" Oh. There was always a ton of people around me." Riley said. She shrugged her slender shoulders again. She noticed something out of the corner of her eye. A piano...A beautiful piano...With carvings...The young woman instantly fell in love with the huge instrument.
" Sir...Do you play?" She asked, straying from the group. Her lithe fingers gently touched the polished surface.

Mialkior smiled, "i do play a bit, i'm quite partial to Beethoven's works and i like to think i play them well..." he slowly walked up behind her and put his hand on her shoulder, "what about you, Miss Riley? do you play at all? i would be honored if you'd grace my piano and everyone here with a song."

Riley stiffled a gasp as his cold hand was upon her shoulder. Glancing back at him she smiled and nodded.
" That I can do." The young redhead moved away from him and gracefully sat upon the piano bench. She began to play a kind of sad melody...And then...Her voice began to sing,
" When the cold of winter comes...Starless night will cover day. In the veiling of the Sun, we will walk in bitter rain...But in Dreams....I can hear your name...And in Dreams we weill meet again."

he closed his eyes and smiled, ...like a siren, she pulls me in...a pure voice that could melt even the coldest heart...
gently, in a motion that was barely detectable, he swayed slowly to the music. ...the young lass surely has talent...good to see good music hasn't died in these many years...

Riley finished the song. Her cheeks blazing red from blushing. She smiled at the rest of the group and at Malkior.
" Well...I'm not very good...But that was one of my best." She said softly. Gracefully Riley stood and moved away from the piano. The young woman found herself next to Malkior.

"Good song"he said to her."I thought it was very good.Its a beautiful paino."he said inspecting the carvings"It sounds a note flat,But its beautiful works men ship"he said looking back at the man"Who made it?See im in to making things out of wood and these carvings I've never seen.Is it from.....the 18th century?"he asked

he clapped slowly ad smiled, "not good? Miss Riley, do not sell yourself so short! it was a marvelous piece that moved the heart." he slid his foot back in a bow and lightly kissed her hand, " your talent matches your beauty, Miss Riley, you should be very proud of your gift." he truly enjoyed it, it had been so long since he had heard anything like that, it was a welcome change.
he smirked at the young man, "yes, indeed it is. my great grandfather made it, it has been in my family for generations." in truth, his father had made it. it wasn't quite as old as the house, but a year older than himself.

Riley was startled by the kiss to her hand. She smiled and said politely,
" Thank you sir." Her cheeks again had that delicate rose blush. If her hair was little longer and put up in a victorian style, Riley could look like she'd just come from that time frame.

"huh...ah, yes, forgive me...it's been so long ago, who made it always get's mixed up in the stories. it was indeed my great great gradfather..." he paused, "in fact, my great grandfather, grandfather and my father were all skilled craftsmen...unfortunately, i was too rebellious to sit down and learn the trade myself..." he sighed and traced his fingers absentmindedly around the carvings, "...i do wish i had learned, now..."
he smiled at Riley, "...no thanks needed, Miss Riley, i only spoke the truth..."
he sighed with pleasure as he felt a new energy rush through him, ...one of those fools i locked up finally looked into the mirrows...about time... color returned to his cheeks and a new light returned to his eyes as his 'life' was slightly replentished.

" Personally...I just like the piano. Its well tuned and perfect for me. Maybe I can come back sometime...and Play for you." Riley said. She held her head high and looking straight into his eyes...Almost challenging him.

is brown eyes sparkled with the new 'life' that flowed within him, "that would be lovely, Miss Riley...i believe i'd enjoy that a lot..."
his mouth curled in a friendly smile, ...a strong young lass...incredible for this day and age...
"as for learning how to make these carvings and objects...i believe i am yet still too restless to sit and learn anything so tedious..." he smirked, "young arrogance never quite dies, you know."
