Rivener had been about to sting when Dr K spoke up with that loud scary noise, causing him to startle and turn BOTH stingers on the Doctor by reflex, ready to attack if something was happening... But the Doctor was actually offering help instead! Riv lowered the stingers, looking over at Eiry and swallowing. "Well, some help is better than no help... R-right Eiry?" He still floated closer to his brother and carefully turned him, bringing a wing tip closer and stinging the base of the minty wing. "Here, this should dull the pain; bone re-placing always looks really painful in movies." He nodded as though he knew what he was talking about, and slipped an arm over Eiry. "I'll be here so you can hold onto me, ok?"

He then turned his gaze to Dr K and nodded. "Whenever Eiry's ready, I'll keep him steady for you."

The doctor was going to help? At first, Eiry thought that everything was going to be alright and there would be no pain involved, but when Rivener mentioned that bone re-placing looked really painful in movies, Eiry got a little apprehensive. He was about to say something when Rivener turned him around and stung the base of his ethereal wing, but the unexpected pinch of pain made him swallow his words. Perhaps there wouldn't be that much pain, but Rivener's poison could only move so fast. Eiry glanced over at the doctor and watched him ready himself, like a black mechanical panther rolling back its shoulders before the fatal pounce. Fortunately, Rivener slipped an arm around Eiry's shoulders and he felt somewhat safer with his brother's arm holding him close.

He glanced again at Dr. K, pulling the sides of his mouth into a frown before he nodded his readiness and turned, burying his face into Rivener's shoulder. "I'm ready," he muttered.

K hesitated a little as he approached the broken wing on the minty Frei's back. The wings looked like it was made out of ethereal fire. Moving closer, he observed the condition of the broken wing. It was twisted in a weird angle, which suggested that there might be broken bones or the bones simply got disjointed. Breathing loudly, he reached out to feel the bones at what seemed to be the part where it was twisted. K had half expected his hands to go through the ethereal wing, but miraculously his hands touched the wings. He pressed around on the wing, trying to make out the condition of the bone.

"Seems like... disjointed... bone..." He spoke as he moved his masked face closer to look better at the wing, his harsh breaths could be felt on Eiry's back. Then with a loud and painful CRACK, K relentlessly popped the joints back together. His hand moved towards the tip of the wing some more, trying to feel if there are anymore broken bones or disjointed joints, but that seems to be it.

Rummaging in his briefcase, he dug out a long straight wooden ruler, stained with some unknown dark red brown substance like the rest of the items in the briefcase. Straightening out Eiry's wing recklessly, he placed the ruler along Eiry's wing's bone and began to wrap them together with the roll of bandages he used on Rivener. The ethereal fire-like feathers seemed to be smothered out as he covered the wing up in bandages.

"This... should be alright..." he spoke as he finished treating Eiry's wings. "I don't know... if there's... cracked bones... so leave it like that... for 2 weeks." he instructed as he turned from Eiry to Rivener. "Now... for blood transfer..." yes, the main reason why he is here tonight. He pulled out the W-shaped blood transfusion device use on Rivener before and a small glass bottle that looked new for a change. "I got anesthetics... this time..." He cracked into a smile, but too bad it was hidden underneath the gas mask... or is it a good thing?

Rivener grimaced and held onto his little brother as those horrible sounds came out of the minty Frei's wing. That couldn't possibly not hurt, even with all the drugs Riv had injected. Wincing in pain for poor Eiry, Riv could do nothing but hold on while the doctor man-handled the wounded appendage. At least he knew what he was doing, Riv thought.

"Are you alright?" he asked his brother once Dr K was done wrapping the wing. He pushed the boy at arm's length to look at his face. "Are you okay to continue? If you can't, it's okay." He knew that most likely took a lot out of the younger Raevan, and he might need to feed. He might be too weak for a blood transfusion.

Rivener certainly wouldn't like to send Dr K away after making him come here for the transfusion, but Eiry's health came first. "Eat the floor, or the walls... Even if it grows back, I'll tell them I forced you to do it. You should really eat something before we do that," he motioned towards the strange "W", and tried to ignore Dr K's questionable humor. K creeped him out a lot already, finding out that he sometimes felt like making jokes was somehow very disturbing.

When the man's hands first grasped around his ethereal fiery wings, Eiry felt a shiver slide up his spine. He only had the time to grip his fingers tight into Rivener's clothes until the shadowy doctor gave a quick snap to his wings like a person trying to snap a glow stick to life. Snapping straight and quick like a bolt of lightning, the minty frei stiffened his body and threw his head back, teeth gritted tight with eyes closed as tightly as a shell. Eiry tried to swallow the subsequent scream and it caught in his throat as he gasped at the same time. That didn't stop the young frei, though, from making an agonized sound deep in the bowels of his throat, a half-scream half-growl. It was after the initial break and replacement of the bone did Eiry let himself float limply like a leaf in a puddle of water and he gave a few short sobs. The glow from his fiery wing eventually was snuffed out as Dr.K bandaged it and straightened it out with a ruler.

