guys." Rolling her eyes, she lifted a hand and motioned for Banda to follow her. "Well, let's go I suppose, it's not that--WHAT THE HELL!?"

There was one window in such a place, and from it one could only see clouds and clouds of smoke. They burned down the barn!?

The Lamb toddler rolled his eyes, clearly unimpressed by the creature's attitude. "Well, I never said we couldn't get you out too. But, yeah, what Kilah said. You have to promise not to bite us. That first one hurt." he grimaced, glancing down to his still-bleeding hand.

Banda cringed away from the flames, waiting until they had faded to relax once more. When Noyama ran off, he started after her, only pausing briefly to note the billowing smoke outside. But only briefly. Just as quickly he redoubled his pace, grabbing Lucky's wrist and half pulling her with him until she started running as well. "Was everything out of the barn?"

"Fine, fine, just let me out." It almost sounded like he was...whining? Infact, his "vicious" attitude seemed to have started feeting from the moment he bit Lyrus. The chicken Sin'aeis wrinkled her nose back, offering examples of ways she'd kill him if he hurt her friend again before, "Go open the door for me. I'd do it myself, but I can't see it."

There was a strange thump, but Kilah ignored it. Just the wind, she decided.

Lucky for lucky (-bricked-) running wasn't anything new to her. She ran all the time. Usually after Kilah who refused to do her schoolwork, but running was running. "I don't know, I guess all those guys took all the stuff out."

Lyrus grinned throughout the threats and actually debated adding some of his own, but decided against it. They didn't have time for that right now. Instead, he followed Kilah's order and searched for the cage door. He found it without much trouble, but the lock was a bit more difficult. Still, it wasn't long before he pulled back the latch and opened the door. "There ya go!"

Banda didn't run often, but could go a fair speed when he wanted to. Despite this, by the time the reached the main floor, he had fallen a bit too far behind. Still, the door was easy to find, and so he continued towards it to head outside, glancing back at Lucky. "Where'd Noya go?"

Without any thanks what so ever, the creature scurried out of the cage. A few seconds later, he wasn't a "creature" anymore, but a boy.

No older the them, with tanned skin and short, messy purple hair. His eyes were the brightest blue possible, and with a sigh he fall onto his back and breathed heavily. His clothes weren't any less familiar. Blue with the same pattern Noya wore, but his sleeves were longer and he had pants instead of a skirt-type-thing. "Jeesh! I thought I'd be stuck in there FOREVER!"

"The barn..." Lucky offered hesitantly, and it may or may not have been a good thing he couldn't hear the unsureness in her tone. Truth be told, she had no idea. She'd figured she'd went upstairs to find Kilah, but she couldn't hear her anywhere in the house. Which worried her, quite a bit. "Just stay here."

The toddler stepped back when the creature left the cage, mouth literally dropping open as it changed to...a boy. He blinked, rubbing his eyes to be sure he wasn't mistaken, then cocked his head to the side. "But I thought you were a.... He's not a fox thing anymore, Kilah. Um... He looks like a lot of those other people. Like Noya and Noharu."

"I'd rather not," Banda replied, tone surprisingly sharp. Altogether unusual for him. But it seemed he was always told to stay back, and, frankly, he was tired of it. Why should he have to stay back? Sure, he wasn't incrediably strong, and couldn't blow things up, but he was still helpful, right? ...Right? "If there's anyway I can help...?"

"Really?" Something said Kilah wasn't expecting an answer, that she already believed him, though it was a shock to her as well. The boy grinned as he sat up, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "Well, I wasn't that worried anyway. I could've beat you sooo easy, and your friends just a girl--OWWW!"

The toddler screeched and fell back again, holding his nose. "YOU BROKE IT!"

"I didn't break it, you sissy," Kilah hissed at him, lowering her fist. Good thing he'd been talking or she might've missed him. "Shut your stupid mouth." Then her nose wrinkled back again in reaction to something. A smell. A familiar one, but she couldn't quite place it...

Finally, "Lyrus, I think somethings on fire."

Lucky was taken back a bit, though not literally of course, and made no other motion other then the occasional blink for a few seconds. Mentally she scolded herself from wasting time. "Yeah, alright, go make sure Noya and all the stuff from the barn are okay. I'll get everyone out of here."

Lyrus' punch came a split second after Kilah's, and only missed because the boy fell backwards. He briefly considered kicking the boy instead, but decided against it with Kilah's words. Blinking, he looked around the room, and, seeing nothing, walked to peek out into the hall. Still nothing. He turned back into the room, and happened to glance towards the window, mouth dropping open at the clouds of smoke clearly seen outside. "It's outside, Kilah! Something outside's burning!"

