Ronin and the Gargant team up on the first zombie, dropping it even though it tried to protect itself with a Defensive Hold.
Bellamin and Kitai team up on the second zombie hulk, who likewise defends himself with defensive hold and his combat die to resist 10 damage over the course of the round. Bellamin hits him for 14 damage and Kitai hits for 7, and the zombie hulk ends the round still standing with 5 life.
Bellamin is healed by Gonzu, bringing him to 15 life.
I'm going to hand-wave the last round. He's smoked, and nobody would need to spend any AP or MP to guarantee him going down without you taking damage.
You end the combat like so:
Bellamin: 15/20, 2 AP, 3 MP. Ronin: 29/35, 4 AP, 5 MP. Gonzu: 15/15, 5 AP, 3 MP. Kitai: 20/20, 3 AP, 3 MP.
Party pool: 5 AP, 5 MP.
Exploring the room, you find three actions ready to use, placed on an altar. The actions are Burn Out, Mana Block, and Plink.
Mana Block (1 AP) Eliminate (rather than prevent the casting of) the spell of one opponent with a Magic score lower than yours. Counts as a stun effect.
Plink (1 AP) Target counts as being attacked once for purposes of being held off.

((Holy makers of doggy kibble!))
"Burnout does special equal to an ammount of Hp you sacrifice, and you can only sacrifice Hp that wasn't gained by regeneration or healing. Any Hp you lost during the turn comes out of your Burnout attack too."
Bellamin said almost automatically. he gave a heavy sigh, "By the way," he continued, "Thanks for the heal."
"Hmmm... I'll take Burnout, but if someone else wants it, I'll take Manablock, and iff someone else wants that, I'll thank Plink, and if everyone has someting... I can make do with later loot!" The spellsword gave a smile as he glanced from the three actions, to the end of the corridor.

"you can have them, i'm good right at the moment" ronin said to Bellamin and then looked at him and then back to the wall at which he had just started to stare at.
((whats up with the 'holy makers of doggy kibble!' ?))

"You know what actually? I'm fine with Mana block... I got an idea that beats Burnout..." Bellamin's smile became slightly more of a smirk.
"We can split these after. Burnout can be a pretty good choice for Kitai due to her defense." He turned to face her. "You want it? I'm happy with this" Bellamin pointed towards Mana block.
((Just thought of the effects on the PvP circuit with two people with Burnout. I figured a way to give myself basically a burnout attack. >=3))

Just for the curious, the correct Burn Out text from the Special Actions thread in the System Rules subforum:
Burn Out (1 AP) For every 1 life you tribute you deal 2 damage to target opponent. You may not tribute life you no longer have from being damaged this turn, or from life you will heal at the end of the turn. You may only tribute out as many points of Life as your current Attack score.

((We'll divide up the loot later, or if anyone absolutely needs to use it during the dungeon, we can give it to them then. I was going to claim Burnout but then I realized I have a very low attack score. And I'm pretty sure Gonzu will want to lay claim to Mana block. I'm pretty sure he has the highest Magic score of everyone in the RPS guild.))

((Well, Burnout has nothing to do with attack points, and with your high defense, you could dish out pretty lethal damage and still be pretty empenetrable. Well, he can have it, All I really want is some chips, and the CP, unless I can find something uber useful...))
Bellamin peered out through the door in which they entered, staring at the other stone wall. "Hey, if that door will have magic casters, couldn't we use that manablock, Burnout, and Plink to take them down?" He asked. "The only undead casters I know of are undead magi, and liches."
The spellsword used a well place kick to knock one of the corpses into the corridor in which the party came. He made muffled sound of disgust.
"Always hated the smell..."

Grand_Commander13 You may only tribute out as many points of Life as your current Attack score. ((That's why. So I could only tribute two points, so I would do 4 damage with burnout.))

((Checking in for the first time in a long time OMGWTFBBQ?))
Gonzu leaps onto the altar and snatches up the Mana Block. He hisses and cuddles the scroll. "Mine! You can't have it! It's mine!" Pulling himself together he straightens up and tucks the scroll into his robe. ahem "Well then, with this new Mana block I believe I will be able to stop any exceptionally dangerous spells. Shall we tackle the other door now?"

((oh, So that was the change they were talking about... WOOT! So my slightly worse burnout-clone-idea is worth it! And it's been under my nose for a long time!))
"I guess I'm temporarily holding on to them..." He grabbed the two scrolls and gingerly placed them into a small pocket in which usually placed all his usused equipmet in, but since they weighted him down, they just shared the space with a crumpled up piece of paper...
With a groan he placed a few kicks, sending the cadaver back into the room, before standing outside the door; sword pointed at an angle to the ground, his left hand placed over the pouch just in case.
((Well, then can I hold onto Burnout for now?)) ((And I dont think so, but I think you can distribute healing potions out of battle))
