Ulrich blinked and stared at the three who were approaching - particularly at the child Lore was carrying. He had no idea what everything meant, the vase, and everything - but when Serenity had come out saying something about an "Idhril" he had assumed something was wrong with the vase or something - especially since Elnara had run off so quickly.

That and Lore would come back with yet another child was ... beyond his comprehension.

"Where did she come from?" he asked, his tone completely bewildered.

"Ulrich," Lore replied softly coming up to him, "This is Idhril, she was born from the vase that Elnara brought. Perfect timing really," he smiled watching Idhril.

She looked tired he though, maybe it was tiring for them to be born.

Elnara laughed. "It's like a womb to them, yes," she nodded. "But I'm their mother."

Come to think of it, she was as much their mother as Lore was their father - considering that neither of them were related to any of the children biologically. It was interesting though how the twins had come out looking a bit like each of them, and Idhril - it had to be noted - looked a startling bit like Elnara herself, save the colour of her eyes and the length of her hair.

Ulrich was still shaking his head incredulously when the front door of the house opened and Ulani stepped out. Shorter than average elven height, she was nevertheless a figure whose presence called attention, if for no other reason than the fact that - even though she appeared to be half-asleep yet - she seemed to have a glow of happiness all about her.

"Ulrich?" she called out hesitantly, rubbing sleep from her eyes. "What ..."

She opened her eyes and blinked, staring at their guests. For several long moments, she was silent; then she laughed. "Well, I guess that explains the new vase in the living room."

Lore looked up from the little Second he was holding to see Ulani walking out. He sincerely hoped that they hadn't been making too much noise for her.

Lore smiled softly as he let loose one hand so he could shake her hand.

"A picture?" he asked curiousity, "It's good.. to see you too."

He didn't know what else to say, he was never been welcomed so much before like this, and Ulani wasn't as close or forward as some other people he had met.

Ulani shrugged. "Well, it was Skye's picture," she agreed, "and she did leave it behind."

She nodded at the child in Lore's arms. "I ... would guess that this is Serenity, but Kara said that Serenity was human ... and Elnara, your only other child is a boy, is that not right?"

Her expression was puzzled. "Or am I missing something?"
