hypnocrown Oh yeah! I've only seen a movie about that but I've never read any books about it. lol ive never seen the movie but i read some books about it and there's also a fantasy series called huntik that is based around most of the legends and myths on this thread

Isn't it odd how I've seen a movie and never read books while you have read at least one book but have never seen a movie about Jason and the Golden Fleece? Oh boy... rolleyes

There are no legends or myths where i live. execpt some old ghost stories. Personally through im into myths of the old - Eygpt, Greeks, and The Vikings.
Thoses people back then didnt know how the world works. So they created theses beautiful so they could undstand why there was normal things that we take for granted. like the weather, animals, water, food, evil, good and the four elements. and not al theses stories suvive four thousand of years. the people put theses stoires in temps that were so well build some still stand today.
i just think that is amazing heart smile

It's easy for me to send you links to the movie on youtube but the books, now that's a different matter wouldn't you say? I bet there might be some info on wikipedia but... I don't know.

Around here, we only have the Native American myths. Other than that, I am big into Egyptian mythology. The two big legends here are Legend of the Bluebonnet and Legend of the Indian Paintbrush, and both have been made into children's picture books. I tend to like the others though. It might be the fact that I've read both books endlessly though...
