On the whole I liked the episode. It managed to entertain me and take me out of my environment for awhile as a good TV show should. I also like Martha more for the fact that she seems to actually think, or in other words analyzes and observes the world around her more than Rose seemed to.
I also like how they explained how the same actress appeared in the last season. I was wondering if they were going to bother including an explaination.

Takuha I'm afraid so. By the by, does anyone else still not like DT as the doctor apaprt from me? I mean I'm used to him being in the part but I just still don't like him as much as I liked CE. Like how I have never accepted PM as the 8th doctor. Probably Roobarb, considering how she's always picking on Tennant whenever the opportunity arises. But we all know she secretly thinks DT is a hottie... razz

Oh and my fav Jettrick quote for the day: Jettrick Somehow the idea of a Judoon letting anyone, let alone a suspicious human, touch their cosmic markerpens doesn't seem to ring true of the characters portrayed throughout the rest of the episode. As a fellow new series cynic I have to say I do enjoy your rants. Plus it saves me the trouble. And to all the rest of you - you can ALWAYS love terrible series'... not that I'm saying DW is terrible. But god do I want to kick RTD sometimes. And by the way... how come the rhinos registered the evil lady as a Plasmavore during their scans? Surely she would register as a Timelord?

i also love Martha, i liked how she wasn't intimadated and she got in thw swing of things very quickly, unlike Rose.

So crazy straw lady could've had dog blood in her and they would've called her a plasmavore... which makes me wonder what would've happened if there ha been dog sin the hospital...

I used the whole rhino-alien-things' marking peoples' hands as an excuse to run around drawing X's on all my friends hands in black pen. rofl Man, was that ever fun. Especially the part where they stared confusedly at me and then I got to say "Catalouged!" blaugh (I'm in the States, so most of my friends pretty much have no clue that there's a new Dr. Who episode out, and a lot of them don't even know what Dr. Who is.)

Myeah, I'm in the States too and spent most of the weekend staring at YouTube praying for some kindly soul to post the episode...
How did the rhinos know it was a plasmavore? Probably because they expected any non-human to be a plasmavore. Or maybe Gallifreyan blood is just special that way. Coherence is not Davies' strong point...
Anyway, I though David Tenant did a lot better with Martha as a companion than with Rose. It was all sketchy and hyper with Rose... but of course now he's following in Eccleston's footsteps and going emo he's doing a much better job!

There is only one thing...and Ive had a problem with this ever since I started watching the old series...I wish they had episodes streached over a period of a couple weeks of 30 minute shows...you get more time to tell a story instead of trying to jam everything into 45 minutes....so....I dunno...more two parters would do this sieries good...

Those are up usually within an hour of broadcast. Roobarb Edit: Sorry, but talking about torrents is not really allowed.

Lullabee donkey.logic Lullabee [Way too long to quote. I've certainly got a gob!] Tehe, I was prancing around at the point going TimeLords don't wear socks! I'm slightly strange like that... When he's so skinny does anyone else want to strap him down and force feed him banana milkshakes? He looks far too skinny to be carrying Martha around at any point in time whatsoever, never mind when he's just almost died of blood loss. I swear, the reason they stuck that bit in wasn't for the sake of melodrama. It's to see if skinny little David Tennant can carry Miss Healthily Proportioned Freema Agy-Something around. Just 'cos if you were a writer, wouldn't you play silly buggers with the actors sometimes?
And have his eyes always had those bluish circles under them? And have they always looked that sunken? sad
But apparently he has an unlimited supply of Chuck Taylor All-Stars and sonic screwdrivers. So he's all set, really! The whole 'unhealthy' look was 'cause of the lack of oxygen. Notice how he's the only one still standing up. wink Haha, definitely too skinny to be able to carry her around. Although I don't think I'd mind it in the least if it was me instead of Martha, though. mrgreen

Hairy Priest This year's watchword is... Saxon??? People have spotted previous references in Love & Monsters and The Runaway Bride, as well as the Torchwood episode "Captain Jack Harkness". I'm not sure if this is another one of those official BBC fake sites, but apparently Martha Jones now has a myspace account: http://www.myspace.com/marthajonesuk Err.. yeah, that's the watchword. I caught it at least once in Runaway Bride, and at least three-four times in Smith & Jones. >.< My dad didn't notice it once. Sheesh. xp
