fencerboy I suppose I should put my ship specs, eh? Type: K2 Basilisk War Droid Crew: Pilot Speed: 15,000km/h (and) 1.0past lightspeed Upgrades Armament: standard Basilisk Starfighter turbolaser(I'm drawing a blank on the "term") Engines: 4 Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-wing starfighter engines Shields: standard Basilisk Shields, plus rear-end shields of a lower grade(usually seen on A-wing starfighters) How did you fit the turbolaser generators on a fighter-class ship? You might mean laser cannons. What kind of weaponry would those be comparable to, since you're making your own? You also forgot to include the launchers for the proton torpedoes you used in your exercise. Also, with that kind of armament and shields, there's no way your ship could hit 1,500, let alone 15,000. I believe that the V-wing specs on Wookieepedia are flawed, if that's your source. Take a look at the A-wing's specs instead. It tops out at 1,300, and the X-wing's specs are consistent with that. I would recommend using those for comparison. If you do mean turbolaser, I'd be surprised if your ship could hit 1,000, even if you got rid of the shield generators. Sorry I'm being critical, I just don't like godmoding (if that wasn't a mistake). If it was a mistake, I'm sorry about pointing it out. By the way, you called my attention to a typo in my own specs. Mine tops out at 1,100 not 11,000

Euler fencerboy I suppose I should put my ship specs, eh? Type: K2 Basilisk War Droid Crew: Pilot Speed: 1,400km/h (and) 1.0past lightspeed Upgrades Armament: standard Basilisk Starfighter Laser Cannon, Four Proton torpedo launcers(I think they're tubes of some sort, but I'm unsure...)Engines: 4 Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-wing starfighter engines Shields: standard Basilisk Shields, plus rear-end shields of a lower grade(usually seen on A-wing starfighters) How did you fit the turbolaser generators on a fighter-class ship? Mine tops out at 1,100 not 11,000 okay, I admit there were some faults. I was very tired(having slept for MAYBE and hour last night), and yes, I forgot the proton torpedo launchers, and yes I forgot the difference between turbolaser and laser cannon. sorry. jeez. gosh. gimme a break. just ya. and (cough) I put 1 too many zeros, sorry. gimme a break, I've given reasons above. I meant to hit the four. Oh one last thing, I do believe you are forgetting the fact that this is a god dammed Basilisk War Droid, they were designed(atleast, the K2 were) to go in fast, heavy, and murderous (manic laughter) these were made to take (without shields, here) five, full-power turbolaser(yes, turbolaser, not laser cannon) front on. the back is a bit weaker...(it might take one hit) The engines don't need much power, they just let gravity do its job... They're comparable to that of the *has trouble remembering* I can't remember the name, but it was from just before the YV war...i ll think of it...

I might have to supply you with parts from my stockpile, if we both get accepted. Ion Cannon's nice though.
What do you mean when you say that the gadgets would get you killed?

In a dogfight, having too many options can be just as bad as not enough. Who cares if you have ion cannons, proton torpedoes, concusion missiles, cluster missiles, and bombs, if you can't choose which one to use and you get killed in the meantime. And who cares if you have the best engines if you can't handle the speed, or if your ship can't handle the speed. The better the equipment the more problems you can have. Better to have something you are familiar with, then something that is hard to handle.

"Alright, new recruits, front and center," Lystra's voice crackled over the comlink as he flew his TIE over the base.

"Copy, lead. Let's have some fun." Lysander finished some minor adjustments to the booster system and jumped into the Super. He closed the cockpit and, after RJ had performed a quick avionics check, gunned the throttle out of the hangar. As he pulled up deside Lystra's TIE, the dark blue and black X-Wing made quite an impresson. The Rebellion crest on either side of the cockpit was freshly branded, replacing the Blazing Claw that Zick had once flown under. He breathed deeply; this was his element.
OOC: Just to let everyone know, the biggest strength of my ship is Lysander's Force-sensitivity. All Korunnai are born with some connection to the Force, and it's a big part of his piloting skills.

"Impressive ship, are you ready to make your run?" Lystra chuckled in his cockpit as he looked at the X-Wing. He rolled onto one panel and shot towards the Trough with suprising speed, even for a TIE Interceptor. Once there, the red of his fighter acted as signal for Lysasnder to find the training grounds.

Lysander flipped down the mirrored visor on his helmet, which still bore the traditional Blazing Claw. "Ready to show them what we can do, RJ?" He got a couple of cheerful-sounding beeps and whistles in response. Gripping the dual constol sticks tightly, he punched his throttle pedal and shot into the trench.

Kozun flipped a couple switches in his cockpit then opened a comline with Lysander, "I'm going to give you a choice, you can make the trench run or you can dogfight me. Your choice."

Lead, this is Doruk. Sorry i'm late, now i choose the trench run. Sounds like more fun then getting shot to pieces by a veterin pilot.

"All right, lead, I'll take that challenge." Oh, man, thought Lysander, I'm in for it now. Oh well, here goes nothing. "Last man with shields wins? You just show me the arena."
OOC: This should be fun to RP