Inwardly, Banda smiled, but outwardly kept his grim expression. When Lucky finally replied, he nodded and continued to the door and outside towards the barn.

"Right, then let's--" But Kilah had barely moved when she bumped into something and fell backwards. The boy whined and rubbed his head, glaring at Lyrus for attempting to hit him. It was strange, but apparently he wasn't blind in "this" form for some reason that was unknown to them for now.

"Something" was better known as Lucky, and she gave them all a dissaproving look before kicking the door beside her closed with one foot. "You just stay here, Ms. Akilah Ann Kther."

Uh oh. Middle name. The toddler knew much better then to argue against that. However, she did cuss non-stop for about two minutes.

As she did so, the boy regained his balance and sat up, eyeing her cautiously. "Your name's Akilah?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I met you once. As a baby."

Outside, the pegaus were going crazy. Rearing up and kicking at anyone who tried to get near them--including Noyama. Mild or not, they were pissed.

"Is okay! Calm down! Okay! Okay! Shhh!"

Lyrus was already planning a means of escape, frowning up at Lucky. Trapped in a room by their own teammate! The nerve. At least they wouldn't have to save her now. To console himself, he stuck his tongue out at Momoro, turning to Kilah, completely uninterested in any past history between her and this new boy. "Your middle name's Ann?" Snicker.

Big horse-ish things bucking and rearing and...erg, they made Banda nervous. Not to mention he wasn't at all sure how to act around them. But desperate times... He got as neared as he dared and tried to calm the pegasus from there, but that only served, he thought, to make the creature more frightened.

Backing off a bit, he shrugged off his jacket before approaching again, this time timing his motions and tossing the jacket on the pegasus' head, then immediately closing the remaining distance and taking hold of the jacket with one hand. With his free hand, he fumbled with the ropes binding the creature, and soon managed to untie them and pull them off, immediately afterwards stepping back and taking the jacket with him. "One down."

The pegasus calmed down, but it wasn't a surprise. Pine was one of the ore relaxed ones, but the others still seemed so worked up. The barn was gone, to late to save, Noyama knew it, but ugh... Stomping her foot, she screamed a few words in her own language.

Little known to most, they were not pleasent words. And it was such a surprise hearing them from Noyama even Wildfire settled down. Clearing her throat, the girl smiled cheerfully and tucked her hands behind her back. "Very good. Good." Casting a glance around, she noticed for the first time.

They were all gone now.

"Watch it!" Kilah hissed at Lyrus. God, she loathed that name. Infact, she didn't much care for her first one either. Ki laaa. Keeey laaaa. Sounded weird.

"Akilah!" The boys tone was so sharp it shut even her up. Sounding very serious, his features forming into an odd expression he continued. "When we're growed up, I want you to marry me."

For lack of a better term, Lucky nearly "died". She had to stumble out of the room and slam the door behind her. It did no good, they could still hear her laughing.

Blue eyes didn't seem to concerned about it. "I have to go now, but when we're both growed, and I'm ruler of the island."

"Or...that works too." Banda grinned faintly and glanced around the group of pegasus, moving towards the nearest to untie it. While he worked, he watched the barn out of the corner of his eye, finally stepping back from the second freed pegasus and turning his attention to Noyama. "Would there be anything else in the barn?"

The lamb toddler never took threats from Kilah seriously. He probably should have, but he didn't. They were too good of friends. She wouldn't actually hurt him. He continued giggling quietly until the boy's tone shut him up, and then quirked an eyebrow at said boy, watching him curiously.

And then the boy proposed, and Lyrus' good mood died. The toddler scowled and stomped over, grabbing Momoro by the neck of his shirt and tugging him over, practically growling under his breath. "Listen you little booger, Kilah was my friend first, so you can just find someone else to bother! Stupid sissy thing, couldn't even get out of the cage on your own, an' you 'spect to rule an island? Wuss. I'll person'ly take that island from you. Just watch."

"Fairys, but they can get out on their own. Hiding." Noyama was positive they were fine, just hiding. Not to say they were cowards, but timid by nature. Well...usually. There was an exception. Either way it was only a matter of time until they came back.

Kilah had swore time and again she'd follow through with anything she said. Pointless, since most knew she'd never hurt two people no matter what. One being Mignon, and the other, of course, being Lyrus.

But when such a demand suddenly came she couldn't do more then blink. People from Noyama's home were weird. You punched them and they wanted to marry you? Freaks.

