-is a proud female percussionist in a marching band section dominated by males-
I believe there are only three other girls in marching band with me. And that sucks, because the section is huge.

i'm a girl percussionist. right now we have 5 but one is going to graduate and two are thinking about quiting(i've been trying to convence them to stay but i can kinda understand why they don't want to) i think one already said they quit marching but is thinking about coming back. i made center snare whee i don't think i'm going to get section leader unless he has me and this other who i know is getting it. i think he wants two but it probably won't be me and i won't find out untill after everyone else because i have to miss the band banquet crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying crying . we have a male dominated battery and pit( 1 girl out of 5 in pit i don't know how we got that small.....well actually i do people graduated, quit, or went to battery).

*throws fist in the air* YES!! i have found my people! Drummer, almost six years, and i have to say, DRUMS ROCK!!! I was the only one from 5th grade band, out of all the boys, that didnt quit. I have a ton of female drummer friends, so, i'm going to list them. RIVA!!!! (MY HOMEGAL) Rachel Lauren LauRA Liz Cheri Yasmeen Melissa (almost full drummer, convert from oboe) Martine(convert from Clarinet) AND.......DANIELLE (aka, NiNi, Dani, Midget) Granted, my band is huge(120) and our drumline has 25 people on it, so that's why i know so many. Glad to meet people who think being a girl drummer rocks. (Not to mention when you tell a guy you play drums after you first meet them, you get ponts for smexyness) heart , Eve

I'm not a drummer, but in my opinion the best drummers in our band are the girls (or at least the most reliable ones ^^)

Julia would like to Unite with the loveable female drummers! Yay.
In our band (7/8th grade) we have Four girls, Kelly (likehs the Mallets) Tristin (likehs the Suspended Cymbal + Mallets) Shana (likehs the Mallets, but really does other stuff snare whatever) and JULIA (REALLY REALLY likehs the cymbals or snare or anything else like tambourine or cowbell)
and three guys Jeffrey (Really good at tympani/snare) Andrew (Snare) Michael (Bass mostly) and Jacob who hangs around the percussionists (He's a trombonist) because he knows that PERCUSSIONISTS ARE TEH AWEHSOME!

I'm lead stick in my marching band, and my brother's the drummajor. In fact, I could even get him here, and join this guild...
