Takeko smiled, watching Aspen rush off eagerly. She could hardly believe it...they were parents again, responsible for raising a young life to learn to fend for itself in this world. It would take a while for it to sink in, but for now, she'd revel in the warm glow of happiness. Closing the door to their home quietly, she set about getting things ready for their new bundle of joy. There was much to do.