Momoro squeaked when he was suddenly tugged forward, but after wincing he seemed to have a sudden supply of courage...or something like that. "Oh, you can still be her friend, Lyrus." Grinning, he reached a hand up and nudged his shoulder, pushing him back a bit. "But I'm gonna rule the island, AND I'm gonna get what I want, AND if I wanna marry Kilah that's what I'm gonna do."

Before much could be said, he turned to look over his shoulder and waved sweetly. Didn't matter if she couldn't see it. "Bye, Akilah, I'll see you when we growed up!"

Sticking his tounge out at Lyrus, he dashed to the door (very fast, to avoid being hit) and pulled it open. Lucky was still distracted by laughter, and didn't even seem to notice when the boy ran outside and vanished into the groups of trees around Noyama's house.

Nodding, Banda turned to the next pegasus and began untying it. It seemed the worst was over. True, the barn had burnt down... But at least no one was hurt. They were free, and everyone was safe, and Noharu and all those people were...gone? "Where'd everyone go?"

"I. Don't. Like. That. b***h." snarled Lyrus, glaring daggers after the boy. Let the little coward go, then, if he wouldn't stand and fight! Stupid wuss. After considering going after him, and deciding against it, Lyrus flopped down on the floor with a huff, frowning up at Kilah even though she couldn't see it. "So now what?"

"Don't know..." Even to Noyama, it seemed unusual. Since when did Noharu have those minions of hers run away so fast? Her eyes narrowed on the remainder of the barn, and she couldn't help but wonder...

Snapping out of her trance, she pat Wildfire's nose and nudged the mare toward the others. "Thank you much, Friend Banda."

"I thought he was cute," Kilah offered jokingly. Chances were he wouldn't find it funny. At least she was confident enough to joke about that even though she couldn't see. Maybe it wasn't confidence, though.

More serious (well, serious as a toddler could be), she shrugged her shoulders and waited for Lucky. Soon enough, "You guys can come out now. They're all gone. It's okay."

"Was no problem," Banda replied with a smile, shrugging and returning to where he'd dropped his jacket. Picking it up, he shrugged it back on and glanced out towards the barn. "I'm sorry about what happened. Noharu did a number on your place... If you need help fixing things up, I'd be happy to."

No, he didn't find it funny. Lyrus bit back a retort when he realized she was joking, shrugging and turning away with a huff. He remained silent until Lucky called them out, finally speaking once they were out of the room, though it wasn't addressed to anyone in particular. "So now what?"

Noyama was silent for a while. Finally, she shook her head with a slight frown. "No, no, Friend Banda has done much already." Scratching one of her ears, she made a face as if suddenly realizing something. "This distraction for...something. Is...not like Noharu to run away. Not like any of them."

But she didn't have any right to complain, right? At least they were all safe. Unfortunately, it just wasn't safe here anymore. Akilah would have to go with Chaco for a while, probably. "Akilah! Out here please!"

"Guess we go outside," Kilah grumbled with a roll of her eyes. Whenever Noyama called her like that, it was never good news. It was a hassle getting to the front door with everything scattered on the floor like that. "Coming, 'Yama!"

"It wouldn't be any trouble," he replied quietly, smile fading somewhat. He shook his head and turned back to Noya, quirking a brow. "A distraction? But, what else could they do? We're not nearly as strong as all them, you know? Why go to the trouble if they were just going to attack again?"

With a shrug, Lyrus followed, eyeing everything scarttered on the floor when the reached it and debating guiding Kilah around it. ....But he soon decided against it and cut through alone, heading outside ahead of Kilah and starting towards the adults. "When'd you get out?"

After nearly tripping four times, and responding bitterly to any help Lucky offered her, Kilah finally reached the trio, and soon there were five.

Lucky just seemed annoyed. Well, maybe a little more then annoyed. It looked almost as if the next person to say the wrong thing would get very hurt, very fast.

"Don't know," Noyama admitted, sending Lucky a 'calm down' sort of look. Hesitantly, she kneeled down to Akilah and pat her on the head. "Akilah, you and Lyrus did very good." There was that frown again, but she didn't sound very upset. Tilting her head a little, she said a few words in her own language, which Kilah seemed to faintly understand.

The Sin'aeis muttered barely loud enough to hear,"Thank you."

"Thank you, Miz Noya," Lyrus mumbled, not really paying attention. Task had finally woken up and was climbing out of Banda's pocket, which briefly distracted Lyrus while he came to the cera's rescue. Scooping up the little creature, he deposited Task on his shoulder, amusing himself by petting the cera's back.

"Well, umm..." Banda cleared his throat, absently rubbing the back of his neck with one hand. "Lyrus and I should... probably be heading home. I left Isto a message, and Moo's probably scared to death by now.. If you all need a place to stay for a bit, I'm sure she'd let you stay at the House. I could ask.."

