Sigal, slightly worried, started backing up, seeing Ame's evil grin. But not quickly enough. She was tackled, and tickled.
"S--stop that...that...that...tickles!" she squealed, rolling around on the ground trying her best to get away from Ame's tail. And failing horribly at it.

Ame laughed and giggled as she tickled her mate. She would let up just a bit every now and then to let Sigal breath and regain herself before tickling her again. "I know! Thats why I'm doing it!" Ame said cheerfully in between a tickle. "What're you gonna do about it, huh?"

"Evil!" Sigal managed to gasp out during one of the respites. She tried to roll away from Ame and her tail, but that just wasn't working so well.
She needed to think of a plan. But she needed to be able to think to come up with a plan, and she couldn't do that while she was being tickled! So she was stuck just squirming and rolling on the ground.

Finally, Ame decided to let up and stopped tickling Sigal. She had run into a new obstical; she was thirsty. Thinking back to where they started, she couldn't remember seeing any sign of a stream or any water sorce.
"Hey Sigal, I'm kind of thirsty. Are you? I don't remember seeing any good place to drink on our way here..."

Sigal rolled away from Ame, so her mate couldn't start tickling her again, then stood back up, shaking out the dirt she had gotten in her fur from rolling on the ground.
"Yeah...No, I don't remember seeing any, either. Maybe if we keep going we'll find one?"
Sigal spent so little time off of the Lunarie lands (which she had finally finally finally left for good!) she couldn't think of any better way to find water than that.
But she was sure there had to be a better way. Somehow...
Her Aunt Rina was a wanderer. If she ever saw her aunt again, Sigal supposed she could ask her.

Ame looked at the dirt spots on Sigals fur. She was so beautiful, even when she was dirty. Lowering her head submissivly Ame walked slowly towards Sigal. "I'm not going to tickle you. You have dirt on your fur." As she waited to see if her mate would let her approuch or not, she thought about how to find water. There had to be some water somewhere around here. You couldn't grow and apple tree without water being somehwere near by.

Sigal eyed Ame, debating, and then decided her mate could be trusted. You didn't stop, and then suddenly start tickling someone again.
She glared at the dirt on her fur, but that wasn't enough to scare it off, so she tried licking it off.
"Bleah, nasty," she commented, picking up an apple and biting into it to clear the taste out of her mouth.
"Now we really need to find a pond..." But where would one be?

"Silly." Ame giggled seeing her mate lick off the dirt. She stepped behind Sigal and began brushing the fur on the back of her mate's neck, where Sigal couldn't reach by licking herself, with her paw.
"Hmm. Maybe I can see one from the tree. I found the strawberries that way." Ame trotted over towards the apple tree and jumped on the lowest branch. Then she worked her way up as far as she knew she could get down from. Looking around, she called down to Sigal her report. "There seems to be a small opening betweens some trees a little to our right."

"That might be water." Trees couldn't grow in deep water, so it was worth a try, at least. And they would just have to hope it wasn't a clearing or anything.
"Let's go!" she said, but waited for Ame to get out of the tree before heading off.

Ame struggled back down the tree and set off after her mate, who had kindly waited for her. As the walked on, she listened for the sound of water. Maybe it was a pond and had still water. She hoped that whether running or still, that there was water in the tree clearing and not just a clearing.

"There's something shiny up there...I bet that's the sun reflecting off of water! I'll race you there!"
Sigal grinned, and before Ame could say anything in protest, was off running. It felt amazing to be so free--free of Daddy's crazy tribe, free to run, free to now spend all of her time with her mate. Life was so amazingly perfect.

Shiny?! There was hope! Ame barely had time to register what Sigal was saying before her mate took off. Smiling, Ame took off, running at her top speed in hopes to catch up with Sigal. Life was good.
