Lovey cocked her head, he seemed almost amused with the question she had asked and at her assumption of herd leader.. All well, sometimes she jumped to the wrong conclusion. But then again, who didn't jump to the wrong conclusion every now and again? The more she thought about it the more she hoped to be able to join another herd. She wasn't willing to take orders nor was she particularly looking for a job, but what did that say about her? She wasn't unwilling to work, it's just her level of tolerance for most mares and stallions still wasn't high enough to put up with hard-headed stubborness or stupidity.
"Wonderful! I ought to be able to move quick enough.. I was gifted with strong legs at least..." She chuckled lightly and grinned up at him, her mood was definately a high one. "Bah Grencia! Don't go back into that over-stuffed polite shell now that I've seen how friendly you can be."
Lovey had a sudden idea as to why Grencia decided partially to join the herd and that was for one simple reason and word. Yei. He was watching over her and taking care of his other herd all at the same time. Oh the pain his wings must be in from time to time trying to go back and forther between one to the others and hunting down the bad-guy he sought. "You're smiling again, it must be a pleasant thought that has your mind?"
"Blais... I.. think I've met him before.. albeit for a short time.. he's a painted stallion, no?" She frowned a bit in concentration it had been a brief encounter she was thinking with accompanied by a weirdly behaved white stallion in full armor.

The grin couldn't possibly get any wider and Grencia's ideas positively twinkled. He was unsurprised to have heard that Crousador and Blais were in one another's company again, the white wind seemed to have a very good influence on the young stallion in question - more to the point, he was rather glad she had met them.
"Yes, he is indeed a paint." Grencia responded, his voice wavering with amusement as he recalled the antics of the stallion. If anything, that stallion was more of a handful than a foal could be sometimes.
"Both reside in the Islagiatt lands, Crousador is his mentor and like me...came from a distant land - I trust they were pleasant to you, if a little forward in some things?"

Lovey grinned back at him, his amusement was rather infectios. She scanned her mind to remember the meeting and it came back carefully albeit a bit slower than she appreciated. "I'm afraid my friend that your definition of pleasant would have to be a bit off key to say they were both pleasant to me." She shifted and knew she had to tread lightly. It seemed that he liked both of the stallions and while neither had been exactly rude she was sure she wasn't invited to have a chat sometime.
"Well.. Blais was friendly enough, I happened upon them when they had been training so both were a bit worn out I'm thinking.." She mulled her thoughts over a bit, "Yes.. Blais just looked incredibly uncomfortable to be speaking with me. Kinda like standing under a very hot light.."
Crousador had been another story... "I'm afraid that Crousador looked at me with something akin to.. oh I don't know.. black hatred?" She shrugged delicately, "He's been hurt in the past would be my guess.. don't worry I didn't take offense it was just a surprise."

"Ah." Surprisingly, Grencia wasn't offended and looked more understanding than anything else. He had heard from those around him (mostly his herd) that Crous didn't like the company of females for the simple reason that thy were...problematic? Or at least they had caused him a great deal of suffering in the past - it was not for Grencia to say.
"Perhaps it was because you are female, Blais is usually very boisterous but you may have transformed him into a shy colt!" He teased dutifully, shaking his head a little at the prospect...it seemed almost otherworldly.
"I can assure you that Blais will be more welcoming in the future, although if he does act so uncomfortable again he may be the ideal target for my teasing..."

Lovey shrugged it off and grinned up at Grencia, "Tis no bother of mine though, if the stallion wasn't in the mood for my company than I'm afraid it's going to simply have t be his loss!" She giggled a bit and bowed her head as if she thought she were the most magnificent creature. Oi.. what nonsense!
"A shy colt? Hmm... I believe those two words do not go together or I'm finding all the wrong colts. The ones I've stumbled upon tend to.. make their presense known at all costs." She chuckled and smiled softly, children, even those that chewed your mane and called you over-stuffed were cute.
"Grencia and teasing? Oh-hoo I think that I might just enjoy watching.. although I think I'll skip being on the recieving end of it all."

