Yer certainly welcome. I'm glad I can still keep up with my duties here on the guild and since this is my contest I have to maintain it as well as I can. That includes doing some "chasing" or whatever. I'm glad to see you active again even though you have other things to worry about.
And btw, I think yer user name is fantastic so I'm gonna edit my post so that you'll officially qualify for the contest. 3nodding
C'mon everyone! We still need 2 more active members for this.

Great! I knew you would understand why I did what I did on the contest. I also didn't want to seem like the whole thing was rigged somehow if you won.
Like I said on the crew workers diary thread, next month, I'm gonna see about giving away a "thank you letter". I'm hoping that this will promote guild activity a bit more than some cash shop items. rolleyes

Thanks Hypno! (& lucky I saw it was you who sent that PM, I usually ignore things that say "urgent", assuming they are a scam.)
Anyways... Gornwen is how I translated my name, Valerie, into Sandarin. Gorn being for valor and wen for female. (Aragorn means noble valor, if I recall correctly.) I prefer going with the meaning of "valor" over "strength" for my name, in part because I am a bit of a weakly and in part because valor is a prettier word.
Yes, I was in the height of my Tolkien kick at the time.

2. Gornwen comes in second with 43 posts.
3. Leihiar comes in third with 33 posts.
4. Amaeli comes in fourth with 23 posts.
Too bad nobody else got into the spirit of things but it was just enough to make the contest interesting. I also checked out their post to make sure that at least most of them were good posts (that's right, no spam).

Gosh, I've been using this username since I was in the 7th grade (which was...oh god... thirteen years ago...). I can't actually remember why I chose it or if I just plain liked it or what.
Berserkers were Norse warriors who fought in a raging trance until either they were killed or all of their enemies were. There are a number of theories as to why this came about ranging from possession by animal spirits to hallucinogenic mushrooms, but little evidence for any one theory to be taken over another.
When I chose my username, someone already had both "Berserker" and "Berzerker," so I had to add something to the name. I don't like numbers at the end of my name, but for some reason "prime" made me happy.
That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

All right! It's finally February so it's time for the next contest. For this month, I managed to secure a couple of items that might make things a bit more interesting. Does a Fausto's Bottle sound good to you? If it does, you should keep reading in case you want to win it. There's really only one major rule for entering and it's quite simple:
You see, the only "real" catch is this:
* members have to be active in order to qualify for the prizes (first & second). And by this I mean that I'll be looking at the members list and if their post count doesn't increase by at least 15 posts (it doesn't matter whether you can come every day or not, just as long as you accumulate 15 additional posts) before February 28th; or they shall be disqualified. But that's not all, I'll also be looking at their recent posts to make sure they're not just "bumping" to make their count rise the "easy" way. You guys have to make quality posts as well or that's grounds for immediate disqualification right there. Note that if you do not want to be disqualified, you should not change your user name. If you DO change it though, you should at least let me know via PM before February 20th so we can work something out. Otherwise, I'm just gonna disqualify you.
So, if the members (Sorry that I am not including crew members yet again) who are on this list keep their post count as it is, they will not qualify for any of the prizes and will be removed from the list before the announcement of the winners. The members list and their post count is as follows:

Fauxlorne won't be participating in this one as she won first prize on the last one. If she wants to be included on this contest however, she should donate at least 750 gold to the guild (it's not that much gold considering that the Fausto's bottle costs 499 Gaia Cash)
So remember, any members with low post counts will not be on the official list I will post sometime after February 15th so, start posting! And make sure to follow the rule I posted above, ok? Thank you! Make sure to look for the list of prizes available as well on that post of mine.
I shall be coming back each Friday to check on your post count but, I'll be checking each day (except on weekends) if yer recent posts are not spam or bumps.
On page 4 of this thread, I made a list of members who I couldn't find on the members list. Since I never heard back from them, I'm just going to assume that they have left the guild and are not interested in participating.

Thank you so much, hypnocrown. whee My mom finally had her port-o-cath removed this past Thursday since she no longer needs it for her chemotherapy treatments anymore. So, hopefully I will be able to make a better showing in this month's contest, although I seriously doubt I am going to even come close to being the Grand Prize Winner. 3nodding
