Tartara

He nodded and shifted the male slightly so his weight was supported with one arm, reaching up with the other to gently brush a bit of soft hair off of the childs face. "Yeah, I think I could do that for you." Tristen smiled back warmly. "Promise." And with that Erylia fell asleep. Stupid pae...

Hyancinthus' smile reflected the unadulterated love and trust he had for the man that he barely knew. The little boy reached up to cling Tristen's neck tightly. "Um...I'm done eating." His eyes asked Tristen if he'd talk to the boy's parents soon if not now. It seemed that important.

He blinked at the boy before realizing what he was getting at. Tristen smiled again and nodded. "Alright, let me just drop off goldylocks to mom." And with that he scooped Erylia up in his free arm with a soft grunt. He could see how raken at least would get cranky at always babysitting pae.

Hyacinthus sighed in content, nestled happily against the man's breast while he carried the little girl. Tristen felt like a warm security blanket. This was flickers of what might come later on for the young boy. Older men gave him comfort, and there was a chance that he'd one day chase unavailable fathers. There was no way to tell that for now. In the moment, he was just happy with what he had.

Tristen walked out of the kitchen and down the hallway, craddling the two children. It really made him miss it when Adora and Merion were that age. Maybe he could convince sunny to...nah. He hardly saw her anymore. The Love Fae stopped infront of Tartara's room and gently pushed open the door with a foot. "Oh mother dearest..." The half nymph was instantly awake, dark emerald eyes glowing as she instinctually reached for a forest that wasn't there. Quickly they dimmed and she sat up with a sigh. "Tris, you know not to startle me like that, I-" Tartara blinked at the children in his arms. "Huh?"

The guardian suddenly intrigued him, but he remember what his mother had told him. Shouldn't judge things from the way they look. Well...she was Tristen's mother so she must be safe like him. Still, he preferred the man hold him. Hyacinthus didn't mind that he lacked fleshy pillows on his chest; in fact, he was trying to decide whether or not he liked it better. He'd have to decide at another time. The pae boy waved at the guardan with a shy smile in an effort to be polite.

"Sorry ma..." He smiled apologetically. "Forgot. But I brought sis in for a nap with you." Tristen walked over to his mother and gently set erylia onto a pillow. "Ma, this is Hyacinthus. Sir Hyacinthus, this is-" "tartara." She smiled, quickly getting over her startlement. "knowing my son he'd probably introduce me as 'my mother'." Tartara lightly chuckled, looking at her second to youngest as she sleepily woke up and scootched down to curl up next to zana, promptly falling back asleep.

"Hi," he replied, wondering if he should offer his hand the way he had seen adults do it. "I think that you look prettier than my mommy." His smile strengthened with the hope that she'd take his comment as a compliment.

She blinked at him blankly before slowly laughing. Softly, so to not wake up the toddler and child, but laughing. "Why thank you." Tartara looked at Tristen. "Oh where did you find such an adorable child?" He shrugged. "On my way to HQ." Tristen flashed a smiled at the pink boy in his arms. "Now we should go before you romance my mother away."

"Bye bye, Ms. Tartara," he said, waving to her. "I think that your mommy is nice." He smiled and cuddled close to Tristen. "She's nice like you."

He smiled and nodded, walking out of the room. "She's connected to over a dozen pae in some way. And of course, none of us are biological to her." Other arm now free, he wrapped it around the boy for an added support as he started back down to where he remembered seeing the childs mother.

Like many children, he only responded to the statement that made complete sense. "So you have a dozen brothers and sisters?" he asked, gasping in amazement. "That's a lot!"

OOC: oh gods, he might...

BIC: He blinked before chuckling. "Oh no no no, that's not what I meant. You see...Wait...There is Raken, Dameon, Amara, Dayht, Niday, yuki, malloren, erylia and zana...aw, no. I only have 9 brothers and sisters. Need 3 more." Tristen shook his head mirthfully. "But you see, I have two children which makes mom a grandmother and dameon has three children, one of which has just had two more children and raken has just had 2 daughters. So, instead of my 9 brothers and sisters, tartara is connected to at the very least...hmmm...19 pae by family ties. Not including the pae's mates or their families."

He gaped in astonishmet. "Wow...." He could hardly imagine having no more than three brothers or sisters. Where his parents lived was a fairly small apartment so more people would make it crowded very quickly. "Where did all of your brothers and sisters come from?"

"Hmmm...baskets. Every one of my siblings came from baskets...well, except raken that was found in a red package when my mother arrived on the island. The gaurdians assigned them to my mom and then left them in baskets infront of her doorstep. She takes the baby, leaves the basket and in the morning it's gone again." Quite a fascinating process really. Raken had researched it then abandoned it when satisfied by the answers, but he always thought it odd. Why Tartara? Why baskets of all things?
