So, without consulting the group, she opened ********. This blows. Skip, the item's for you, I guess..."
It was a large oaken rod tipped with an amber crystal, the gem witholding a smaller, red orb....It seemed right up his alley.
<>
The plasma seemed to glow...it was trying to identify the object...but couldn't. You would have to take it to someone who knew how to appraise rare items...but it looked better than the dagger, at least. It would probably take up both hands, too.
Emerald was pissed that it wouldn't suit her.
"Skip, come get your crap rod!"

Skip approached Emerald, abandoned his dagger, and took the weapon in his hands. It definitely felt right for him. He looked it over. It was shiny. And... neat. He gave it a few tentative swings, and grinned at the amount control he had over it. If Skip ever decided to use magic, then boy oh boy, would this thing come in handy.

Emerald gave him a big fake grin, then sighed and looked around, hands on hips. Oh, those hips...
Those hips...
They did not lie-OH DEAR GOD WHAT WAS HE THINKING!?
Ew.
So...........
She spoke up.
"So. Which way, birthday boy? Ugh. You're so ******** lucky."
There was left...and there was right.

That was an eventful five minutes of daydream time. Whilst Skip and Emerald were off finding oaken rods and becoming overly muscular, Vixen was submerging herself in the wonders of strangulation. She didn't particularly prefer that method of murder, considering it wasn't very bloody and/or painful, so overall was a pretty weak tactic to use. Basically anything could be used for such a strategy, so it didn't necessarily require skill, either. Bicycle chains, pillow cases, hands, the possibilities were nearly endless. There could be a way to make it fun. If the victim strangled themselves then it was much more entertaining. Their own struggles ensnaring them further into Death's grasp was delightful. Vixen better just stick with bloodbaths.

[I honestly can't believe that just happened. Hard work and quirkiness pays off, kids.]
Another option felt all too familiar...darkness...she evisioned blackness pouring from her very soul, smothering the life out of her enemies...it felt good. Too good. In fact, she felt as if she could totally do this...weird.

This skill is a D-100 roll skill that can instantly KO an enemy. That is, they will not fight you anymore...but you get no XP. Still, it can help in a pinch, if it succeeds. Especially if there seems to be no viable strategy in a fight, or if you're all alone.>>

Skip shook out any leftover creepy feelings about Emerald, and then said, "Um.... well went left at the last fork, I think... so lets keep going that way. And I think we should keep a lookout for more treasure chests and stuff. I'd feel bad if I was the only one of us getting things," Skip said, glad that he added that last part, so that he didn't sound selfish.
He then looked over at Vixen, and was about to say something, but he noticed the eerie concentration that was on her face. "Uh... Vixen, are we good to go?" he asked, hoping she wasn't going to kill him or something.

Emerald noticed it too...
"Uh.....hah...yeah. Guys, let's go!"
Pushing the two along, she forced the group down the left fork. Just like the first path, it was a cold, rocky straightaway. At the end...was a box. It was very, very similar to the other chest. Which meant....
SWAG!
"Woohoo!"
Emerald jumped on the chest, prying at all the hinges and locks until, suddenly...
BWAHHHHHHHHH!!! Who disrupts the MIMIC KING?!?
The chest burst into life, sprouting a massive white pair of arms, a singular cyclopic eye, and a huge, pink mouth where the original opening once was.
Emerald, flung off by the explosion of force, readied her weapon.
"C'mon, guys. Let's get some TREASURE!"
<>
[S, E, Mimic, V]
(Overriding all)
Skip went first, making sure he and the arcane staff would be put to good use.
"Hm...how about a good ol' summon?"
Focusing his mind on the bracelet esper, Skip called out to Luna in his mind.
"Luna...please use all your might to help us in battle..."
(-65 MP)
She was awakened.
Luna Joy at your service, hun! Let's see what I can do today.