When Rivener began to talk and he pushed him away to observe him at an arm's leg, Eiry came back to life slowly, like a toy that had lost its wind, and he tilted an ear to listen. Blinking ghostly tears that rose underneath his blood red eyes, Eiry nodded slowly to his brother's suggestion. He knew that they had to continue now, they had to do the blood transfusion and to do that Eiry would need more energy. He needed to feed. Glancing around and wiping his teary eyes, Eiry spotted a wooden coat rack just a couple feet away next to the entrance of the corridor. It was unused...So Isi and Aphi probably won't miss it, right? Eiry slightly tugged his brother in the direction he wanted to go. As soon as he was an arm's length away, the minty raevan extended his arm and gave a shaky sigh. It looked like it took a bit of his energy to get this energy, for Eiry struggled a moment before the wood of the coat rack cracked and began to deform. Twisting about itself like a dancer, the wood expanded until a decent trunk, just thick enough to wrap one's arms around it, replaced the thin coat rack. The coat rack's legs trembled and snaked to life, but, also like snakes, they slithered along the wood floor and dug their way down through the house into the moist dirt below. Like tired arms, the coat rack's hangers stretched and elbowed into the ceiling whilst green leaves sprouted like wiggling fingers. Breathing tiredly, Eiry turned back to his tear-stained cheeks back to his Rivener. There was more color in his dead looking skin, Eiry certainly looked more awake and his blood red eyes looked as bright as an autumn sunset.

"That tasted weird," Eiry said between hiccups, reaching up to wipe at his eyes. It was obvious that his wing was still a great pain to him, but he didn't look like he was about to collapse anymore, "Okay...We can start now...I'm okay."

K stared impressively at what's happening before him - the sight of the coat rack deformed into a tree. He had never seen such a thing happened before in his life. These Raevans sure are interesting... K thought as he move his gaze from the tree to Eiry, staring at him with an odd twinkle in his eyes, which somehow reflected on the glasses of the gas mask too.

Maybe he should propose a partnership with Kyou, even if it's just to learn more about the Raevans. It's odd, he never had so much interest in living things before. And he'd imagine that Kyou would much prefer his 'specimens' to remain alive.

He gave Eiry a loud grunt and nod of approval and motioned him on the couch as he sat down as well. Pulling out the ever familiar W-shaped blood transfusion device, he rubbed some antiseptic on Eiry's arm before poking the needle through the ghostly skin, neatly into a vein with great accuracy. Next, he just needed to hook the other end to Rivener's arm. With a wave of his hand he motioned Rivener to come nearer as the device isn't very long at all. Doing the same thing to Rivener's arm, he inserted in the needle as well and waited for the device to do it's job.

Rivener floated closer and winced as the needle entered his arm. It stung a bit. Is that what it felt like when he used his stingers on someone, he wondered? At least Eiry would be used to the prickly sensation.

Riv sat on the couch next to Eiry, and reached out to hold his brother's other hand, the one not serving as a blood connector. He smiled at Eiry, a new kind of smile, a completely accepting, private smile just for his brother. "We're the same person right now," he whispered, as though it was a great Universe Secret. He could already feel something happening inside himself, as his "stars", in his very core, took on a very green tinge, and began to flicker like little ghost fires.

Riv felt lighter, less solid. Is this how Eiry feels all the time? Is this how he can go through things whenever he wants? It was making the Scorpion a little light-headed...

Eiry hardly twitched at the pricking of the needle, but he did show some amount of fear at the sight of the strange 'w'-shaped tool. He gave it a weary gaze, as if expecting it to writhe and transform into some horrible worm-like monster. Knitting his brows, he inspected it as it stuck to his arm and then he followed it to Riv's arm.

As Riv's hand held his, Eiry shuddered and let his shoulders slump, "Same," he echoed softly. Deep within his blood he felt a change happening. He wasn't sure what it was but he felt heavier and thicker. There was something else there, but Eiry wasn't sure what it was. Eiry brought his eyes up to Riv's and watched with a reflective flickering gaze as Riv's eyes drooped with weariness.

"Riv?" Eiry echoed, then he turned to Dr.K, trying to keep his tired eyes open, "Mister K? Why is my brother...?"

Almost immediately, K pressed a soft wet cotton over Eiry's needle punctured skin as he pulled out the needle. He was observing their expressions closely and noticed a little change in Rivener's. Taking it as the cue to pull out the needle, as Rivener probably have enough to gain his new powers. Although the amount of blood transferred is still not as much as Lazarus gave him last time, but it should be enough.

Pressing another cotton on Rivener's needle wound, he pulled the needle out neatly as well. "How... do you feel..?" he asked Rivener, more out of curiosity than concern.

Rivener could see Eiry was getting worried. "I'm fine, brother," he reassured. "I just feel weird because it's all new inside."

Rivener blinked. "I feel... tired. Light-headed. And I can... feel things. I can feel ghosts around!" His eyes widened with realization as he suddenly understood what the weird feelings were. He glanced at his brother with growing understanding. "I know how you are, now." He grinned. "I know you."

He turned to the doctor. "Thank you," he said. "Erm... Can we keep this secret? I don't want my guardian or Eiry's knowing that we did this, and maybe it wouldn't be good to tell Dr Kyou either." Riv lowered his eyes, uncomfortable to look into those glassy dark goggles. Instead he reached over and wrapped an arm around Eiry's shoulders.

Eiry stretched a tired smile onto his face and he nodded. He too felt the sudden desire to go outside and stare at the sky that held captive millions of tiny fireflies in its black velvet. It felt weird...As if he were a glass of water that had blocks of ice within it. He was the water and the blocks of ice were pressing down on him, trying to invade his space. He had to warp around it to feel at all himself, but he still felt different, changed, heavy. All of his ghost senses and abilities were running into this strange new feeling and it made Eiry groggy.

"I can kind of feel how you are, too, brother," Eiry said to Rivener as an arm was draped around his shoulders. Taking the invitation, he leaned forward and rested on Riv's shoulder. He was tired, hungry, and all he wanted to do was sleep and eat.

"They'll be mad if they find out," Eiry echoed, "They'll be scared. Heart-promise, Mister K?"