Kilah couldn't see, but she could feel Noyama staring at her, and it made her a bit nervous. She blinked when her protector suddenly lifted her hand from her head and smiled brightly at Banda. "No,no. Is fine. Kilah will be at Aylee's for a while. We...fix the barn, not want her to get hurt."

Fix the barn? FIX THE BARN!? Looking at the charred remains, the redhead had to wonder how the hell they'd EVER "fix" that thing. When she finally looked back to Noyama, she seemed to finally get something she hadn't until then. "Oh...yes. You know how children like to get in the way of that stuff."

"If you're sure..." Banda's smile faded slightly, but he soon perked up and nodded. "Well, we'd best be going then... If you need any help, just ask." He nodded politely in goodbye to the trio, then started back for Aylee's mansion to reassure anyone who had gotten his message.

Behind him, Lyrus mimiced his motion and nodded a goodbye to Noya and Lucky, then turned and started after him, waving back to Kilah even though she couldn't see it. "Bye Kii! See ya soon!"

This is Isto again, believe it or not. Moo's gone off somewhere and took banda with her, so she left her shorties with me. Not that I'm complaining. Adroi and Coen are no trouble whatsoever, and Jax and Lyrus...well, as long as they stay apart, they're pretty well behaved. I think. I've been working from nine to five, as usual, so Jack watches the during the day...And according to him they haven't been too bad. But you know Jack. I doubt he pays attention half the time.

Ah, well, I do know for a fact that Lyrus and Jax have been playing with Jack's shorties, Dari and Zach, so they keep themselves entertained pretty easily. Jax gets along very well with the twins.... Which, naturally, means Lyrus hated them on sight. S'a pity. I think he and Dari would've gotten along well if they'd given each other a chance. They're both little buttmunches.

Don't tell Moo I said that.

Speaking of whom, she's supposed to be coming home soon... Banda called last night, but mentioned something about there maybe being a delay, so we'll see. Could be worse, I s'pose. At least no one's gotten hurt yet...

Bwahahaha. Take that booger nephews. Lyrus had finally found Isto and managed to convince his 'big brother' that they should go to the mansion. That meant no Jack, which meant no twins. Score. And, they got to take the bike.

With a final roar to announce its arrival, the motorcycle wheeled up to the mansion, stopping dead a few feet away. After turning off the bike, Isto glanced down at the toddler seated between him and the handles, quirking a brow at Lyrus' expression. "You really do like that, don't you?"

"YES!" Lyrus snapped automatically, then grinned to ease it and slid awkwardly off the bike, managing to remain standing when he landed on the ground. "Coolest thing ever!! EVER! I'ma get one, akay?"

Laughing, Isto climbed off as well and started after him for the door. "Yeah, you do that, shorty. I doubt Moo'll let you. Mine was a gift, or she would've never let me get one either."

"She'll let me," Lyrus assured him, pushing open the door and leading the way into the mansion. "Anyone heeeeeeeeere?"

Yukito lifted his gaze from the book that he was reading, the one that he had borrowed again for the millionth time from Dr Kellen. It was so interesting that he was reading ahead in the pages. He wanted to learn everything that he could so he had reread sections several times wanting to learn the anatomy stuffs inside and out. No pun intended.

He heard a voice, not one that he knew or had ever heard before that caused him to get up to his feet and hugging the book to him he bounced over to the doorway and peeked out to see who it was. Someone loud that was for sure.

He blinked, nope. He didn't think he had ever seen this person before he thought to himself as he came through the doorway, "Ahh. Hello." He greeted to Lyrus, "Don't know if anyone else is around aside from me."

Though he didn't recognize the voice, and person was a person, and Lyrus wanted someone to talk to. Turning towards Yuki, he quirked a brow, eyeing the older Sin'aeis suspiciously. "You're tall," he announced, as if it wasn't obvious.

Lyrus hadn't know of any Sin'aeis who were older than toddlers--and this boy was obviously a Sin'aeis. But just because he hadn't heard of them, didn't mean there weren't any. There would have to be eventually, after all. "I'm Lyrus," he continued, gracing Yukito with a faint grin and holding out a hand. "And that's Isto. Who're you?"

"Pompous turd," Isto muttered under his breath, but nodded politely in greeting to the Sin'aeis before backing off to lean against the wall. Let Lyrus meet people. Isto was just here to be sure the shorty didn't hurt anyone.

