Personally, I prefer Slipknot to Stone Sour. However, Stone Sour is a good release when wanting a break from Slipknot's tribal drums and screaming. If I remember correctly, Stone Sour was formed before Slipknot, but that means little. At any rate, Corey Taylor has a pretty extensive fanbase because of his diversity, and will and ability to sing until his very lungs give. cool

I personaly like both I mean Corey Taylor has split personalites so Stone Sour is nice to hear something a little on the softer side...but when you want hardcore Slipknot!!!

Ok.. so I am in agreement with those of you who say both have their own unique qualities because they do. I guess for me, who I listen to dependson the mood I am in.
