Some of those are great, and had my sister and I laughing.
Some of them...not so much.
I have a few things I remember that I thought were kind of funny. *My sister helped with these memories*
We were away for pep band once, and some of the guys were making signs to support our basketball team. So they had a permanent marker. After we'd all gotten back on the bus (because we were outside, somewhere in the middle of this nowhere little town) our band director climbed onto the bus. He's like, "Is that a permanent marker? Well, pass it up here."
My friends and I are exchanging looks, wondering what's going on.
He took the lid off the marker and sniffed it in front of all of us. Great example.
Also, earlier that day, we'd had a 2 hour break between games. So we were trying to find something to do. This town was so small, that we wandered around Ace Hardware for an hour because there was nothing else.

This happened today. The Seniors and Juniors picked out 5 pieces of music that they conducted while the band director played her trumpet in the band that the rest of the band had to sight read. We go through the first couple. during the third a alto sax traded istruments with the percussion bells player. Throughout the who piece you could only hear squeaks and high pitch sounds coming from the sax section and random notes being hit in the percussion section. Those were the only instruments playing, the rest of the band was laughing so hard, including the director.

around halloween, a girl from our trumpet section took out a fake rat and put it on the conductor's stand while he was out of the room, talking to the clarinets. when he came back in, instead of being scared, he said " oh that's so cool!" then he went over and showed it to the choir teacher, who was in the room next to the band room. pretty soon, we heard a bunch of screams. then he went and showed it to some sixth grade girls outside the room having lunch. they screamed too. later, i found out that he had put it in a box with a tissue over it, then said "look at what the janitor found!" and tossed it at the person. we were all laughing.

My schools senior band is made up of a bunch of ppl who personality wise should be playing anything but what we actually play so it gets interesting.
This happens almost every practice. The clarinet section goes into rest positon but we hold our clarinets about 4 inches above our knees and then bring our knees up to the bell of the clarinet so it still rests on our knee. Well this bothered our Band master so much that other sections have caught on. so you walk into our band room during practice when the conductor is talking and everyone has their foot about 3/4 inches off the ground with the instrument on top.

Heh.I have so many of these.Now where should I start?
Well during band camp, we are allowed to go out to eat for lunch.And at that time, we only had a few people in our group of friends who could drive so we picked someone to drive and we piled like 8 people in their car.And one night a few weeks ago, I was with my girlfriend and i look back into the back seat and glance up at the window and see a couple set of hand prints on the window.I start thinking what we might have done to get hand prints on her window like that but nothings coming to mind and then it hits me.Those are from band camp!Cause one time it was me, my girlfriend, and like 4 others in the back seat.We had one of the guys laying on top of everyone else and he ended putting his hands on the window.Multiple times at that.
Another one.We normally go out to eat before every football/basketball game.One week we went to Pizza Hut and a couple of us stopped at Marathon and bought a couple bottles of Bawls before we got there and while we were waiting for our food, we were cracking jokes about each others Bawls and some old lady started yelling at us for being obscene.So Striff *one of my best friends* yelled back at her telling her we were talking about an energy drink.Needless to say we almost got kicked out that day.*We've been kicked out of like 2 places in town.And Kenton isn't exactly a big town*
Here's my last one for this post.The same day we got yelled at for talking about Bawls, my friend Seth had a AA battery and a couple pieces of wire with him and he was shocking people with 'em.So I took 'em away from him and a little while after that he smacked a fly onto the table and killed it.It was laying there for at least 5 minutes and didn't move at all.Well, I took the battery and wires out of my pocket and shocked the fly.A minute or so later, the fly flew away.So we were all freaking out cause we brought a fly back to life.
Oh!I just thought of this.So that last one wasn't my last.But this is.Last year we were one our way to a performance and someone threw a stuffed manatee at one of her friends that was sleeping.She woke up and went to throw the thing back at her but missed.And the seat behind her had their window opened and the manatee went right out the window.So now we have this running joke where we randomly start yelling "Free the manatees!!!".

