All the signs have pointed toward stereotypical vampires, so I think you're wrong. It would be cool if you were right though.

But a question that is bothering me. According to Mother, Flarn never actually died. Does that make him any less of a vampire though? [NPC] alien_mothership Also, I would like to address your concerns regarding 09. Please rest assured that he is safe and in good hands. Currently, I am nursing him back to health. It was fortunate that we were able to recover 09 when we did. His health was rapidly deteriorating. He is doing fine now and well on his way to full recovery. So far I haven't seen anyone with bite marks? There is no information about what exactly they eat from what I have seen. Besides, with Flarn's odd metabolism the virus that turns a normal gaian into a tradional vampire could turn a Zurg into a psychic vampire. I don't think we should rule this theory out even if we do get proof they feed off blood.

You know how chocolate is toxic to dogs and delicious to us? Well, it could work like that and affect the bodies very differently.

Besides, as Vincente said before, the G-Virus doesn't automatically turn you into a zombie - it all depends with what you were fused at the moment of drinking it.
On the other side, I'm still saying that the original serum LabTech247 was making is finally done, and that that's what they gave Flarn... it would make sense - Mother wanted to heal his son (to regenerate his cells) and to make him live longer .

I do not believe that Gaia staff really planned that far ahead with this... and even if they did--for what purpose?
Also, what effect would this have had on Flarn?

I personally do not believe so. I use to think that the Gaia staff sat around, tossing a tennis ball around saying, "I'm thinking... aliens." And they would just do it. Yet, lately everything seems to be slowly pulled together. Ian's shooting relating more closely to Gambino's than we had once thought, Edmund's scar actually might have a story, and a few other things. I think the Gaia staff thinks farther ahead than we once thought. I don't particularity know whether or not I am for or against this theory, but there is something there. The aliens aren't gone for good, and I think it's only a matter of time before they come back.

True enough, but I doubt that the Aliens will tie into this plot much.
