And, cry she did. "But.. I don't want to cry... I hate crying... I'm a tough girl.. tough girls don't cry... " wails and piles of sobs and sobs. "I'm pretty dammit. I can sing.. and dance... and I'm cuddly.. and awesome... and ... and...."
Ness pushed her paws into her face to try and rub out the wetness. She felt like such a mess. She was in a small way though relieved they were the only ones there. She was always on Victor's case about him being a crybaby. And, here she was being a crybaby.
"I don't like it... I need to make myself stop." Her fists balled up trying to muster herself to stop crying already.

He let off a small smile, "Some of the toughest girls break down sometimes," he spoke to her, "Now, just let it all out, it's not good to try to stop it when your not let loose of it all the way, " he told her, licking the side of her face. He just wanted her to be happy right now, or atleast calmed down.

Well, he was mostly right. The more she was fighting it;the more it swelled up inside so that it bumrushed all her defenses. She couldn't take it anymore and flung herself on Victor. She had streams of hysterical crying going on for a little bit.
When she had finally let it out for another good thirty minutes of crying, she sat up. She looked around and was glad he was the only one there to see all of it. She sat up quickly drying her eyes. Her face was pink from embarrassment, and the lining of her eyes swollen from all that crying. "Omg.. i bet i look like a nasty mess right about now..."

He smiled, reaching himself up and hugging her again, patting her back a few times, "Your still the most beautiful creature alive," he whispered, looking to her face, "It's alright though. You feeling better after that episode?", he asked her, chuckling for a moment.

She laid her head against his chest, letting him comfort her. She really was not in a frame of mind to really fight him like she did sometimes. "I guess... a little.. but... it still bothers me for crying like such a baby. omg... that was so dumb..."
Her arms reached up to hold onto his arms. It was a time like this; she felt his warmth. He did seem awful warm. He was so willing to just sit there so patiently with her going through it all. "Heh. You don't have to say i'm beautiful when I'm just absolutely ghastly. I mean. I know you like to be nice.. but i'd rather you not dole out compliments if they aren't true. I mean. normally I am the very pretty and fetching.. but I'm sure I can't look anything pleasant with my face all like this."

He smiled, running a couple of fingers through her hair, "I just wanted to make you feel as better as possible," he laid back down against the wall, "I just, don't like to see you this way," he spoke to her, closing his eyes to the half-way point.

"I know! I wouldn't want to see me when I look like this either. I swear... I bet all the fur under my eyes will be all stuck together. bleh. That's so nasty..." She rubbed her face trying to smooth the fur out. She didn't really bother to move away from him yet.
Her weakness for liking to be touch was at the moment being soothed. It helped to smooth over her crashing from her candy high. "Well. so yeah... you have just been witness to what happens when I have way too much sugar in a short amount of time. I get a high.. and then a low.. how long they last varies on what I've had.. but... heh. Makes me not a pretty sight... I mean.. look at me..."
Then she paused.. "on second thought.. I'm sure you're probably tired of looking at me now..."

He chuckled, "I would never be tired of seeing you, no matter what you look like," he told her, continuing to let his one paw run through her soft hair, "Least I know what to do next time this happens," he smiled, looking to her, but lost with his words.

"Well.. we're not in a hurry.. we can sit and rest for a bit... right?" She didn't really look up when asking this. She just laid there against him letting him run his fingers through her hair. She loved fingers going through her hair.

"Yeah, we can stay here as long as you need to," he told her, reaching down and kissing her right between her eyes. He bent back to the wall, and got comfortable. He continued to hold her with one hand and let his hand glide through her hair.

After some time had passed, Ness finally got up and stretched herself out. Then, she walked to her stuff to get it together. "Thanks... for being there for me Victor. Please don't tell anyone about that though, ok? I don't like to be thought of for moments like that." She found her backpack and put it back on.
The picked up her jars of candy and smiled. She would have to exhibit more self control in how much she eats in the future. Still, she had 2 full jars of exotic candies. That was fun...

"Don't worry, I won't tell a soul," He told her, nodding a couple of times, "I need to finish harvesting myself though, you okay waiting a moment or two more?", he asked her, getting up to pick up his own jars and his bag.

"Yes. I'm not in a hurry. This is an adventure after all." She was starting to cheer up and muster back to her normal self. She kept tilting her head, cracking her neck. She would flutter her wings sometimes. She'd back to normal just as soon as all the candy and emotions had run their course.

At last, he had completed filling in both of his jars. Making sure they were tightened, he stuffed them into his bag, looking to her. "Now, I wonder what's in the other fork," he mumbled, stretching and yawning.

"Yeah... Let's go do that then I guess..." She gave a good shrug to her backpack to make sure she had it well. Double checked for the flashlight. Then, she headed back down the tunnel from which they found their way in there.
When they found the open room again, she looked to the left seeing the shaft in the floor. "I wonder how far these caves can actually go down."
