Well... I'm sure their love life couldn't be nearly as disturbing as a certain Torchwood pairing...

><;

I loved it when the Doctor came running up with the bow and arrows. I started laughing. I really wish we could know what they were going after. xd

yeah and he said something about a lizard?

i liked the randomness there!!!
I generally like how random Doctor Who can be - but it makes it all the better!!! how else did they invent the pepperpot Daleks as we know them? not without randomness thats for sure!!

That's all covered in the classic series story Genesis Of The Daleks.

Sorry, being pedantic! My avi's in more or less the same outfit as I am for the play, so I'm in Laura mode here too! sweatdrop

LAMO! Fantastic episode, though the statue montage at the end kinda freaked me out a bit. I gonna hate walking around now, some many statues gonk

The Weeping Angels were a neat group of monsters, way better than the scarecrows in HN/FoB.

Loved the short but random insane bits of Doctor in it:
- "People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect... but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly...timey-wimey...stuff."
- This is my timey-wimey detector. Goes ding when there's stuff.
- I've got to hurry; I've got a thing. Well, four things really. Well, four things and a lizard.

But, it was nice to see a really decent Doctor-Lite episode, not that Love and Monsters wasn't that bad- but Blink is way better.

I think these past few eps have to be
THE best of the new series-
they are on a roll ATM!
I think the Human Nature/Family of Blood
and then Blink were just all fantastic!

I have so many replies here
I thought I'd put them in one post:

@ JagraXen
Oh yeah- i love it when they do that!
It reminds us that we don't see ALL
the Doctor's adventures, only a few,
and I think it's great how they made the ending work out,
with a paradox between Sally and the Doctor-
neither would have happened without the other happening!
The bow and arrow thing at the end was just a great twist
And the whole "4 things and a lizard!

@ Sepic
I have to agree there!
Did not need that image in my mind!
But some torchwood pairings are great...

*cough*Jack/Ianto = love*cough*

@ Anakoreta
Timey-Wimey cracked me up!
Love the dialogue in Who-
it's always so well written.
I agree- I thought the whole style of the
Home-Movie thing lith L&M was good,
but Blink was WAY better-
no contest!

@ KyotoPsycho
I know- me too!
That happened more with me and the
Empty Child one in series 1.
I was having a sleepover with my friend,
and my mum kept turning the landing light off,
and we kept creeping out and turning it on again!
We didn't sleep all night- we were than scared!
Steven Moffat = King of Terror!

I loved the way Billy said
Life is short, and you are hot
    Then said
Life is long, and you are hot, when he was old.

I think there's a reason overall that we hear about the good lives each of the displaced people ended up having, besides the strangeness Sally is experiencing as time is getting messed with around her. I'm betting she had that information in her packet that was a compilation of all her information about that adventure--you saw her open it in the shop & the photos & everything are there. If the Doctor saw all that, he'd know that letting them stay where they are will lead to good lives for each of them.

Yes, I like this one a lot more than L&M--also more than GitF, but not quite as much as EC/DD.

This was a very enjoyable episode. Spotted a couple nitpicks on my 2nd viewing though...

1. How did the Doctor know to warn Sarah that the weeping angel was going to throw a rock at her in the beginning? That wouldn't have been in the transcript, I would think.

2. Nevermind that the weeping angels are probably going to wake up when the light bulb goes out in the basement. What I want to know is, why is there electricity in an abandoned house in the first place?

Anyway, they should turn the entire Tenth Doctor DVD easter egg segment in Blink into a real easter egg for the Series 3 DVD set.

1. I thought she gave him more than the transcript. I'm pretty sure there was some other stuff in that folder, where the Doctor could have read about the writing on the wall.

2. We don't know how good the angels' eyesight is. In complete darkness, they probably would "wake up", unless they have some kind of special vision. But it's possible they never will, too.

And I've said the same thing about the easter egg. mrgreen They'd have to actually HIDE it, though... instead of putting it in the Special Features or whatever.
