"You take the good with the bad. I know that if I had gone one on one with the cat, I would have probably died. Just like I know that if you had gone one on one with the cat, you would have probably survived. I'll trade life for slow transactions any day of the week." Dameon murmered, blue eyes focusing on the forest ahead. "And like I said, if I don't, who will? Me, Raken, and Tristen know Amara better then anyone else for better or worse. I grew up with her, being a toddler while she was a child. She's mortal too, and pae are very social creatures. Me and tristen are the only ones that see her anymore, and whether or not she admits to it or not, I know she's greatful that someone cares about her still even though she doesn't. It's not her fault that she was born the Fae of Hate."

"Dad no offense, but you are kinda weak. If you spent sometime lifting weights or something you'd have just as good of a chance of fighting that cat and winning as I do." He said, pulling at a tuft of fur that was about hand level on his leg. "I should probably visit her, though she doesn't know I even exist does she?"

"Offense taken." He playfully shoved junior to the side. "If you weren't a polar bear I could wrestle you down old school." They entered the forest and dameon relaxed even further. He liked this forest, it was so...so different from Dragnid. "She knows you exist, and she hates me even more for it. Just like I know she's going to practically disown me once she finds out I'm going to propose to starry. Normal pae'il showing love is bad enough, but her own family caving into it is like an outright insult to her. What really hurt her was when the one pae that she respected fell in love." He rapidly blinked, head snapping to the side. "Don't tell anyone about this. I'm not even supposed to know, wouldn't if I hadn't grown up with her. She'd honestly kill me for talking about what she conciders a weakness."

"Riiiiight." He said, knowing that his father looked like he had the muscles, but couldn't own up to them "How bout a match later, no powers, no nothing." He said, pulling a leaf from a nearby tree. "You told me something?" Junior cocked his head, hopoing that Dad would figure out that he was just saying that he wasn't going to tell. "Auntie Amara would put us both in coffins if she ever found out I've got kids on the way..."

"You're on fuzz ball." Dameon might not be the strongest of pae, but with his power, he had also become very flexible. Even if he didn't use his power, it would be very hard for junior to pin him. "And yeah. She might not care as much though since you're not in the immediate family, but she's still going to resent you more. Think of it like this, at least she's acknowladges your existance." The yellow pae blinked up ahead. Hey...what do you know, the fae of the forest. He extended an arm and waved, grinning. "Hello~!" His smile dwindled slightly when they didn't wave back

"Strength versus flexiblity." He laughed, putting a fist up in the air. "Well, that's now on my worry list. I have to worry about her resenting me to the point where my children are going to be in danger." Junior looked up just as Dameon was waving at the fae and jerked his arm down. "Those are not nice fae Dad, you don't want to talk to them unless you're like Phim or Auntie Amara. And don't forget, they like you even less becasue you're after something they protect."

"They'll probably just become her newest footballs." His voice lowered as his arm did, blue eyes holding confusion. "Really? How odd...especially since they're in the good forest. Ah well..." The yellow demonic started to walk towards them, face hardening as if daring them to say something now. Time to put on your game face.

"Endangerment." He mumbled, already planning on keeping his daughters away from the evil ones in their family. Junior nodded, stepping infront of his father with a face showingno emotion. He pointed to the left "Look over there, I'll go to the right." his voice very mellow and impossible to get an emotional read from

"Alright." He spoke flatly, looking every bit of the demonic he was dispite his flamboyant coloring. Dameon walked to the left, scanning the ground for something that looked...he didn't know, silvery? Sparkly? What did silver look like? Curse Raken!

Junior sighed, he forgot to asked Dad if he knew what silver looked like. "It's shiney and silvery. Probably a bit dull from sitting in the ground." He said, voice still flat. There didn't seem to be anything where he was searching.

"Haven't you ever been told not to use the name of the thing your discribing in a definition?" He murmered, eyes catching something that glinted dully in the light. Dameon moved towards it, just as a silver staff fell down in his way. The demonic looked up. "Move." That one word was cold enough to send a shiver down a spine, voice strong and commanding. Someone one would not expect it to come from Dameon. "Now."

Junior shook his head. There was nothing on the right, not a single bit of metal, let alone the silver they were looking for. Once he heard his father speak he almost trembled, never had he heard that tone of voice from him, not once. Nor did he hope to hear it again.

The fae looked at him and blinked as if in surprise, but dameon had no time for him. The demonic reached out and harshly moved him to the side, reaching down and picking up the peice of silver. The look he gave the other when he straightened was murderous. He turned and walked back in the direction they had come from, motioning to junior slightly. The fae didn't follow him, looking puzzeled and lost. Obviously, it wasn't often a pae stood up to the Gaurdian created Faeries of the woods.

Junior, still in shock followed his father out of the clearing and down the path a ways before even considering speaking. "Dad... You sounded like you were going to murder someone!" He exclaimed, patting Dameon on the shoulder. He had never heard his father stand up for himself like that. "That was so awesome!"

He shook his head slowly, a rueful grin slowly spreading on his lips. "I hate using that voice. I swear, I sounded like Amara's male counterpart!" Dameon grimaced, thinking back on it. "That was probably the first and last time you're going to hear it. It's not something I like to resort to often...I don't even think your mother has heard it."
