"Tch!"

Tadashi dived out of the way, but he didn't exactly leave himself wide open. His hand shot out, and he caught the arrow--with his cigarette. His cigarette, which somehow stopped the arrow.

Rolling to his feet, he took a drag, taking care not to stab himself in the face. "Blech."

So now it was Athan coming? Fine. Come get it. Puffing out his cheeks, he spat a super-condensed ball of smoke at the swordsman's center, and the smoke flew at him with the force and cohesiveness of a bullet.

[Uneditted--Tadashi must die last.]

((Posting without concern for any order, since Minxi and I now have our own little order, really. S'just us two now.))

He'd hit the ground, his the massive green blade dissapearing as he whirled about, making sure his back hit the ground. It seemed the platform had taken no damage from the blade- but there was a visible mark where the two forms of energy had connected. Stryphe'd felt the resistance the two powers, whatever made up this platform, and Stryphe's own energy, had created when coming into contact. The result was a long, darkened scar in the platform, very warm to the touch.

The massive energy glaive dispersed rapidly as he fell that last few feet- he didn't like having it around for very long because, while devastating, that form of the weapon was akward.

And so he'd land, the glowing green, thick, smoke-like substance ceased flowing from his eyes. From the outside, it appeared he'd returned to normal. This was not so- he was still changed, enhanced, by the power of the marbles and the power James had sacrificed.

"You," He called to the woman as he calmy rose to his feet, "what exactly is your purpose in a place like this?"

He didn't bother asking for her to specify where 'this' was. Why she was here, he'd assumed, would hopefully clear that up.

He apparently had no concern the others that were showing up- he noticed them, of course. He even recognized maybe a could as hold friends, or at least aquaintances. But this world they were all coming to was a place where they shouldn't be. So, instead of bothering with the people coming in, he only focused on giving everyone a reason not to be here.

And that meant figuring out just what the hell these three were really up to and, if need be, dispose of them.

Hiroshi climbed to his feet, brushing off his legs with his left hand. His eyes met Rage's, and his mouth set into a frown.

"I have lived my life as a samurai, and as a samurai, I have no regrets. I did what I had to, and a true warrior knows what that means." He slid the right side of his kimono off his shoulder, switching sword hands. Stretching the arm out, he cracked his neck. "If you question my methods, than you clearly have no understanding of the warrior's way." He freed his left arm in similar fashion. Now he had full mobility.

And an exposed stomach.

He fell to his knees, his katana sliding into its sheath and his wakizashi coming out. It wasn't a tanto, but it would do. He lived by his heart, by his choosing, and now he would die by his choosing.

A thrust to his stomach. He felt his muscles clench up, and that just made the pain worse. A slit across the belly.... slowly now, let it all come out. And a vertical slit. He could feel his intestines begin to bleed out. His soul was falling out of his belly.

He looked up at Rage. Rage may have scorned him, but the man was kenshi--perhaps he would give Hiroshi one final mercy.

Perhaps he would be Hiroshi's second?

"I want to go home!" It was a simple enough of a statement. "This...GAIA....is not my place...!" She held the crop up as a weapon, strangely enough; as she stood. Even in her now rumpled uniform, she was simply a woman who wanted to go home.

"Power to go home. That was all we sought." She wasn't a woman given to emotions so there were no tears or pleas. She was proud, and she believed in what she stood for. She had the power to go home, and she would use it.

Owle Isohos
"Hey, James! Who do I attack!"

"RrrrrrrrrrSHIT!"

The door of the wreck creaked open and James fell out onto his hands and knees on the ground. He coughed a splatter of blood on the ground, leaving a dribble upon his lower lip even as he pushed himself back up.

"These guys are ******** up our world!"

His head was spinning and there was a ringing in his ears... several consecutive car crashes really started to wear on a guy. Added to all his other injuries in the last couple of days and the way that he had poured out most everything he had left into Stryphe just a minute ago... he was running on empty.

"Don't let them get out of here! Tadashiiiiiiiiiiiii!"

His knees pulled up under him, and he forced himself to his feet; weakly reaching for the knife at the back of his belt and pulling it free as he ran waveringly towards the smoker.

The eyes of the two warriors met, and Rage suddenly saw everything that Hiroshi had. And he simply knew.

It was the sort of bond that was carried by brothers of the blade, even though they had just met. A few days ago was their first meeting.

Today... would be their last. Rage nodded, quietly saying "I understand now. Thank you for your kind teachings, master."

He rose.

He ran.

Blood split the air.

"Thank you," said Rage, kneeling once again and clicking his katana back into place.

Hiroshi fell.

And Rage stood up, looking at where the man lay. "You did not deserve a death by hands such as mine...."

Perhaps he should retrieve their weapons, though... as a memorial. They would receive a place of honor in the Firebrand when this was all over with....

Disa would draw another arrow and notch it, pulling the string back she would take aim at Tadashi again and... wait... for a clear shot... since people were running at him.

Athan wasn't moving for anyone. Not for security guards, not for a mech with a flaming sword and missles, not for a wall of angry Greeks...and especially not for a a super condensed puff of smoke.

His left arm, which was all the way across his body, felt a slight scratch as the bullet went past him. Since he was leading with his left shoulder forward slightly, the smoke bullet didn't hit him dead center. Although it did shoot through his body, leaving a spurt of blood as the only indication that it was there. Athan stumbled, blood seeped from his mouth, and a little gurgle sounded from his lips.

