That really depends on the genre that you are comparing it to.
Like, if you compare it to Heavy metal, then theres Mike with his emceeing and Joe with his Djing and Chesters wide range of singing styles.
However, if you were to compare them all up to every other type of music, then i'd have to say, the originality of their music and their wide range of musical talents.

Mel_Darkflame Because they have Brad, Chester, Joe, Mike, Phoenix, and Rob. that's why. Like seriously, think about it. Brad does things with his guitar to make the music simple, but still sound kickass in a way that no one could perfectly duplicate. He says more with less. Chester, frick, he's the best vocalist there is out there! Joe's is an awesome DJ, and they're original with that... the fact that they have a DJ in their band. That's not very common at all. Mike's an awesome multi-talented Emcee that dosent rap about money and drugs and sluts, that's original. Phoenix is also very talented on the bass, and plays classical instruments as well such as the violin and cello found on the Reanimation CD. And Rob's a very skilled drummer. The members are what makes them different, the fact that they've been able to mix so many genres of music.... hardly anyone truly appreciates what Linkin Park has done to music. They've created something totally new. They're legends, even if alot of people dont like them and they're not recognised as such. I couldn't have said it better myself.
It's all about the originality and talent of the band members and how when put together at work, they create something amazing that just can't be compared to anything else. And that's what Linking Park has done.

Its not supposed to be a shot in there direction. But Still, all in all chester is NOT the best singer out there, he is far from it.dont missunderstand, I think hes a singer with potinial ,but There are many that can do a better job then he can. King diamond can hit higher notes and much lower notes then chester ever hope to. and Ronnie james Dio has such a strong and powerful voice. Or tim owens from Iced earth, he is such a dramatic and monolithic singer he brings the story of the song alive, holds a note pretty good too. An other thing with there guitarist. he has no speed, No individuality. It just sounds like all rythm guitar to me. and the bassist, I don't think he's a good bassist at all. He just blends in, doesnt input anything into the song. take geezer butler for instance. when tonni iomi soloed everyone was "oooh" while geezer butler was still keeping great rythm while soloing hiself. what i do like about him is that he can play alot of classical instruments. And rob is not that skilled at drumms. anyone can bang on things and make a beat. But to own the beat, master it, and control the beat will make it your own. and the dj isnt half badd. all in all I don't think they can be much better musicians. but i like the way the sync into each other

Linkin park can NOT be compaired to any metal at all. there are no elements of metal in linkin park, it would be like compairing them to country

They're unique because of their sound...it's "hybrid"..hence them wanting to be first called Hybrid Theory..their music is a collaboration of different sounds and music styles..and even though others have tried, no other band can really match their sound..

Linkin Park is different to every other band I know. They're talent is indescribable and is so unique compared to the rest of the music industry. The songs they write can be related to a teenager's daily lifestyle and can also help them through struggles and tough times. The band members a completely dedicated to their music and they always put the band first. They love the fans and do the absolute best they can for them every single time, even if that means taking a year or so to complete an album - which is definately worth the wait.
AND most importantly, they are original! Nobody can be as good as Linkin Park, except Linkin Park because they are their own style that nobody else can ever be.

It's kinda' odd, like when I was listenin to a few songs I had never heard, on a launchcast radio, in the beginning before reading what it was, I could just tell it was linkin park, so many instruments, ranging from guitars to violins, Smoothish kinda' music, metal, rap, rock, just everything in 1 package deal, they just mix the best together.

Hmmkay. The vocalist thing is all a matter of opinion, for one, and in my opinion, I havent heard much better =
Uhh... the guitarist shot. If you knew a thing about what LP's song is about, they take simple guitar sounds to make something deep. The simpler the better, is what they said :sigh:. And if you cared to look into extra footage and vids, you see Brad is actually a very skilled guitarist. Quote: "Yeah, I can rip fast solos in a heartbeat, do complex actions and complicated riffs... but the simple sound is what makes Linkin Park Linkin Park.
The bassist shot. Oh, you're gonna get it lol jk but still. Have you not hear A Place For My Head, Forgotten, or any of those? >.< The bass is super different... not even close to the same as guitar. In alot of songs, if you cared to listen. It creates depth and layers. Geeze.
The Durmmer shot makes me mad. Like... do you not listen to the drums at all? I've played drums for two years and I cant match the drums. Maybe lookit some other bands. His beats are original, and fast moving, well synchronized and fit with the band awesomely.... now... is there anything else I missed?
Oh yeah. LP HAS ALL THE FRICKEN TALENT IN THE WORLD... how dare you suggest otheriwse.

I think its the fact that they sound very different from all the other bands out there and how they blend so mayn different genres of music into one. Also the stuff they write about is alot better then some bands. Linkin Park is just a very awesome unique band
