Kechara's smile widened, "I was just about to say I'd be fine if we went slow." She answered, laughing softly. They made their way through the trees, Kechara making sure they they were moving at just the right pace for her leg. Finally, after much inner debate, involving several bouts of crimson cheeks, she asked a question, "Um...Briar?" She glanced back at him nervously, "Do your horns taste....well, good?" She looked away quickly.
She had heard once that a male numa's horns tasted different flavors of foods and candy and she had never had the nerve (or even if someone would associate long enough with her for her to do such a thing) to ask a question that seemed so personal.

Briar made sure he kept a slow pace, checking on Kechara to see if his pace was too fast for her. A few times, he caught a blush staining her cheeks and wondered what she was thinking about when she popped a question. He blinked a few times as he thought about it. "You know, I don't really know," he answered. "I've never actually tasted my own horns." He looked up. "I don't think my tongue can even reach my horns.

Kechara grinned despite herself (and the blush that clung determinedly to her face), "I would think so, as far as I know, only Ryuune has a long tongue." She pressed a paw to her chin looking decidedly sly, "Which he likes to implement a bit." She smiled, "But I don't think even he can reach his horns." She flushed crimson again and stopped abruptly, turning and standing on her toes to lick one of his horns. She justifyed herself to the tiny voice screaming in her head that Briar was her mate, and she was allowed to do it.

"Do I want to ask about how he implements his tongue?" Briar asked with a look of uncertainty. He choked on anymore words, eyes widening slightly as he felt Kechara suddenly lick his horn. He blushed darkly as he stared at her. "W-Well, how does it taste?"

Kechara stepped back, blushing herself at how she could have possibly done such a thing, "Well..." She began thoughtfully, "It tastes a bit like..." She tilted her head, "A bit like a cherry." She grinned despite herself and moved forward, glancing back at him, "To answer your question about Ryuune, you probably don't. We'll just say he and Mysidia had a lot of fun together." She winked at him and continued on.
After a bit she paused, tapping a talon against her chin, "Talking about Ryuune reminded me of something." She said, focused on her thoughts, "There are these really good fruits he gave me once, they're really good, but I don't even know if they're ripe around this time."

"A cherry, huh?" Briar said, grinning at this new information about himself. He hadn't really thought about what his horns tasted like, never really had much of a reason to wonder about it. He twinged a little at her answer about Ryuune and decided it was probably good that he didn't know.
"Oh?" Briar asked, brightening. "Do you remember where Ryuune found them? Perhaps we can look for them."

Kechara shook her head, "No, he brought them home if I recall correctly." She replied morosely, she really didn't recall where he had gotten them, or even if he had said where he had gotten the fruits. She sighed, "I guess it was a stupid idea anyway." She mumbled, rubbing the back of her neck, embarrassed, "I'm sorry." She glanced back at him, "Do you have any ideas?" She asked hesitantly. She blinked once and automatically lifted a paw to brush the hair out of his face, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"It wasn't a stupid idea," Briar argued, blushing as she pushed the hair out of his eyes. "Even if you don't where they are, we can still look around and try to find them." He grinned at her. "I'd like to try them sometime."

Kechara flushed her own shade of pink at the sight of his own blush, "Ah..." She looked away quickly, dropping her paw to her side.
She blinked at him and nodded once, finding herself unable to speak. She turned and walked a bit more, glancing about curiously. She scented the air just in case, but didn't smell anything particularly sweet-smeliing, well, except for Briar, but she wasn't going to say anything about that. "I wonder..." She mumbled absently to herself, "Do they grow from trees? Or on bushes? Or in the ground?"

Briar was almost disappointed when Kechara pulled her paw away. He glanced around the forest they were in. Trees grew everywhere with some bushes along the side of the path with flowers dotted about. "I suppose they could be anywhere," he said.

Kechara pursed her lips thoughtfully, "Well," She began, "It's about this big--" Her example was hindered by the addition of a red paw. She flushed a pink, "Um..." She had no intention of releasing his paw so she proceeded anyway, "--This big," she made as big of a shape as she could with her paws, "But that was only three of them, the rest were smaller."
She tilted her head to the side, imagining the fruit, "I think it would grow on a tree." She said finally, nodding slightly, "It's too big to be on a bush and not a good shape for being in the ground." She tilted her head toward him, "What do you think?"

Briar listened as Kechara explained the size of the fruit she had previously mentioned. "Hm," he said thoughtfully, "I think you might be right." Based on her description of size and her reasoning of why she thought it would grow on a tree, Briar had to agree it made the most sense that the fruit grew in trees.

Kechara nodded, "So, we should look in the trees." She stated calmly, and mentally smacked herself, how obvious was that answer? She shook her head, "Let's go look for it then," She said, glancing about. The silence lengthened, becoming increasingly awkward. What could she say to end it?

Briar nodded in agreement to Kechara's statement. They walked along, looking in the trees of the forest for the fruit they sought. "So," Briar said, breaking the silence that had fallen over them, "what exactly does it look like? You told me the size. But what about the shape? Or the color?"

Kechara flamed crimson, "W-well, um, the color varies, they can really be any color..." She kept her face turned away, not wanting to show her embarrassment, "Red, yellow, light blue...any color of the rainbow." She explained softly.
She continued walking and glancing up at the trees occasionally, "But the shape...." Her cheeks heated again, "Well, it varies between a star...and a heart..." She continued quickly, "B-but the flavors vary too, like the red ones are cherry and the blue are blueberry and yellow are lemon---" She rambled on, hoping he hadn't heard her admit the second shape.
