(( XD Yeah, my mer is pretty shy, and he's made the park pond his second home. And no problem! I can get that way sometimes. I love laughing at my own typos! X3 ))

Jigue beamed, thinking those were some excellent ideas. He liked Florien's bakery a lot, and that was clearly apparent, and the goodies they had gotten there were fabulous. It would definitely make the day better! "Yeah, days can go by rather quickly. It's not always a good thing, but then again there's always tomorrow!" he chirped, nodding. And winging it seemed to work for Jigue as well, since when things were planned, oftentimes something came up to prevent someone from doing it or doing so for long. It seemed to be an excellent day ahead of them, and not one to be hampered by plans. "I can't wait," he purred, snuggling up to Basil's shoulder briefly.

However, he wasn't able to do so for long, for as the light of the sun disappeared over the horizon to make way for the starlight of the night sky, the porch light to his home came into view. The familiar light was both comforting and disappointing, for he had lead Basil correctly in the nighttime but he would also have to leave his friend. "Well... I guess this is it, huh? I'll be sure to get up early to meet you out by the park, okay? Until then!" he said, standing still for a few minutes before urging himself to reach the door. He flashed a wide smile Basil's way before opening the door, only to disappear inside for the night. He had a lot to finish before tomorrow!

(( x3 ))

Basil chuckled. When they reached the other felines house, the cat's tail flicked as he purred. "Have a goodnight then." He gently kissed the other on top of the head before he was able to run off. When he was at the door the cat waved. "Ill see you in the morning! ^^" And when Jigue went in ot the house he turned around and started off towards his own. Tail swishing pleasantly.

~~~~~
Basil had arrived at the park a earlier at the park so he could start a mural on the ground. He was drawing the night scape he had been up all night thinking about and was pleased at how it was coming out. Purring his tail swished as he danced across the ground in his own way only to lean down again and color in his blank canvas.
As Jigue had predicted the other night, the day was bright and sunny today, one that seemed to display his inner demeanor on the events that were to happen. Today, he was sure to go without his long sleeves, for it was rather uncomfortable yesterday when he had them on, with the sun beating down on them like it had been. He was still very wary of the people that wandered the park at this early hour, though there were very few. He ignored any conversation around him, just in case they were rude remarks, for he didn't want the day to start off badly. After all, what did they know? Prejuudice was an awful thing, and one that repelled more people than befriending them.
His steps came slower as he reached the area he had met Basil the other day, hand tightening on his violin case as he wondered where he would be today. That, and he didn't want to trip over him and make a mess if he was nearby.
However, he didn't have to worry very much about it for long, for he could sense Basil's presence when he neared it enough, the familiar feel of the aura about him and his pleasant smell. Walking to the other feline's side, he crouched down beside him and gave off a wide smile, violin dangling from his fingers as they rested on his knees. "Hello, Basil! Good to see you again!" he sang, leaning back to sit down completely.
The cat's ears flick as he heard someone approach and he looked to see Jigue next to him now. He gave a happy purr and smiled. "Jigue! It's lovely to see you again!" His tail flicked happily as he crouched next to the other and looked at what he had accomplished so far. It was a small one compared to what he normally did, but it was about half way done. Smiling, he hugged the other cat. "I was just doing this night scape that has haunted me all night. <3 I should be done soon unless you want to get going now."
Jigue sueaked in surprise at the unforseen hug that Basil gave him, but he snickered afterward at his own reaction and leaned his head against Basil's as he squeezed him back. He wasn't used to so much attention, let alone physically touching someone, but he liked it.
Leaning back, his hands on the grass to his back to support him upward, he kicked a leg out comfortably. He wished he could see the image Basil chalked along the sidewalk, but just the memory of last night was enough to make it beautiful. He was sure those feelings were expressed in the picture itself, and that was enough t omake him happy.
At the question, Jigue turned curiously to where he felt Basil was, but only grinned. "No rush, we've got all day! Besides, I want you to finish your picture. And even if I wanted to leave now, I'm sure everyone here would hate me for making you leave your artwork unfinished," he said with a slight giggle. He knew if he were like everyone else, he would hate to see something so beautiful unfinished.