Luna readied two spells for her wooden target. The first...?
<>
(127 damage!)
The second?
<>
(No effect!)
Thanks for calling me, Skip! My work is done here. Good luck!
And with that, she disappeared, probably back into the blue bangle.
Now it was Emerald's turn. Since she knew that Vixen was the heaviest hitter of the bunch, she decided to pump her up a bit more.
<> to Vixen
(+3 STR!)
(-15 MP)
And now, the Mimic used up his turn. Opening wide, he targeted his current adversary...Skip.
<> to Skip
(Skip is in the monster's belly!)
(-7 MP)
Skip was...gone! Brandishing her tiny blade, Vixen charged up her power and expelled her hatred at the beast, aiming to free her companion.
<> to All (Mimic)
(-120 HP) (-15 MP)
The darkness felt good pouring out of her body...though it drained her strength, she knew the attack was being put to good use...ugh...ow...
(135 damage!)
The beast would not, however, let go of Skip. So, it was Emerald's turn again, then...
She had to heal her friend...that looked like a lot of pain to go through...
<> to Vixen
(+ 58 HP!)
(-6 MP)
The mimic swelled up. Man, Skip was in there....
Not for long.
The beast literally hurled Skip out of his belly, sending him crashing into Vixen. The two suffered some pretty extensive wounds...
<>
Skip: (- 210 HP)
Vixen: (-115 HP)
Jesus...
Skip knew it would be a bad idea to keep trying to own this guy, especially with the thing sucking him in his belly all the time. So, he switched to Invisa Form, just to be safe.
<>
Emerald was about to heal Skip, when he went and disappeared on her. How rude! Well...maybe a good ol' slice-n-dice move would do the trick!
<> to Mimic
(50 damage!)
He returned the blow, slapping the woman around with his massive fists.
<> to Emerald
(120 damage!)
Vixen knew she had to act...and act fast. Things were getting out of hand. So, she gave herself a little leg up.
<>
(-22 MP)
Emerald knew what the girl was up to, so she helped out a bit.
<> to Vixen
(AGI +5!)
(-15 MP)
Now Vixen was to go before the beast. Brandishing her new toy, she rammed it right into its big eye.
<> to Mimic
(120 damage!)
He didn't like that. Not one bit.
<> to Vixen
(120 damage!)
The two were well matched, to say the least.
Emerald continued to try her luck at the foul beast, this time finally realizing that his eye was very, very vulnerable. Good thing Vixen pointed that one out.
<> to Mimic
(Blinded!)
(-10 MP)
The beast shrieked as his big blue iris suddenly swelled up, covering his precious pupil. It worked!
Now, Vixen took her shot.
<> to Mimic
(120 damage!)
Her sword disappeared with the blow, leaving only her puny dagger behind.
The frantic beast swung at Emerald...

(87.5 Crit Damage!)
With the blade lodged in its eye, it flailed around, even more impaired than before...
...letting Vixen finish it off.
<> to Mimic
(68 damage!)
<>
~VICTORY!~
XP: 620 Spoils: Ether x2, $300, Skull Ring (Vixen only)
Woohoo!! Vixen levelled up!
<> <>
The arrows and "5" appeared on her plasma now.
The treasure was pretty cool...even though nothing was really specifically there for Emerald. How lame...
Skip came out of hiding. Was it over yet...?

[Actually, Robby made us go to the treasure chest, which I predetermined to be this boss fight. Since no one was on, I used that override petition to sanction me controlling the fight. You signed on at like, the tail end...so I couldn't fit you in. Sry...You can take over now and find more places to go. Just drag us along.]

((O.o.... Okay... Maybe you can alter the petition so that you don't do an entire fight by yourself? Like, do one round, wait a day, and then, if there's nothing, then do another round. Anything so that you don't do an entire fight by yourself. Because... I would have liked to have gotten in on that fight...))
GrossgrossgrossgrossgrossGROSS!!!! Skip made a solemn vow to never, EVER let something swallow him like that again. That was just too gross for words. He sat there, waiting for someone else to decide where they should go now.

Skulls were pretty. Perhaps if Vixen had been a somewhat normal being with an acutal room, she would adorn the walls with all things crossbones and creepy. Luckily, she had her personality to reflect such tastes. She slipped the ring on her finger without thoughts to any consequences, such as the ring shrinking until it successfully cut off her finger. That would suck. Hopefully it would do no such thing.
Oh. Her screen was glowing. That was unusual. The light was illuminating the deep depths, but only a bit. She had to find a way to get rid of this pesky light. Taking a closer look she found that if she would increase her stats or some other strange nonsense, it would go away! Freedom at last...or something like that. Hmm. Strength was nice. Vixen liked it. She liked it very much. She pressed that three times. Then she pushed vitality twice. That took care of that. The effects took place and whatnot, but Vixen was ready to move on.
"Can we keep going now? You know, before I actually want to strangle some one?"
Oh, wait. The other two wouldn't get that joke. Their loss. She began walking ahead slowly so that the other two wouldn't drag behind.