Yukito gave a bit of a laugh and nodded, "Yeah. I am tall." He said, no doubt cause he was older but he left that bit out and tilted his head a moment as Lyrus held a hand out to him and he smiled and took it, "Lyrus is it? My name is Yukito." He introduced himself.

"Yukito, Yukito," Lyrus mumbled, absently shaking the older Sin's hand. "I've heard of you, I think. From Kilah. But I might have you mixed with someone else... hmm... Well, maybe not. Do you know her?" He blinked up at Yuki, suddenly somewhat wary. He knew Kilah knew some people who were -bad- for one reason or other. He just couldn't quite remember who these stupidheads were. He'd have to ask Kilah next time he saw her.

Yukito couldn't help but laugh as he made his way back over to the couch to sit down, "Yeah I know Kilah. And I'm sure that you've heard about me. I'm pretty sure I'm high up on that list of people she wants to get rid of." He said setting his book on his lap.

He wrapped his tail around his waist and tucked his spraineded ankle out of the way, "Are you a friend of hers then?" He asked curiously.

Ohhh, so this was one of the evil people. That was a pity. He actually seemed nice enough. Not like booger Lex who caused mayhem and destruction for no apparent reason. Lex was a stupid b***h. Just like the twin nephews. So there.

Frowning only faintly, Lyrus followed Yuki over to the couch and climbed on to sit beside him. "Eh, I'm not sure. I haven't heard of you enough for you to be too high on the list. I know Aard's first, though, even though I haven't met him."

The Lamb toddler grinned, then shrugged and slumped down on the couch. "Uh-huh. A good friend, and second in command of her Mafia, even though I'm not a bird. That's how good a friend. But I'll give ya a chance, 'cause Isto's here, and if Isto gets mad he won't take me for rides on his motorcycle."

"I think a big part of me being on the list is me being a friend of Aard's, past that it would be my hobbies." He said with a smile, it was good to see that Kilah had a good friend like this. Yukito wasn't exactly sure what the 'Mafia' was that the boy was talking about. Some sort of club that Kilah made no doubt.

"I thank you for the chance. I doubt I would be much of a challenge if you decided to try to take me on. I can't even keep my feet at the moment." He told Lyrus and bowed his head politely in thanks. He didn't really have fighting in him but with a sprained ankle he wouldn't be able to run from the fight either. Best to try to keep things neutral.

"Yah, that would explain it," Lyrus replied, grimacing. "Kilah hates Aard. I'm really not sure why. She never told me. But she does." They had probably had a fight or something. Lyrus could understand that, cosidering it was Kilah. But Kilah tended to fight with lots of people, so did that automatically make them bad? It must. Kilah never fought with him.

"Oh, you wouldn't be," the toddler assured him, eyeing Yuki thoughtfully. "I stabbed a lady in the foot once with a glass flower, and then punched her in the eye twice on other days. Only when she was being mean, though. She had it comin'." And she did, too. Stupid Noharu, hurtin' Noya and Kilah and breakin' Banda's headphones...

Noticing Yukito's ankle, Lyrus dropped the subject in favor of the new, curiousity aroused. "What happened?" he asked, pointing it out. "How'd you get hurt?"

Noharu? Yes. That woman deserved anything that this one did to him. He didn't like her, didn't trust her in the least. She was a bad person anyone could tell that just by looking her eyes, "I know of that woman. And she did have that coming." He said, he felt a bit bad saying that when he was training to be a healer. He wasn't supposed to want for others to be hurt but he did.

"I fell. I didn't know that the hill I was standing on was so weak. It sort of crummbled out from under me. I tummbled down it and happened to land on my ankle." He said with a laugh, "It's getting better though."

"She broke Banda's headphones..." Lyrus sighed, absently reaching up a hand to scratch near his horn. "And now he can't hear again. If I'd been there, she wouldn't've been able to, but I was upstairs making roses..." Sometimes Banda annoyed Lyrus. He was too nice, even when people were mean to him. But Banda was almost as much of a parent as Moo was, and Lyrus didn't like seeing either of them get hurt.

Snapping back to the subject at hand, he grimaced faintly, eyeing the ankle a moment longer before shuddering and leaning back. "That must've hurt. At least it's getting better, though. I get cuts all the time from my glass." He held up both hands for inspection, showing off a small array of scars already appearing along his fingertips. "And I got bit by a meanybutt fox boy a couple weeks ago. But never anything that bad."

Yukito took the boy's hands in his looking them over carefully, "Glass?" He asked curious about what he meant by making roses. He gave a bit of a 'Hmm' sound as he looked the cuts over. The didn't look to bad, nothing that wouldn't heal but deep enough it seemed to leave white line scars.

