Sybil bounced a little on his shoulders with a happy sound. "Over by Lester!" she confirmed.

Alida and Ritsu passed by the other group before Zuko and Sybil made it there. Alida gave them a smile and a nod, while Ritsu peered around her as they passed, and when she poked him, he managed a shaky sort of wave.

Avery watched in fascination as Aqua disappeared without hardly any ripples, and when she came back up, he exclaimed, "That's so cool, Aqua! But, if the water's muddy, how can I see it... I wish I had some goggles or something..."

The boy frowned, trying to think of what to do.

Lester stopped jumping and said, "Hi Sybil! Hi. .. Sybil's friend!" he said, he was still smiling from the great news and couldn't help it and then decided to introduce Hajari, "This is Hajari by the way" he said and pointed at the little Harpy, "He's the brother of my egg sister who just hatched!" he said, squealing again, and one could see that he was bursting to jump around and yell the news the the whole world.

MoogerMint laughed as the two boys started jumping with excitement over the news, and shook her head in disbelief. Mikadzuki turned his eyes toward their pack leader, a wolfish grin on his own muzzle as Hajari all but forgot about his shyness. It was a surprising change, seeing as four others were heading over in their direction. Gingitsune watched everyone from the floor, her tail waving back and forth lazily as she stayed alert.

As Alida and Ritsu made their way past them, Hajari's head bobbed up and his heart skipped a beat as he remembered, but was unable to wipe the grin from his face as well. He looked over to them and forced a wave, noticing that Ritsu seemed to be feeling a bit like he did around others; he could see it in his eyes. He blinked a little as he watched them pass, interested. He had never seen anyone as shy as he was, and he was beginning to wonder if it was all himself before.

As Shizuko and Sybil approached, MoogerMint smiled and waved back. "And hello to you as well!" she chirped. They didn't seem like a bad bunch at all, and she hoped that her harpy son would see this truth as well. She turned back to Lester and poked a thumb inland toward a tree none too far off, stating, "I'll be just over there. When you two are ready to leave, just call for me and we'll be off." She turned to head off, the two wolves trailing behind her before she stopped and turned around, a broad grin on her face. "Now you guys play nice, you hear?" she said before heading off again.

Hajari's head snapped back over to the current commotion, and gasped silently as he watched his mother head off a little ways away. Not again... he thought in despair, biting at his lip a bit. He heard Lester introduce him, and looked up at Shizuko and Sybil, smiling and waving from behind Lester. He sidestepped out and stood to Lester's side so the newcomers could see him better, and likewise so he could see them better. "Hello Sybil, hello Zuko," he squeaked, at the moment feeling very small, but tried not to show his nervousness. He took in a breath and held it steady, concentrating on holding still while he smiled invitingly.

Sybil leaned forward over Zuko's head, peering at Hajari. "What's wrong? Are you hiding?" she asked, and comically turned to look behind her, as though there were something following that she hadn't known about. She knew there wasn't, but maybe it would make him laugh.

Unfortunately, she turned a bit too much, and nearly unbalanced herself from Zuko's shoulders. She flailed a bit, her wings flapping behind her, and she wrapped a hand over Zuko's mouth to keep from falling.

"Whew!" she exclaimed, eyes wide and heart pounding. She'd never almost fallen like that before!


Alida and Ritsu sat at their chosen tree, and Alida gave her younger brother a good look over for signs of pinking skin. There were none, so she gave a sigh of releif. Then, she sat, and produced a book from somewhere inside the layers of clothing she wore, even in summer.

Ritsu sighed, and sat down himself, then lay back in the grass. It was comfortable here, too, though not as sunny. It was a good thing Alida had thought of sunburn, though, because he would have been a lobster by the time he'd woken up, otherwise.

Bad enough I'm a monkey... I wouldn't want to be a lobster, too... he thought, making a very very rare joke about his curse to himself.

Alida never got to open her book before she saw the adult break away from the group nearby, and head towards a tree. She waved, inviting the adult to come join them under their tree if she wanted.

Ritsu, on the other hand, greeted the arrival of another female with a bit of apprehension. He hoped she wasn't the hugging type, and then almost immediately felt bad. He had reason to worry, but he didn't want to slight someone he didn't even know. Why should she hug him? He was pathetic little Ritsu, and a stranger to boot.

He rolled over onto his side, pillowing his head on his crooked arm. He faced inward towards Alida and the direction the woman was coming from, and watched what would happen through the grass that rose in front of his arm and face.

Sybil obediently slid off the older demon's shoulders, and peered around him at the bird boy with a smile and a wave while she waited for an answer.


Avery saluted Aqua, as though she were his commanding officer, and then he charged back towards Alida and Ritsu. "Alida! I need goggles so I can talk to the fish!"

Alida looked at him quizzically. What...? she thought to herself. how would goggles help him....? Nevermind. It was Avery. And she didn't have any goggles.

So she sympathetically shrugged and shook her head. She hadn't thought to bring swimming gear on what was supposed to be a fishing trip.

Zuko raised an eyebrow slightly, kneeling down to be at eyelevel with Sybil and Lester. "You don't seem at all like the way Sere describes you." He said, poking Lester's shoulder with a grin.

Aqua couldn't get much sense out of the fish, though they certainly seemed interested in her. Mostly interested in swimming through her belly over and over. 'Hey, stoppit, that tickles!' She laughed, giggling as she rose slowly to the surface, her head breaking the water as she spouted a little out like a fountain.

Zuko blinked, but then started laughing, grinning at the other demon. "So true! I think the nicest she's described someone is 'too quiet, and never smiles.' Yeah, that's the most positive thing she's said about someone." He said, still grinning.