"Rather not be on the receiving end, eh?" Grencia ruffled his feathers slightly to rid himself of an itch and crept closer. His eyes twinkled in a conspiratorial fashion and he leant forward - just enough so that his muzzle was an inch or so from hers.
"What say you to being a part of it then?" He enquired. He looked positively devilish as he spoke the words and it was quite clear that for all his manners, this stallion knew how to pull a prank. The only difference was, due to his more mature nature, he knew how to time it so that the impact was...perfect?
"You would have to be a fantastic actress though!"

Lovey giggled and sobered slowly, Grencia seemed just the devious sort to know what to do, who to, and how. She winked up at him and feigned horror, "A prank? Oh.. but whoever could it be on?" Her silliness won over and she began to giggle.
Lovey closed the gap between them but only by about a 1/2 of an inch.. leaving basically another half inch of air between them. She snorted lightly and grinned once again..
"What have you got in mind?"

"Well...for this little treasure hunt." He cleared his throat, the twinkle in his eyes seemingly brighter than before. "I desire to play a little trick on Blais. I for one find it positively hilarious that he could be so shy so really..." He hesitated for a few moments before releasing a chuckle and giving a slight toss of his mane.
"He will be present during the treasure hunt but while you may desire to hunt for feathers I would rather you..." Again he hesitated, arching a brow in an almost imperial manner. "I would rather you went after him and feigned a terrible amount of interest in him. Eventually he shall crack and when he does I will point out that he clearly is not the ladies man he thought he was."
"If you do that I suspect it will also lighten the mood between the pair of you considerably."

Lovey's bright green eyes began to twinkle with mischief, "oooh.. so I'll fall MADLY in love with him?" She giggled lightly and tried let her face void of all emotion.
Lovey ducked her head and blinked up at him through coquettish eyes, "I don't know if I can do that.. you see.. I'm rather fond of you Gren." She began slowly to wind around him, much like a cat. Lovey kept her eyes dark and filled with just a hint of lust. She had played games before and had acted, this was nothing new. After finishing her slow-wind around him she tapped him on the nose and burst into giggles, "Well.. do you think I could make him twitch?"
She pondered for a moment, "He seems nice enough.. that white stallion I think is helping him out or something.. but this sounds like a blast.."

Grencia arched a brow at Lovey's skills. He had been expecting something, but he had never anticipated that she would be that good. He couldn't help but allow the smile to clamber onto his lips and he gave a brief whicker. It was one of appreciation and with a small bob of his head he seemed to confirm that it was exactly what he was after.
"Truly." He took one step towards her.
"Madly." He blew warm air on her muzzle, his eyes seeming to darken. She wasn't the only one who could act. As a 'reformed rake' he was rather skilled at the art of feigning interest, he just never abused it any more.
"Deeply." He finished, answering her question in the most sultry tone he could muster. Nevertheless, having said that his façade broke and he promptly began to chuckle, the sound rumbling deep in his throat - ah how it amused him that he used to take that so seriously.
"I think you will do splendidly and the reaction should be priceless...provided you do not laugh like you just did."

She calmed a bit and grinned up at Grencia, he was a fun friend to keep around. Already she had a feeling that the little trick that they could play on Blais would be well-worth the pain of holding back laughter. She had no experiance WITH stallions but that wasn't to say she hadn't watched how the game was played.
She held her ground.
Her own nostrils flared and she managed to hold back a giggle. He was rather convincing, but she liked the sweeter Grencia much better.
Giving in and laughing with him was fun, "Oh.. I can hold my laughter I just didn't think it'd be fair to your poor heart if I led you on for TOO long.. You might completely lose all common sense."

"Ah, M'lady you are truly in possession of many admirable qualities." Grencia replied wistfully, returning to his normal self as he canted his head to the side and gave a whicker. Even now, his head was a mass of ideas - some ideas he could do himself but there were others he was so terribly curious about.
...He would have to try them out later.
"Alas, I think that perhaps it is time I left to state my case to the herd. If we are to have visitors I suspect they will want to be prepared." He looked dubious as though the concept of a herd spring cleaning was rather amusing. "And it will perhaps be a good idea for you to gather up your friends - yes?" He continued.
He suspected this event could be rather fun.
"I'll also remember that search party." He added as an after thought.

(*laziest ending ever*)
"Aye Aye Sir! I shall see you in three days time then!" With that she bobbed her goodbye and began her journey... I long trudge.