He looked up at Lyrus, "This must hurt. How do you get them?" He asked.

He thought momentarily on the thing about the fox wondering idly if the 'meanybutt' that bit him was Solo or if maybe all foxes were meany?

"Want me to look at the bite? I'm studying to be a healer so I could help if it needs cleaned or anything like that." He offered. Lyrus was Kilah's protector so he needed to be strong and whole. Not laid low by infection from something biting him.

"Not really," he chirped, pleased with the attention. "I'm used to 'em. I get new cuts so often that they don't bother me anymore." He paused briefly, unsure how to explain his ability, but finally shrugged. "I make glass things. Pretty stuff. I used to just etch designs on glass discs, but then I realized breaking the discs and using the pieces to make new things was much better. And I can hook 'em together without glue or anything, 'cause my ability is to make pretty glass things, so they always look really neat. I make a lot of glass roses. They're pretty, and they're useful."

And then...Lyrus realized he was rambling and fell silent, eyes turning to examine the scars on his fingers. After a moment, he flipped over a hand and pointed out a scabbed bite mark along the palm to Yuki. "That's where it bit me. The back too, but not as bad, so that's already healed."

"Glass roses?" He asked eyes widening a little then he smiled, "My Protector bought me a couple of those. I would like to see yours sometime if you would like me." He said as he turned to dig through the bag that sat on the floor next to the couch. He got out a plastic baggy that had some water in it and a tube of antibiotic.

He took Lyrus's hand in his again and used the damp cloth to wash the bite, rinsing away the scabs there. Then dabbed it off. The wounds weren't bad and didn't show any sign of infection. There was the problem of them being on his hand so that meant that they couldn't have bandaids put on them.

He set the cloth aside and squeezed some of the ointment onto his finger, "This will fend off germs." He explained as he rubbed it onto the bite, "There you go." He said with a smile as he put everything away.

"Really?" The toddler blinked, then nodded, grinning. "A'course! I'd be happy to show you. And I'd like to see yours too, at that. Might give me some ideas for making mine better." In truth, Lyrus was getting tired of his own roses. They were nice, but they were rough. Maybe he could find a way to soften them, color them... something to make them more interesting.

Lyrus watched curiously as the older Sin cleaned the wound, stretching his hand experimentally once her was done. Seemingly satisfied, he nodded, glancing back up to Yuki with a grin. "Thanks. Mayhaps it'll heal faster now, ya think?"

"Of course you could see them. They are rather nice, one is normal rose colored and the other is blue." He said then looked back at Lyrus and gave a smile, "Your wound should be fine and will heal fine too. The other side looks fine so there was no infection and it healed faster since it wasn't as deep. That should be healed as well in a couple days."

He gave a little sigh, it was to bad he was sure that being friends with Lyrus would be out of the question. For some reason he didn't think that Kilah would like the idea of her best friend buddying up with one that she hated. A shame, Lyrus was cool.

"Mine're just normal colored... It's hard making clear glass colored. I can do it, but I can't make it any specific way. It just kinda does what it wants." He shrugged, absently tapping his fingertips together. "They're still pretty neat, though. Look a lot like glass. I'm glad my hand'll heal soon. It's been really itchy and annoying..."

Lyrus frowned down at the cut, then returned his eyes to Yuki. After a short while, he cocked his head to the side, looking thoughtfully. "I wonder why Kilah hates you. You don't seem bad to me. And you helped with my hand even though I'm s'posed to hate you, too. It doesn't make much sense."

"I'm going to be a Healer. Friend or enemy its a Healers duty to heal not to pick sides." He said then gave a smile, "Not just that though you seem really cool so it was the least that I could do for you. Especially since you were so kind as to give me a chance." He told him.

He gave a bit a sigh then leaned back on the couch, "I doubt she believes it or ever would consider it but I don't dislike anyone. I really miss being around Kilah I hung out with her a couple times when she was a baby." He said. She had been cute then and he had hoped to be friends with her.

"That makes sense, I s'pose.." Lyrus smiled faintly and shrugged. "Well, you were nice, so I was nice. First impressions are important, Moo says. Not like Lex. He was a b***h from the start, so I was mean right back. Him and the evil nephews. They're boogers."

Never faulting in stride, he again shrugged, continuing, "Oh, Kilah wouldn't not like you just 'cause you didn't like her. I mean, she would. But she just doesn't like some people. But I'm the same way, so it's alright. Like, I think Zach might be nice, but Dari's a stupidhead, and since they're twins and look alike I hate them both. Kilah doesn't like many people outside of her mafia, I think. Her mafia and me and Mignon. Yeah, that's it."

