Molly's little outburst was so out of character for Rowling. Not for Molly, but for Rowling, definitely.

Fred's death was really abrupt. An awesome character like him should have had a more involved death scene. crying

Oh, one little thing I didn't get.
Do we ever learn why Lily married James? In the Snapememories all she ever talks about is how he's an enormous d**k.

omgtehsuiso Oh, one little thing I didn't get. Do we ever learn why Lily married James? In the Snapememories all she ever talks about is how he's an enormous d**k. Opposites attract? sweatdrop James clearly got less prattish at some point. Eventually. Even if Snape didn't see it that way because "James = assface" was burnt in his memory.

I guess.
In that vein, poor Snape got friend-zone'd. What a pity.

Hey, people change. Except I don't think James did, Lily just fell to his charms.
Yeah, the b***h thing was a little... off. I understand it in Molly's case but it seems so nonbritish. And all of Harry's BLIMEY and BLOKE. Until this book he seemed very, uh, nonbritish. xd He was just a dorky little kid.
Dyb -- it was more involved than the death of, say, Mad-Eye Moody. Or Lupin and Tonks, ********, why did they have to die -- at first I didn't even realize they did, it mentioned sleeping, but then it was like oh wow that's bad.
ALSO PERCY. Percy is my second-favorite weasley.

I think it's so that if she runs out of ideas and/or her next adventure into books doesn't sell, she has Teddy Lupin to fall back on as Harry 2.0. EDIT: Or because parentless kids is apparently a major motif in Harry Pottarz.

Percy... actually made a joke. I was stunned.
But then in the epilogue he was back to droning about boring things, so I guess he wasn't Confunded or something like that. rofl

Was it just me or was the plot (aside from Harry's fate) pretty much everything the fans predicted? Rowling threw in a few things to knock everyone off track, but..

Or like a Filch replacement, since no one liked him [and at least Perce is better looking, I guess]. I totally remember going oho, neville is gonna be a professor one day. I was like ahaha sweet. I really liked how Neville turned out in this book, though, like he sort of got over himself.

The kids' names made me want to vomit, however I generally thought the epilogue was sweet. Even if it was hokey.
Mostly I liked James being an a*****e to his wimpy little brother. xd

I like the references to the first book -- 'are you a wizard, or what' and lily whining about not being able to go. But seriously. Hugo? Hugo?

Two siblings, one a jerk and one a peacenik. rofl FROM NOW ON ALBUS SEVERUS HAS GREEN HAIR I DECLARE IT CANON scream