One time our BD told us to play the end of a song in retardando and all these immature ppl made fun of it but yah it was pretty funny. lol

my band does so many dumb things its hard to keep track but lets see heres a few
we started doing what i consider one of the dumbest things ever cause we started just yelling man up and various guys who were doing stupid stuff
me and couple of my friends started rooting for the other team at football games and saying go start the bus(whole band really at home games) at away games we sound whiny and say let us leave(just us and a few people who are tired and want to go home if they hear what were doing)
before the playoff game for district champs(dont know how our crappy team got so far) they team was warming up and i was loud enough that people almost all the way down in the stands heard me say "We're gonna lose and we're gonna lose so bad." needless to say the all turned around to face me looking really pissed that i would say that but the week before we lost 28-0 on our field and it was band senior night too we lost most of our games and i was right too we did lose they had like 45 points and we had about 12

--when 5 friends and i did the robot out in the mall parking lot.
--when a sax player in my band did this dance cause he had to go to the bathroom, but ended up peeing in his uniform.
--The time a judge commented on our 2 ppl that pass out at the end of each and every show
--The time my band director started yelling out star wars quotes in the hallway, and we yelled an anwer back to him.
--Then there was the time when our 1st chair from last year played an octave above what he was supposed to. XDD
--and lastly [that im going to list] is when steven and i and this other dude whos gf is in our band came over from his college and played with us, then we all fracked and came in at the same time. XDDD

well im sorry tubas but i have to say this one...
about 2 years ago there was this really annoying tuba player in our class so when he was goofing off everyone else stopped playing and got in a huddle we all decided to put him in his case well he didnt nessecarilly(SP) fit so we sorta made him..the BD didnt notice until he went to give the kid a solo..it was hilarious
SORRY BD'S
this was recent...my BD decided he wanted to skateboard right next to the band room... theres this 1 foot wide strip of concret between the band room and an area of grass so he decides he wants to skate along there facing the wall..(well lets just say it didnt work out for him very well)...he hit a crack (going slow) and the skateboard stayed where it was..he went flying..too bad i didnt have a viedo camera..now every time hes on a skateboard everyones watching him to see if it happens again..
another BD one... my BD had gave someone his keys to look for a booklet of sheet music while he directed the rest of us that were just messin around after school..well when it came time to give him his keys back the kid almost gave them to him but pulled them away quickly..so he fianally gets 'em back right well the kids steals the keys again..well this went on for a while..until someone else finally stole the keys..thats when we played keep the keys away from Hernandez (the BD)...he started chasing everyone around the room..it got so bad he tripped over the piano bench and got a rug burn..everyone was laughing for a 1/2 hour..(that one you had to be there to be laughing that long) we felt so sorry for him we gave him his keys back..
i cant think of anymore recent ones..DARN IT!!

xx_killer_kisses_xx i had a really bad case of hiccups during class once. lets just say the clarinets were sounding a little staccito that day...... XDD that happened to me one day and then while we were couting off to start the song it was like one two ready HICCUP SQUEAK at the same time and everyone laughed even our conductor it was so funny cause out of no where and we were just about to play and squeakcup came out of no where

This one happened today:
We had a Symphony Band trip to the middle school so we could play for 6th and 7th graders. We played 3 concert tunes and some pep-band music. But when pep-band came up, we got to let once kid from the audience direct us. This kid was short. And I'm not just saying this because everyone else was but he was shorter than me and if I call him short...he has to be short. (I'm in 10th grade and I'm 5 foot). So he stepped up to the podium and my friend Brian was all like "I can't find him! Oh no! The tempo!". I found it kind of humorous.
Also the percussion section played a Percussion Soli at the end of our performance for the little percussion members and the whole class broke out in a dance. Then when it stopped, we all aw-ed.
I have alot from today. ALOT. We almost got left behind though..Me and 4 other people for lunch.
