"Oh look, kitty has claws. definately daddy's little girl or momma's prized daughter."
a slight smirk at her.
"Not all humans grow old and die. not all of them are bound by laws of nature or rules of fate. Some find exilirs to lengthen thier life. other find magical talismans or items of power. some are just halfbreeds who so resemble humanity that they choose to be human."
pocketing the gold and righting his chair, leaning back and putting his feet on the table.
"we're stuck here till the storm is passed. and I think I enjoy company with a little bite. makes time go by so much quicker."
not to mention a few lifted purses and items off patrons as he made his way here. then another grin that was all ego.
"And who knows, if you submitted to a human, you just might like being 'controlled'"

She did not like this man at all...damn human. Though admittedly she was daddy's little girl. Malikhai bounced between them, Dhairiss was mom's follower, and she was dad's. "True enough, 'Hawk', but one can't tell off the bat who can do that...or if they're lying." Looked like they weren't getting away from this guy at all...ugh his boots were sandy and on the table. Sitting back down she pulled her bowl closer to herself and stirred around it's contents. Though another snicker. "Never...I come from those that control, not those who are controlled."
Chylithair shuffled down her arm from her shoulder and onto the table, fluffing himself in agitation and perching on the edge of the table, keeping an eye and head cocked at Hunter. Giving him a piece of meat from her bowl she shook her head. "By the way, he bites...I wouldn't put your fingers too close, you may loose them." Then a chuckle. "Maybe I'll get my money back after this storm...seeing as you may loose your ship to the sands."

"Everything bites. it's just a matter of how hard."
though a smirk and casual dismissal of her comment with a wave of his hand.
"The Chimera can survive any sandstorm, or ocean borne one was well. she's specially modified and prepared. nothing is going to take my ship without a serious fight."
though a once over of her with a slight grin.
"those that control, not those that are controlled. but everyone is controlled by something, or someone. greed, ambition, love, hate, faith...pride...me personally, I think I'm more of a greed kinda guy."
thumbing his finger at the other guy at the table.
"He's a duty person. you're pride. your friend is probably curiosity, or your her boss."

"I do believe I've never met a philisophical pirate." Rolling her eyes but merely tending to her food for the time being, ears twitching as they listened to everything that was going on around her, giving a audio that she could form in her head into the picture of what was going on. Shaking her head lightly. "You humans think you can state things so simply." Her father probably could of gone into monolouge over that particular statement of hers, or any other elf for that matter. "Don're presume to know my motives...I don't take kindly to those that want to slap a label of anything on me." Being a necromancer was hard...everyone thought you were evil and such and what not. Or out to rip off thier bodily things to use as you pleased.

"Come now, you have a label. Necromancer. Just like I'm a Pirate. like he's a city guard. like the guy behind the bar is a bar tender. you proffesion labels you, doesn't it? like your profession elicts fear and hatred. Mine too. everyone thinks I'm out to steal everything they have, and they think your out to steal thier souls."
A chuckle.
"And I'm no philosopher. It's just everyone has a price, and a weakness stemming from it. I'm greedy, conniving...and it's gotten me into and out of many situations. and pride comes right before a big fall. maybe I'll be there to catch you and sweep you off those booted feet."
A smirk.
"You know you want me. You want a scoundrel human lover just for the fun factor of a wild and stormy night of passion that you haven't partaken of yet."
Yep, ego.

"That is not my label, but my profession. You should learn the difference. And souls aren't all I'm after." Though they were fun to rip out and put back into people to freak them out. "But as I said, I'm not like any other necromancer you may know..." After all, daddy gave her a few extra tricks up her sleeve...or rather it was a trick every D'vinn child knew from thier father. "I'd rather fall into the gaping jaws of a dragon than have you catch me."
Though then quite the disgusted noise at his further egomanical sayings and suggestions. "You're insufferable. I want you just about as much as I want go for a walk in lava. If I want anything to do with you it would be to rip your spine out and beat you with it." Yup...lack of lady in this girl. "Just look at you...you're dirty, probably have sand in crevices you didn't even know you had, and your ego would smother anyone who would even have the insanity to get that close to you."

Shyrae was well used to bantering and conflict, she came from a family that felt the day couldn't go by without snapping at each other in some form. She pretty much stayed out of it, choosing to merely listen and observe instead. Conflict didn't thrill her, she was very much like her father in that respect. She was also sheltered and had never known sex outside of marriage. Caden's staring confused her somewhat and the easy talk of bed, sex, and passion dismayed her.
Her parents had taught her sex was saved for one you loved and she knew that this pirate didn't love Savvy. "Are you not out to steal everything everyone has? Since we've been here you've alluded to it three times and I have no doubts that you would have gone through our things if you thought you could get away with it. Stereotypes always have some sort of truth to them and if people are paranoid about you, that means you've probably stolen before, which you've freely admitted." A shake of her head. "What elf would sleep with a human? There's no point. You can't keep up, you're far too inferior in the knowledge department and by the time you got close enough to allow it, you'd be old and unattractive, not to mention you have not the mental capacity to connect with us on any level worth our time. Halfbreeds have more of a chance than humans, it's just the way it is."

