-Heh, i cant even find manga around here, and anime is just as scarse ...
-I draw manga style and i always get stupid comments like "what are you drawing" and "omg youre a perv" cuz well its manga style, and i also drew a few manga layout comics in school, and whenever someone asked "why did you draw it backwards?" i just said "cuz i like it that way" ...
they dont need to know anything .... xD

Some of my friends have shouted that out so many times it's not even funny. xp The ones that are oblivious to the differences between other cultures, it's hard to get them to shut up about it xp

"Whoa why is it backwards?!" "Why are their eyes so big?" "Why are there only girls?...WHAT?! Those are guys?!" among others.
I'm not really mad about it when it happens and I tell them what they ask. When I REALLY get annoyed is when it's guys only asking because they're trying to get my attention and talk to them for their own benefit.
If it drags on too long I just trail off and pretend to be focussed on other things and give short replies. Eventually people get the hint so I can go back to reading.

i agree, its so annoying. especially when one person in my class asks then the whole class gets involved with the stupid act of " omg someones reading a strange book, lets all crowd around because we want to bug her." afterwards they all sit there with the look of " why would she wanna read that?" and i just wanna strangle them sometimes.

It gets VERY annoying... I can't begin to tell you... Even my family doesn't understand this obsession I have with Manga, Anime, and Japan and it kinda hurts... When ever I try to have a conversation with them, my siblings tell me to Shut-up... and I don't go on and on, they just seem to forget about other stuff I talk about and single out the Anime/Manga... When I'm reading Manga their all like "Why did you waste your money one that?" It hurts alot...

In my experience it's always narrow minded dumb asses who give me the most trouble in this area, honestly if it's not sport related they practically deem it as a threat to their existence stare I digress, it's just never really come as much of a surprise to me that the stupid people outnumber us and probably always will.

Tylenol pm eating contest... usualy when i bring manga to school i get "hey chris why are you reading porn in school?" one time my teacher took it away and said that this wasnt age appropriate and that i could get in trouble for bringing this to school, im 15 and i was reading a ******** shonen jump, even after showing him the age advisory i had to let him flip through it ...Winner wakes up in my closet.

hard core teachers.................... everyone always comes to me saying whats that? why is it backwards? how can read that? can you draw like that? whats it about? can i borrow it? annoying

People get super confused with manga because it is 'backwards'.
The only time I was confused with reading a manga was when my Shonen Jump DBZ section was printed in there in reverse order and backwards...or something. It was really weird.
