Silvie dashed around a tree and slowed down, having reached a clearing. "Here it is!" She shouted at Heartbreak, who was somewhere, and sat by a berry bush with purple berries. "I think they're okay to eat, since they smell good. Do you know what kind they are?"

"Yes, tic tac toe sounds good."
That was a nice, fun, and calm game. Much better than something hyper, like tag. Tag was a game he despised.
Rina was glad when the other pup finally stopped. She was out of breath, never having run that much before in her life. She simply collapsed near the bush, panting for breath, too winded to talk.

"Okay." Toki said as she drew a board in the dirt. She giggled. "do you want to be X or O?"

Now that Ari knew the strategy of the game more, it saddened him that the open spaces weren't the best places to put your marks. But he could still keep his Os, at least.

"Okay. I'll be X then. Do you want to go first?" She wondered where she would go firt. That was always the biggest problem in tic tack toe.

He hated the best opening spot, but he still put his O right in the middle, where it was the most closed in. But now all of his other moves would be more free, and that was good.

Heartbreak stopped in front of the berry bush, panting slightly. She examined the berries closely, taking a sniff at them once in a while.
Finally, she glanced at the two kits, particualarly at Silvie. "I don't know what kind of berries they are, but they smell fine." To show this, Heartbreak cautiously nibbled a berry off a branch. "And it tastes fine too."

Ari marked his next O right above her X. He was glad that an open space such as that one was also a good next move.
"Now it is your turn."
Now that she had recovered slightly, Rina approached the bush. She didn't know what sort of berries they were, but Heartbreak seemed to be fine after eating them, so Rina cautiously ate one of them, too. She was rather hungry, having gone all day without eating yet.

"Okay." Toki marked her X in the left bottom corner bloaking Ari-kun from winning.
Ichigo walked by Heartbreak Rina and the new kit. As he did he wagged his tail back and forth.

Ari made his mark in the upper left corner, one of the two most open spaces left. Seeing the marks trapped on the board made Ari a little sad.
"Now it is your turn."
"Hello, Ichigo." Rina greeted him, her mouth full of berries. They tasted really good, and she was really hungry. Hopefully they weren't anything bad for her.

Heartbreak swallowed the berry and munched some more off the bush. She didn't eat anything today, even if a meal of berries wasn't very filling.
She turned around when Rina greeted Ichigo. Heartbreak nodded a hello and went back to eating berries.

Ari marked his O in the lower right corner, the last open space left.
"I believe I win?" he asked, pointing to the diagonal row of Os on the board.
"She is Heartbreak, and she is Silvie," Rina pointed to the adult and pup in turn with her tail.
"I am not sure if they are my friends yet...But I would like them to be."
Heartbreak, now that she was away from people like Cerus, who said stupid things and only made the situation worse, seemed a lot calmer and nicer.