He nodded in understanding, "Well I guess if I can't be her friend its good that she has friends like you and Mignon, people that will be there for her ya know?" The end of his tail swished a little as he thought about it and he smiled. Was good that Kilah had someone that was willing to fight for her, to protect her, to take on that mean lady.

Then he tilted his head to the side, "Lex?" He asked as it sank in just how much Lyrus seemed to dislike the person. He didn't think that he had ever heard of him before.

"Yeah, I s'pose. And everyone can't be friends, ya know? 'Cause then things would be boring. Plus, I don't think it would work. But as long as everyone has some friends, then everyone doesn't need to be friends, right?" That either made perfect sense, or Lyrus had just seriously confused himself.

Deciding the former, Lyrus moved on to the next topic: his evil buttfaced enemy. "Oh yeah, Lex. He's, um, ice cube, I think? A real b***h. Not only is he mean and stupid, but he kicked Moo's table and got dents all in it, and smashed a crayon so that it got all on the couch, AND stuck another crayon on my horn!" He pointed angrily to the horn in question. Calming down somewhat, she he glanced warily around, then lowered his voice, practically whispering. "And the worst part... I think we're going to be brothers."

Yukito's eyes widened more and more as each of the 'Ice Cube''s crimed were all listed off, the way that Lyrus made it sound they were massive crimes for which only extreme punishment would make right. He then gave a little 'ahh' sound as the last thing was said, no doubt the worst in Lyrus's mind as well.

"A brother huh? How's that?" He asked curiously.

Lyrus flopped back in his seat, sinking lower on the couch with a huff. "Moo's gonna get married, I think. To his guardian. The crazy lady. 'Least, that's what Banda told me. But Moo hasn't officially said it yet, 'cause she keeps going off on trips, so I'm not sure. I don't WANT to be that booger's brother! He's a turd and I hate him," he finished, growling.

Yukito tilted his head, "I'm sorry." He told him, he didn't like the idea of him being so bummed out. Though now his own mind was whirling. What exactly was getting married? Was that what Aylee and Rayne were doing? Was that why they were moving in together? He blinked a couple times. It made sense to him. They seemed to like each other.

Maybe he should ask Chaco? He knew more about things then Yukito did. Would that mean that Chaco was gonna be his brother? He blinked a couple times, "Hmm. Does married involve moving in together?" He asked of Lyrus. Maybe he would know?

Though somewhat cheered by Yukito's concern, Lyrus' frown remained, arms folded across his chest. "I think so," he mumbled, then nodded towards Isto. "When he got married, he moved out, Acia says. Went to live with the guy he married. And Jack's getting married soon, and he's been living with the lady he's marrying for a while now. But I think there's more to it than just living together."

Really, the whole process rather confused Lyrus. Moo was supposedly marrying a lady, when she was a lady to start with. And Isto was a man, but had married a man. So maybe marrying someone was just going to live with a friend who was the same as you? But Jack was a man, and he was going to marry a lady, and that really didn't make sense 'cause Jack wasn't even girly. But Isto's husband was girly! Maybe Moo's girlfriend person was manly? The crazy lady sure hadn't seemed that way. Erk, Lyrus was confused.

Yukito's eyes got a bit wide then he slumped back on the couch thinking on it, "Wow... I think my Protector Rayne is marrying Miss Aylee, Choco's Protector." He murmured in shock. He wasn't sure what he thought about it one way or the other. Just that it seemed bad to learn it this way instead of from her.

Well the women were both insane so that meant that they suited one another right? He wasn't sure, "Weird..."

"Well huh." Lyrus blinked, straightening up somewhat. "'Least I'm not alone now. Is Chaco nice? I don't really know him." He scowled faintly, muttering, "At least you're not stuck with meanybutt Lex. Adults are weird. I don't see why they need to marry anyone. Can't they just live together without being married? Miz Lenta lives at our house, and she and Moo aren't married."

"Aylee and Rayne are just plain weird as it is. Maybe weird sticks together?" He said then sighed and nodded, "Chaco is neat. Hes the one that makes all of the babies. One time he made a baby with Solo." He told Lyrus. He had heard all about it from Rayne, "Solo is Miss Aylee's Fa'e boy. He's a mean fox too. Could have been related to the one that bit you." There was a good chance. Solo was only nice to Lucien it seemed.

"Maybe... Moo's pretty weird, and Miz whatsername's really weird, so it'd make sense. But Isto's not weird, even if the guy he's married to is girly. And Jack's not weird except that he can't understand when his kids talk." Lyrus echoed the sigh with his own, then straightened up once more, absently tapping his chin.

