*didn't read the others but I don't care* :p
I was not shocked but I was very happy. I figured it was the Master during the episode The Lazarus Experiment(IE Saxon Martha's mother that he knew things about the Doctor) told but for any Who fan it was either him or the Rani but I'm glad it's the Master over the Rani ^_^

Why couldn't Derek Jacobi stay the Master? I loved him. LOVED HIM.
Also killing the bug lady seemed needless. I would have liked it better if she had become an alternate evil companion who adored the Master and followed him even though she knew he was evil. It would have contrasted nicely with Martha who does the same with the Doctor.
But YES, I did enjoy the episode. It was quite good.
Seriously though, Derek Jacobi as the Master would have rocked. I miss him already.

God, after all that 'chan' and 'tho' crap, I was about ready to kill the bug lady myself. I'm glad she's dead.
But, yeah, Jacobi's Master was good (even if it only lasted for about 5 minutes or so). Whereas the new new Master is a bit too loony for me, though I'm hoping that's just post-regeneration psychosis and he'll settle down soon. Maybe they could have the Ainley, Roberts, Jacobi and Simm Masters all team up in a story called 'The Four Masters'. xd

Hairy Priest Maybe they could have the Ainley, Roberts, Jacobi and Simm Masters all team up in a story called 'The Four Masters'. xd Hate to tell you this, but that would be impossible. Anthony Ainley died in 2004.

Hairy Priest God, after all that 'chan' and 'tho' crap, I was about ready to kill the bug lady myself. I'm glad she's dead. If she'd carried on like that I'd agree with you. But what I liked about her is that she showed immediate development, she started trying to kick that habit as soon as she was encouraged too. That and she was shy - unlike Rose/Martha - and her feelings for the Professor were kept hidden and subtle... well, except when she was talking about them with Martha. Martha's always so obvious about her feelings. I also would have just loved a mirror relationship, as I said. Master&Bug vs Doctor&Martha. Each sort of evolving down different paths. In fact a fight between Martha and Buglady where those mandibles start coming in useful... endless entertainment value. AND Buglady would be an alien companion! Anyway, doesn't matter now since it didn't happen... *sigh* If only...

2) Captain Jack
3) A planet that isn't Earth for a nice smegging change!
That there is the formula for a great episode, and a great episode it was. Can't wait for next week tho.

I thought it was pretty average to start off with, good and 'eh' bits, but seriously, I mean, i was spoilered about the Master but hearing it and actually seeing it are two completely different things!!!!  AhhhHH!!! Awesome! what's going to happen? HE STOLE THE DOCTORS FREAKING TARDIS!! I didn't like the watch thing though, but I guess they had to add it in there to make it obvious to people who haven't seen the older series that the Master is a time lord. And god, did they make it obvious... they literally spelled it out. YANA... ... ... Anyhoo, I liked it anyway. The master seems to look a lot less... evil, but we've hardly seen anything of him yet, so ... yeah. It was cool!

Don't worry you all. He'll find someone to tag along and adore him. Even *ahem* (bells in back ground.) It's amazing on how you all have the Utopia thing up when on Sci-fi *my Dr. Who source* is only up to Blink. Oh, in speaking of Simm's Master being Loony. Watch this thing all the way through. Wow, great episode. I'd never actually seen an ep with Jack before, only read a bit about him so I thought Utopia showed his character nicely for us newbs. Is it just me or was the Doctor pretty pissed off whenever Jack was around? Until he got to the human base/spaceship place the Doctor was being sorta moody. The suspence is killing me!!!! And that ending was terribly suspenceful, but just wait till next episode! A 3 parter, if I don't explode from waiting a whole 2 weeks for it to be concluded then it will be some sort of miracle!

I loved the episode, especially the begging with Jack riding the TARDIS, that was so great. I loved how Jack knew it was the Doctor after his regeneration.
I feel so sorry for Martha though, everywhere she turns she is slapped in the face with the memory of Rose.

Oh I thought it was freaking brilliant, although Jack was kinda cheesy hanging onto the TARDIS and all.. but the running "Hello.." "Don't start." jokes were really funny. So much reminisce to Nine and Jack... *sigh*
Jack seems to get along a bit better with Ten.. David's finally got someone nearly the same height as him for once! xd
The whole "Master is returning" thing was pretty much spoiled for me, plus it was pretty obvious once you saw Saxon going obsessive over info on the Doctor... but the watch twist was great, and the fact that I knew who Derek Jacobi was after I saw his face in the previews.... *sigh*
The YANA thing was kinda interesting I suppose..although I'd prefer that they hadn't just gone and spelled it out like that..
As for Saxon/Master.....he's almost annoying, although I've only seen that little bit. He's more hyper than Ten! ><;
And is it me or does Barrowman look different?? I think his hair is shorter or something.......his face just looked different from both Torchwood and with Nine.
And the Master stole the Doctors' TARDIS!!!!!! NO!
Poor Doctor hasn't had that happen in ages... and I feel really sorry for Martha. She's slowly getting that the Doctor has had quite a life before she met him. And how many other people he's known first........
And now I'm ranting. I'll go hush. xp

It was a good episode in a packet of three if ya know what I mean.
It made a good intro into the entire 'New master arch'
I liked how they made the Doctor admire The Master/Yana before finding out who he was. The master and doctor are each other's nemisis and are on nearly the same as far as intellgince goes.
Kinda sad that The Master's crazy though. It seems if he wasn't then he and the Doctor would get along marvelously. Especaily since The New Master and the New/10th Doctor are so much alike

I hate 2 part episodes.
but other then that it was great. It made me miss rose. Jack was great and crazyness and the Doctor was well very Doctor like. yay the Doctor
