He didn't particularly like the idea of History classes, regardless of the topic and as for Astronomy...he felt they were better for looking pretty than knowing about. "We both have history of Tethe'alla," Jewls said "I've never studied the history of any one much outside my own little country, so it's kind of interesting to see what oter people do and different ways to life. I also have Runes though and I don't find tat very interesting. What do you like to do for fun?"

Kaya grew quiet for a moment. It was one of those rare times when Kaya and Gormach conversed with one another in the quiet of their own mind.
"You can't tell him you've forgotten what fun really is."
~What else can I say?~
"Tell him what I like to do, make those the things you like for a while."
~But that's lieing.~
"Would rather lose the chance to make a proper friend to pity?"
~No! I'll do it...but you'll have to tell me what they are.~
"Very well."
For a about 15 seconds, Kaya was quiet, seeming as if he was thinking before he finally spoke, his voice holding the same dull tone as usual. "They aren't thought of as 'fun' by everyone but the things I like to do are reading, and writing. I like to use my magic to entertain people, though it's rare to find someone who'll stay a friend long enough. And I like swimming." he explained them, his voice seeming a bit more energetic and he even let slip an almost invisible smile as he spoke of writing and swimming.

"i like reading and writing, and singing. I have violin too. Swimming is usually something I only do when I can't find a way around something wet. What's your favorite book? Would you, like, maybe like to get some dinner together? I mean, if you don't already have plans."

Higashi Umi Lunar Yue Yue sighed a million times through his class. He looked out the window with his face sqished against his hand. He wanted to swim. Yue's eyes started to close and his mind drifted to the cool water against his face. He grinned. *Smack!* His teacher had caught him drifting off and smacked his hand with a ruler for doing so. Yue shook his hand and scowled. Just then the bell rang and his class was finally over. The pool. That was his first thought, and so he headed back to the pool. He figured that he liked the pool so much because it has always been his place to escape, his place where he could be himself. He was supposed to be cheery and hyper all the time, well that's what everyone said to him, but really he enjoyed just being calm and letting life happen on it's own. Yue sighed again as he opened the door that lead to the pool. He dropped his back and pulled off his shirt, but just as he was going to jump in he saw someone else. "Oh...hello." His voice was upbeat with a hint of suprise. "Mind If i join you?" "Ah," Max looked up at the new stranger "Sure, need to cool my head from all the school work, you know?" He grinned a bit, looking back into the pool. The blood was gone, it was just a vision, that's all. Max took off his shirt, and his pants revealing shorts underneath. He backed up a bit, and quickly, but with grace, dived into the deep end of the pool. Water crashed against his ears, and soon, it was silent. He swam back to the surface, letting out his breath. He shook his long jaw-length hair, and moved his bangs from his eyes. "Water's fine really." Max said. Yue grinned. If he thought it once he thought it a million times: He loves the water. He followed Max's actions by removing most his clothes. He too dove and slid gracefully into the water. A sigh of relief escaped his mouth. He closed his eyes and spoke, "To me...water heals..." Yue shook his head and opened his eyes. "Heh sorry I kinda...babble sometimes." He itched the back of his neck nervously, but smiled in an attempt to hide it. "So you come here to the pool often?" -Wow what a great thing to say...- He scolded himself.

The water... Heals? "Yeah, I come here to cool my head." Max sighed, floating stomach up, looking up at the sky. He wondered how vast it could be, and how small he was in comparison. These thoughts, frightened him. He gave no sign of fear however, he simply floated. He wondered, why water has no form, and came to the conclusion that it was a question not meant to be answered. "What's your name again?" He asked.

I'm told that there's magic in words. I've always liked them, but I didn't even believe in magic until I got here. Funny, uh?" Jewls was very happy to be talking to someone, having someone to eat dinner with. He was just too prone to being solitary and it really wasn't all that much fun. He pulled his pocket watch out and checked the time. "Do you have a lot more homework to do?"

" My favorite story by Poe is The Raven." Kaya said. "I've always thought that there was something buried under all of the dismal horror of it, like mourning over his lost lover in the only way he knew how." Kaya sighed at that point, a dreamy look in his eyes. "I just wish I knew what it felt like to be in love. There's never been anyone that piqued my interest." he commented off-handedly. He snapped out of his daydreaming in time to hear Jewls ask about his homework and checked his planner, which he produced from his pocket. "No, I've only got one assignment and it can wait til later." he said, refering to the assignment he'd gotten in CSC to write his own spell that best accented not only his powers but was a display of his name or his magical flair as well.
He already had a part of it and he decided to test it on Jewls. "Black as night, bright as day. Neon lights join the fray. Raven wings of midnight blue and Caia resting upon it's crown, a golden hue." he said in a whisper. A small midnight blue raven rose up from the center of his table with a golden colored tiara resting on it's head. It kawed a time or two then flew around Kaya's head before it exploded into a sparkling powder and then faded away. Kaya looked to Jewls with a pleading look in his eyes. "Was it any good? Be honest." he said quietly. He was sorely afraid that it wasn't good enough.
((In the language of Kaya's people, Caia is a word that refers to a unisex tiara worn by Princes and Princesses alike before they are crowned King or Queen.))

Yue, who was now floating on his back as well, turned his head to face the boy. "Yue...it's chinese for moon..." He had a soft smile on his face as he turned to gaze once again at the sky.
Yue took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, but then he tryed to sit up fast, yet he failed as he was in water. After he came back up above the surface he grinned. "I forgot to ask your name." His arms moved slowly from side to side in the water keeping him afloat.
His body always felt better in the water, he never got the headachs here. His physical state seemed to be...fine. Yue thought that must be wny the water attracts him so, even when he was a young child. His mother would go searching for him and find him down the street in someone elses yard, because thier sprinklers were on. The memory made him chuckle.

I wish I could do that! Will you help me?" Jewls smiled hopefully, wishing he could come up with some brilliant bit of poetry to share to impress Kaya that way, but he really just wanted to see the raven again. "That was so pretty! Can you do it again? It doesn't take too much strength, does it?"

"No not really." Kaya said as he considers the truth of Jewls words. The bewilderment in the other boys eyes though pressed that he truely meant each word he'd spoken. "If you like it so muc, then let it be a reminder of me." he said as he lighty placed his right index finger on Jewls forehead. "May the raven of the midnight lights be with you always. Caia upon it's crown to remind you of Prince Rayvn." Kaya said, the last word being his own last name, though in that simple spell he had somehow remembered his legacy as a prince, though he didn't realize it.
"Now you can have the raven visit you whenever you desire it to and it can carry messages to m for you if you like." he said with one of his almost invisible smiles. It felt good to have someone appreciate his spell.

After a few moments of waiting for Max to resurface he dove under himself.
Pity though he couldn't talk under water, so he broke the surface again and waited for Max. Treading the water as easily as a frog.

Completely unselfconscious, he clasped both hands, violet eyes wide. "But it's so lovely! I will make you something to. I'll write you some poetry. Please, will that be okay? I can't make you a beautiful creature of light to bring you messages, or at least I don't think I can. I'll try, okay?" Jewls knew he was being slow and shy and awkward and everything he didn't want to be, but he watched Kaya with unguarded violet eyes for any sign.

He looked at the human boy, realizing that humans could only use magic through stones that were lethal to Karmics. "You like magic?"
