hmmm... for us, probably the trumpets, the trombones, the saxophones (well, last year, anyway), and the percussion. we tubas talk a lot too, but we never get in trouble since we're invisible... ninja heh heh...

Trumpets for sure. And then the saxes. But the trumpets are the biggest problem. The clarinets and flutes are usually quiet and somewhat paying attention, but none of the trumpets are ever paying attention unless they get yelled at.

percussion talk the most because they dont get to play for most of the period. the rest of the band just has too many problems. so they sit in the back doing nothing but talking or destroying the equiptment.

I'd say the trumpets (my section.... rolleyes ) and the clarinets talk the most. We frequently get chewed out for talking.

Folken Lacour de Fanel flutes...they have all the air-heads in their section (atleast where i come from they do...) I agree. Its the same over here. And there is this one girl who plays the flute who never shuts-up! And when she sees something thats even the least bit challenging, she just sits back in her chair and doesn't play. I always wonder, "Why do you come to band if you hate it so much?!" scream Man, she ticks me off! If I had to pick a class that talks a lot, I'd have to pick the sophomores.

Trombones in my band. They dont ever shut up. Tubas too...Maybe its a low brass thing. I donno...I'm just a trumpet player. Haha, JUST a trumpet player. You don't hear that often do you? Anyway yeah, my section talks a lot too... But that's because we're often arguing with this one trumpet player who has a very severe case of ADHD...And he's really annoying. He 'can't help it' but seriously, he can control himself at least a little bit. I think he likes to tick me off... rolleyes

In my concert band everyone talks way to much. Percussion are the worse though, then clarinets, then the saxophones.