Savryn shook her head and then got herself up, offering an arm to Chylithair, letting him step up before she turned her attention to Shyrae. "Come on, you ordered a bath and I'd hate for your water to get cold. Besides...the egomanical tendencies are making the room foul." Walking over to her friend and then turning a look back over to Hunter from under her hood. "You've got your money and I've no use for you." Another look to her friend, gesturing in a nod motion that they should vacate the table. "We'll share a room." It was best for Shyrae's safety...and well, she didn't want to be alone in this place. "And simply wait for this storm to pass...I assume this is one of thsoe 'unusual things' that have been happening lately." And he'd still be left nameless and probably irked over it...which amused her.

Choosing not to question, she merely stood and followed along behind Savvy. Truth was, she was quite uncomfortable at this point in time and didn't much like the human pirate who had invited his way into their company. She headed upstairs with Savvy, pulling out a key and unlocking one of the doors, then heading in and setting their bags down. "This place is definitely different..." She unclasped her cloak and draped it over a chair, pulling her braid over her shoulder and taking to undoing it.

Yup in thier room, she pushed back her hood and took promptly to walking the perimeter of the room. "Chy, find yourself a perch." Feeling the weight of the bird leave her before she took to her mental image making of the room. "Different is a good word for it. Most places aren't all barren and dead outside of one spot. Make sure you lock the door." Continuing in silence for a moment....desk, chair, rug, dresser, open space which meant another doorway, indention with glass meaning window, bed and back to door they had come in. "Are you alright? I'm sure that you may be a little...uneased."

Watching her friend for a moment, she had a moment of uncertainty on what she was doing. After all, Savryn knew her way around her house and the Inthara house by heart and had no need to test the rooms. Leaning back on the bed, it hit her what Savvy was doing and she nodded. "Yes well...it was strange. The guard wouldn't stop gazing at me and that other human? Hunter. I don't like him at all. He's presumptuous and entirely too full of himself. Even mama would take issues with his ego and she's pretty tolerable of attractive males." Switching positions so that she was on her tummy instead, she lifted her back legs and knocked her boot heels together. "He mentioned an elf sleeping with him for a paltry sum..."

"They're both humans. Humans have a tendency to stare at pretty things for unreasonable amounts of time. Your clothing is revealing...being elves it does not phase us, but to adolescent humans or the younger adult ones...well they can't help themselves. They lack restraint of the elves." Making sure the door was locked before counting steps to the chair she had discovered earlier, pulling off her robe nad laying it across the chair back as well. Clouded over eyes turned to her friend even as she picked up the sash from her robe and pulled it around her shoulders casually. Always wore the house crest. "And contrary to what you learned Shy, sex is also currency to some people as well as a service that can be bought. It's not uncommon for a human to pay for sex. Though I think I'm a bit put off by an elf acccepting money to sleep with one. I know this is all knew to you, so if you have any questions do feel free to ask."

That made sense. She knew she was attractive, all her siblings were too. Which explained quite neatly why Zykariel enjoyed so many women's company. She'd never really thought about it before but he must be having sex with all of them which in turn explained why her mother and father would get so annoyed with him. But turning her attention back to the situation at hand, she nodded. "I just thought my parents were the norm, not the exception to the rule. I suppose I just ignored all the signs from Vesendar and whatnot because Eili knows that promiscuity is nothing new. I didn't realize it was currency though, just thought it was mutual pleasure shared between two people who have strong feelings for each other." She glanced up at her friend and frowned for a moment, "You wouldn't sleep with him would you?" Sure she'd spouted off about dragons and whatnot but that didn't mean Savvy meant it. Sometimes she snapped just because of the person antagonizing her.

"Sex can be merely motions my friend. Feelings don't have to be involved. I'm afraid that's one of the truths that you'll find out about when you leave home." Not that Shyrae knew that Savvy had done such things before to merely get her way as well...she probably wouldn't take it well. But then a frown, looking over her friend'ss head...seeing as she was laying down and Savvy was merely looking where sound was coming from.
"Innoruuk's Cauldron...no. That egomaniac has absolutely nothing I want at all from him, and on top of it, he disgusts me." And to be disgusted by someone who could only see the outline of your form in the barest means and maybe a tiny bit of bright color if you were wearing one...well the personality must really throw them into dislike. "Listen Shyrae, you have to be careful around people like this...you saw how he just got all my gold. Never carry more than what you need on your person, okay?"

"That was foolish Savvy. If one is stupid enough to attempt to catch something when they have no idea what that person is capable of, then I say they deserve what they get. You could have burned the net easily enough and it was clear that he wanted something we had. We were protecting ourselves and such is the way it goes for thieves. For him to demand payment from us was petty and ridiculous and I would have liked to tell him so too." She nodded once, punctuating her statement. "It's a wonder he's lived as long as he has if he has tried such things before. My father and yours both would have torn his net to pieces and then gone after him." She laughed softly, "And they have such creative ways of torturing too."
She was very pleased to know that her friend had been just as repulsed as she had by the irritating Captain. "I suppose we'll probably run into him again, though. Pests don't normally just go away, now do they?" She sighed long-sufferingly at that and shook her head. "And we won't be hiding away in our rooms all day either. If we run into him again, we know how to handle him. I was getting very upset when he felt the need to touch your hood not once but twice. Did his mother not teach him respect for other peoples' belongings and persons?" Catching her mistake she shook her head and snickered, "Well if she did he ingored it. He is a thief after all. But not to worry Savvy, I have good judgment and I have more gold and such so we shall be fine."