"I remember Chaco, sorta. And Kilah's mentioned him. Solo... Maybe all foxes are mean. The one that bit me was actually a boy, but he could change what he looked like or something. He was a fox first, and that's when he bit me, then we let him out of a cage and he turned into a boy, and said he was going to rule and island and that Kilah was going to marry him. And I was gonna punch him 'cause he was a booger, but he ran away. Stupid wuss."

He nodded, "Maybe its foxes then." He said. If it was a different one then Solo that was then TWO foxes that were mean right? So that made the odds of most of them being mean, "My Protector Rayne is part fox but I think the fox she is is what makes her so weird." He murmured then laughed, "She dressed my brother up in a dress." He said then gave a glare, "Did the same to me though."

Maybe if they moved in here then she would have other people to bother? Thats a plus. Have her dress Chaco up and he could hide.

"Foxness must just mess with peoples brains," Lyrus decided. "And the more fox you are, the more it effects you. It made Rayne weird, but it makes the ones who're really really fox meanybutts." That sounded good to Lyrus. And gave him and excuse to punch Momoro in the face next time he saw him. Stupid fox boy.

"I have never ever worn a dress, and I never ever will," he declared, grinning. "But Moo told me Isto has before. Or a skirt, at least. But anyway, it's alright for you to wear a dress, 'cause you have long hair. It works, I think. But I don't know your brother..." Lyrus tapped his chin thoughtfully, then shrugged and pointed to his head. "I don't have hair. Not yet, anyway. Just a horn. So I can't wear dresses. Not that I want to."

That made sense. The percent of fox in you determined how weird or mean you were. Interesting. Then maybe Miss Aylee was fox but nobody could tell? He nodded to himself. Probably a magic trick or something.

"Ugh. I don't ever want to wear one again. Their for girls and despite what people want to think of me I'm NOT a damn girl." He muttered and fiddled with his hair, "Tempting to chop it off... but... then again I kinda like it." He sighed.

"I didn't say you were a girl," Lyrus snickered, but shook his head. "Don't cut it. You'll wish you hadn't after you do. Unless it grows back suddenly like Isto's mohawk. Moo shaved his head once, and he just turned monkey-ish and back and his mohawk was back! It was neat. But, hmm... Hair seems like a lot of trouble. Especially if it's long. I don't have to worry 'bout any of that, though." He grinned.

"Naw its my family that is so kind as to call me a girl." He said then rolled his eyes and tugged on a lock of hair and smiled, "I doubt I would cut it. I don't want to, I like it and besides I don't think that would make me instantly like your or like Mae." Like a guy. He was... girly despite him not wanting to be. He gave a bit of a pout at the thought.

"To each his own," Lyrus replied, shrugging. Not that he was entirely sure what the phrase meant, but Moo said it often in situations like this. "If you like you, then don't change. I like me, so I'm not changin'. It really doesn't matter what other people think. They can worry 'bout themselves." Of course, Lyrus could still hate anyone who deserved it. Like the twins and Lex. They really deserved it.

Yukito nodded, "Wow. Your pretty smart aren't you Lyrus?" He murmured. He quite like Lyrus, he was one of the smartest people ever! He wagged his long tail back and forth happily, he was quite enjoying talking to him too. He was learning so much.

"I like to think so," Lyrus chirped with a grin. Oh yes, Lyrus was smart for his age. It came from spending so much time with older siblings. The ones his age were boogers. Except Adroi, but he didn't count. One had to be smart to be the second-in-command of a Mafia. It was all good.

"From what I have learned there are two types of smart people the type of smart people like you that are cool about it and the ones that are uppity about it." He said tapping his chin then gave a nod. He was glad that Lyrus was of the former group, made him easier to talk too.

"I'm really not that smart." Lyrus shrugged, absently tapping his fingertips together, a habit he had developed from 'admiring' the scars. "I don't think so, anyway. I just say what I do, ya know? It's prob'ly wrong half the time. But I try to do right." He grinned sheepishly. "Most of the time, anyway."

Yukito smiled a bit then looked up at the clock and gave a sigh, "I have to get going towards home but I would like to talk to you again if thats cool with your." He said putting his book in the bag and pulled it onto his shoulder then got up to his good foot, luckily he would only have to bounce as far as the front porch as Jing was gonna come get him.

Lyrus frowned, then nodded slightly and slid off the couch. "Yeah... It was nice meeting you, even if I'm s'posed to hate you. See ya 'round!" He waved absently in goodbye, then walked over to where Isto was seated against the wall, plopping down beside him with a yawn. "Well that was fun."