Punctured lung?

Check.

ANGR?

Double check.

Athan shoutgurgled, sword coming up directly over his head as he finally closed in on Tadashi. No quarter, nothing was going to stop him now. Nobody used him, whether it was true or not, Athan had come to believe that this man was part of that scheme. So he'd be dealt with accordingly.

He also shot him with a puff of smoke, which was enough to warrant the following less-than-fantastic potentially mortal blow.

And the sword would come crashing down. Nothing flashy, no special effects or montages. Athan would simply drive that heavy, club-like sword through Tadashi's skull and all the way through his body. And with as much momentum as he had, Athan would probably go down with the sword, clutching his chest in the process.

Breathing blood was never a good thing.

Hiroshi just...killed himself in front of her. Owle stared at him, wide-eyed, disbelieving. Why? Why would he...?

"These guys are ******** up our world!"

And James' voice snapped her out of it, forcing her attention to him.

Owle was in pain. She had a broken wing and a broken shoulder. But she had gotten a nice, long rest in a birdhouse not too long ago, so she still had plenty of energy left in her.

Plenty of fight.

So Owle defaulted to what she always did. Running at Tadashi from the opposite direction as James, Owle would summon the False Blade to her hand.

And at the last second before she entered his melee range, she would leap, shifting into a ball of scales; the runic knife she held would become a single spike, just for insurance. She was aimed for his upper body, around the height of his shoulders. If the spike missed, hopefully her weight would at least push him into James' attack.

He shouldered his halberd, looking more sympathetic than anything else.

"Listen, Lady," He began, shouldering his halberd and taking a couple very non-threatening but not-quite-friendly steps towards her. He looked more like a hostage negotiator trying to get in touch with the criminal so that something sneaky could be performed.

Despite the suspicious look about him, his eyes trying to hide their condescending, disgusted gaze, softened for a second.

"I know what it's like to want something you once had- you're willing to sacrifice a lot of things for it- but whatever it is you're doing here, it's wro-"

The hell was he doing telling someone that something they were doing is wrong?

"Alright, cut the s**t because, right now, you're one step closer to your grave than anything else.

His little speech ended with his left index finger pointing threateningly at the woman. He blinked once- when his eyes opened, they were once filled with the essence that signaled the summoning of his demonic power.

"You just want to go home," He growled as a needle-like, dark green barb protruded from the nothingness just half a centimeter from his finger. It was the size of an arrow, and it crackled and vibrated, just itching to be released into the world. Into the woman- energy wanted nothing more than to be transfered.

"But you're being manipulated. Are you ready to die for that purpose? That purpose you'll never know because you blindly played along until your very end. A puppet."

The fact that she'd responded with her desperate need to get home, and the fact that she just didn't fit the ringleader bill, led Stryphe to the conclusion that she'd been mislead. If he was right, he'd hoped that it might have some effect on her. He wouldn't kill her if he didn't have to.

If he was wrong, she'd probably do the standard bad-girl thing and laugh at him. Which came hand in hand with death.

And into-- whatever the hell this was supposed to be, would enter Vahn.

The feeling was weird, almost the same as in PoC... when he'd been entered into that void area. This feeling of nothingness yet all--- as if Vahn were touching upon the surface of the source wall itself. "Jesus christ---- it's the Twilight Zone!"

However there was no time to think about any of it... he was riding his Fang downward, seeing nothing but bodies, blood and death happening. OWLE?!!

Talk about your ******** didn't even know who the hell to attack let alone what was going on. But that rush from his marble was finally getting to his head. His teeth were gritted and his veins stood out on his neck.

"JUUUUUUUUSTICE-----"

He'd come down, legs tucked and knees bent in the same downward roll that he had used to try and cleave that hairball thing a while ago.

Except this time he had a whole lot of momentum and gravity helping him out.

So as he spun, he only added to said momentum, the flaming flamberge giving his entire body a spinning saw-like appearance.

"--WHEEL!!!"

It was with this that he'd come crashing down into the mess below, sundering the unfortunate person to be under his landing arc.

Which apparently happened to be where that smoking dude was, and Where Athan stood.

The resulting impact was enough to send flames in a large radius (maybe enough to cover the disk?) around Vahn, with 3 times the force that had been used to doom a certain dam in PoC, as Efreet's Fang released all it's charges at once (which would result in the weapon reverting to its normal rapier form automatically). Anyone around would be blown back from the sudden gust of heat/wind, while Tadashi...well. Yea.

This was due to the power built up in said freefall.

((Taking over for opaj; lumping Vahn and Eileen in with Owle, Rage, Athan and co.

Editted for Vahn.))

Tadashi moved, as fast as he possibly could, towards the side James was approaching from, which was fast enough to keep his skull from being crushed. The greatsword would sail down, clipping his ear, and cleaving his arm off at the shoulder.

Owle's ball would impact the bloody stump, causing him to go staggering towards James.

With his one good hand, he would raise his cigarette, as Vahn came whirling down in his mass of fire and death. The flaming blade would touch the cigarette, and then...

Nothing.

The blade would be brought to a screeching halt right there, against Tadashi's cigarette, the fire and heat sucked into the tiny thing. And one dismissive motion would see him flick his hand, tossing Vahn off to one side.

After all, Tadashi could see through the very threads that could connect this universe. Nothing could surprise him, nothing could sneak up upon him; the only way to defeat him was to not give him time to react.
