i find rogue talents intimidating. every time i look at a build i just wanna crying
i like the first bit of subtlety stuff (imp sap, the increased level of sneak), but most builds seem to ignore it. i want to use daggers (my pally doesn't use axes, my rogue sticks with daggers, i'm a geek sweatdrop )
i want to do dps, i want to survive in pve, and i haven't decided on pvp. i'm only 25 or so, so i haven't messed up completely yet.
some suggestions pwetty pweeze?

As a rogue it's really hard to do both DPS and survive in PvE because Rogues can only maintain one status at a time.
If you do high DPS you rely on that DPS to take down enemies quickly enough to not get hit.
If you rely on surviability, your DPS is lowered from getting stamina and lack of damaging talents to really uphold DPS.

Level combat-swords. It's foolproof, and you should have no problem soloing. Daggers are far more tedious to level with -- you rely on gouge for far too much dps. If gouge misses, you'll be stuck spamming SS with low top-end daggers until gouge is up or you have enough combo points for a ks. With swords, maces or fists, spam sinister strike until you build up 5 combo points. If the mob is <25% health, evis. If it still has a good chunk of health left, kidney shot and continue the SS spam. Riposte every time it lights up. Level first aid and bandage between pulls. Sample build: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fGe0oxZG0Ez0VzxMGoxDump your points into combat until you get riposte, then switch to assassination to get 2/2 remorseless attacks. From there, you can either choose to max malice early to continue up the combat tree to adrenaline rush. Early on, look for agility/stamina (monkey) and agility/strength (tiger) gear. Your mainhand should be relatively slow (2.6-2.9) with high top-end. The speed of your offhand doesn't matter as much until you get combat potency, but try to keep it under 2.2 for poison applications. On a pve server, use dual instant or deadly (MH crip on runners). OH crip and MH instant on active pvp servers. When you ding 70, respec into a more instance/raid/pvp friendly build. If you choose to stay combat swords, this will mean dropping riposte and imp eviserate in order to pick up imp SnD, murder, and a few combat fillers.

Pretty much.
Although I prefer to go 2/2 SS, 5/5 Malice, 2/2 Remorseless Attacks (optional), 3/3 Improved Eviscerate and then advance straight up the Combat tree.
Edit: NEW ROGUE BUILD UPDATE AT THE END OF THE TALENT POST. WOOOOOOOOO.

Okay, let me try and properly use this thread for once whee I went holy, found it boring to level, but liked it because I got about 100 whispers a day to do instances. But since I liked ret so much, I went back to lv. more. But now, I'm thinking about going tankadin spec and give that a whirl. I'll be 67 in a bubble once I get back into the game... but anyway this is the spec I'm thinking about. Opinions? Feedback? 15/46/0I was going to try some AoE grinding with this spec and MT the 5 mans in outlands. I've read that Tankadins make better OT's in Kara though.

Feedback? 15/46/0I was going to try some AoE grinding with this spec and MT the 5 mans in outlands. I've read that Tankadins make better OT's in Kara though. It's alright. But I prefer going into a build that is more like this. 15 - 46- 0Reasons: Defense isn't too important in World of Warcraft now a days. Everything is about Armor and Resilence, because armor will generally give you more Defense than you need. Reckoning is a vaulable move, but since you are tanking, It's impractical to go for the full 10% with additional 3 points. 4%, which I like to consider 5% because I like intervals of 5. is suffice enough so that it'll proc enough when it does, while still managing to be vaulable. I am never too fond of Stoicism, considering it seems to be more of a PvP talent than a PvE one. So i took that out to get the full points in toughness because Armor scales alot by 10% at level 70. One-handed Weapon Specialization is VERY important, because if you read the talent, it says that in increases ALL damage done by 5% when you EQUIP a one-handed. Basically, it'll increase the damage you deal from all sources as long as you have a 1-handed weapon in your hand. So I believe that is very important in all aspects. Ardent Defender is alright, but I don't like the fact that you get below 35% health in the first place unless you are in a raid group of some sort. But then again, when you think about it, if a boss hits you to below 35% health, there is no way that cutting 1/3 of the damage will save you on the next hit. So I prefer going for the easy 18%. I took off the imp. healing for Divine Strength for the reason that strength is an important factor for Damage and the amount of damage your shield absorbs. Strength is indeed the stats that effects this, so it only compliements your other shield-based talents. Otherwise, you did a relatively good job.

Funkalicious_Dude The Warrior area seems lacking. Wut 4 tnk gwed? Because I don't know much about warriors end-game. I haven't actually seen a raid area on any of my own characters since BWL. I just hop on my friend's 70s and go to Karazhan or whatever if they want me to make sure they keep their 100% raid attendance but have something to do. gonk

Funkalicious_Dude The Warrior area seems lacking. Wut 4 tnk gwed? It depends on what you really want to do as a tank. In Raids and Heroic instances, it's good to basically keep at a good roll of Protection while still touching vital areas in Arms and Fury to compliement your tanking. http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=TMhcZVZfytsIMdc0stIs a good example of 8 - 5 - 48.

Ok, well I'm not exactly an expert on talents and how they work really. Are they meant to be built up over time? --For instance, my goal at 67 i would be 15/46/0, and right now I'm lvl 20, so would i start building up towards that?
Or are they meant to be redone every 10 levels or so?
Sorry if this is the wrong thread. <<

Can't really answer either of your questions without knowing your class.
Alright. My suggestion? Go Ret until you hit 50. At 50, go for Prot and get Avenger's Shield. Why? Because it's a b***h to level up in a tank spec. So to make it plenty easier, go Ret and quest and grind until 50.
As a Paladin, you normally do not respec so many times. Unlike certain other classes, a Paladin is more or less stable with any spec you go with, only needed to resspec around 3-4 times during your entire career. [[added in the fact that sometimes you have to respeec for your guild needs]].

Paladins should level like this if they wanna stay Ret until 70, or you can just do this until 50-ish and respecc Prot, Prot is bad for levelling early, though, and I prefer to respecc at 55.

COPYPASTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA:
Ok, the point of this build is to give you the maximum critical strike chance with your melee weapon and your Seal of Command. When you get Sanctity Aura at level 30, it is the only aura you will be using so do not make the mistake of putting points into Improved Devotion Aura. Sanctity Aura increases holy damage by 10%.
Start off the battles with Seal of the Crusader casted on yourself. Judge the target to put the effects of Seal of Crusader on it. Now, cast Seal of Command on yourself and keep judging the target with Seal of Command.. and use Hammer of Justice as often as you can before judging.
With the combination of Improved Seal of Crusader and Sanctity Aura you're holy judges do a lot more damage. When you put points into Sanctified Crusader at level 41 and Fanatisism at level 45 you're Judgements will crit A LOTTT and deal huge amounts of damage. Seal of Command has its damage increased when the target is stunned so Hammer of Justice and Repentance as SOON as the cooldowns are finished!
