Reddemon Conversions make it easier to make your chars. If you play something such as Mordheim your used to doing some minor conversions True, but I find there's more stuff to convert with in 54mm scale. Sure, the range is still limited, but it's limited to stuff that you're likely to want in an =][= game, whereas 40K has lots of models but most of the stuff isn't appropriate. With Mordheim you have a lot of plastics specific to the game available for conversion, doing 40K scale =][= means using models from one game to play another, and so there are problems. I'm not saying it's impossible, just more difficult, and if you're going to be doing enough conversion work to get models that look as good as the =][= scale ones then you're probably going to end up spending almost as much as you would on larger models.
Also, playing 40K scale you're probably going to end up with more Space Marines, power wapons and bolt weapons, which is far from a good thing...

What I love the most, is converting, so that's why I like Inquisitor so much: lots of options for convertions. IMHO, everyone should use the 54 mm characters and convert them, as =][= is much more character oriented then, say, 40k. It's really about individuals and I think you can give your characters more character with the large models smile (If you want to know what my latest are, with discription, check here and for all of them check here)

Don't know if you know about this already, but GW are reducing The Specialist Games Minatures Range. Apparently some of the =][= models are just being re-packaged, rather than discontinued, but they do look to be getting rid of some of them entirely. I've been out to get the Citizens this week (for use as Genestealer Hybrids), and I'll probably be making another trip out to get me a squad of Guardsmen after my birthday...

Well crap, they removed the Navy Bosun from their range, a model I really liked to get my mits on. The citizens have also been removed, as is the two part Valhallan conversion kit.

Ummm...No. The Navy Bosun is under "Adeptus Atartes and Imperial Navy", and the Citizens are under "Desperados and Rogue Traders" , in the online store.

I think we're living in different countries then, as the UK on-line store no longer lists them. Worst of all, the new SG catalogue shows the reduced range, lot's of things removed. gonk The Inquisitor range has suffered the most under these reductions sadly, while most other ranges merely barr you from ordering special parts.
No more citizens, no more bounty hunter, no more Bosun!
Damnit! I still want to know when they'll start selling that Thorian Inquisitor.

Are the Argoflagulants still in the game? I remember I wanted to have one in my warband when my gaming group was thinking about taking up =][=.

Lt_Brookman Problem is, GW sometimes has conflicts with the creators of the models. Remember how there used to be an Inquisitor scaled Kal Jerico model? Well, GW told the people that the mold was damaged and thus, no more Kal models. In reality, the sculpter had some problems with GW, which resulted in his model no longer being used. Yeah, I remember the Kal model, I used him as the basis for my genestealer hybrid pariah. I had all sorts of plans for that model before it vanished...Lt_Brookman I find it an effing shame that the bounty hunter is already deleted from the range, as well as the citizens and the Bosun. I couldn't agree more; I wanted that bounty hunter. If I'd have known he was disappearing too I'd have bought him when I rushed out to buy the citizens and guardsmen models...Lt_Brookman I keep asking it, but where the frag is that effing Thorian Inquisitor! And where is that first Inquisitor factiosn book that Gav was writing! Damn it all, SG is being screwed over. I heard that the mould was damaged, though if what you say is true then that could mean almost anything. I'm sure I remember the Thorian book being released online though...

Welp, several months ago the UK WD made mention of this book becoming available on-line pretty soon, but no luck thus far.