Too pass the time, although he wasn't bored, Jigue decided to take out his violin. It would need some tuning before being played, and he didn't want to do that later when he wanted to play it. "Just keep going, I can wait," he explained, smiling sweetly.
With a swish of his tail, Basil chuckled and went about his drawing. "It just makes them want to come back later. <3" He gave a chuckle. The other was surely more of a happy feline now than when he had met him. It made him happy.
"Would you like to help?" He offered a piece of chalk to the other. He wouldn't force him this time, he would just let him decide for himself. His ear twitched slightly at the sound of the violin being tuned but said nothing as he played about with a bit of pink tint on the horizon of his landscape.
"Yes, well..." Jigue trailed off, shrugging. There wasn't a very good comeback for that, but it didn't matter. "Naa, you've got a good point. Especially since it's not going to be raining anytime soon," he finally elaborated, nodding in agreement. "You should still finish it, though," he purred, grinning as he tweaked the strings of his violin.
He stopped abruptly with the tuning as Basil offered him a piece of chalk, gripping tighter onto the violin for fear he would drop it. "A-Are you sure?" he blurted out, forgetting that Basil's vision of beautiful art wasn't like the average public. Instead of waiting for an answer, though, he set his cherrywood violin onto the grass and reached for the piece of chalk, blushing vividly. "Just tell me what to do, and I'll do it to the best of my ability," he said, quietly but happily.
"How about, I let you just add to it. Use your imagination. As of now, it's just a background of a twilight night scape. The moon and stars are just now rising," gently he took the others hand and lead it so it brushed the moon then several stars in the sky, "And down below is a forest of trees but out the back is a open meadow...." He continued to lead the other fingers over the said trees and meadow. "What do you think is missing?"
He was still a little nervous about wrecking Basil's artwork, but he knew from previous experience it didn't matter. If he could imagine it, maybe he could draw it okay? Though he hadn't any idea what anything truly looked like but for silhouettes...
As his fingers skimmed over the mural on the sidewalk, led by the soft touch of Basil's hands, he swore he could almost see it. It helped that the memories of last night were still fresh in his memory, but the way it was set up in the picture... it was perfect. How would he be able to add to it?
However, he wasn't discouraged. He had an idea. "I'm not sure there is much else to add to it. It sounds perfect just the way it is. If you think it needs something more... how about something that can't normally be seen? Like the wind, or feelings..," he offered, thinking it may be interesting. It would almost be like what both of them saw, in a way... and the thought of that made the picture all the more magical.
He rocked back briefly, hiding his blush with a smile and a turn of his head. The night was magical, but Jigue was getting ahead of himself. "Just a thought, though I think it's perfect the way it is," he said, quickly recovering.
The cat crouched and gently brushed his own cheek a moment thinking, his tail flicking behind him. Wow... He could actually think of how to draw the other felines recommendation... How do you draw feelings? The wind was okay, you could merely suggest that it was there.
With a small flick of his ear the cat stared at the mural a moment then asked..."How...would I draw feelings? I cant force some bystander to be able to depict them as meant..." He wasnt blowing off the idea, it was actually quite intregueing! He wanted to try it.
At the last comment he gave a small purr, though he wanted to try the recommendation... Maybe another drawing...
In the silence that followed, Jigue managed to regain his composure. He gripped his hands onto his feet and rocked back forward, smiling through his embarrassment to his thoughts previous. He had to focus on the here-and-now or his thinking into the future could strain a relationship, even his spaciness could become a hinderance; it already seemed as if it were, after all.
So, focused more on what was happening now, he tuned in just in time to hear what Basil had to say. He held his hand to the back of his ear, scratching at an imaginary itch lightly as he answered, blush appearing at his cheeks in nervousness. He didn't want to sound stupid, but this sort of thing was hard to explain when he relied on different senses than most people. "Well... I've heard some colors represent different feelings for people, like the color of the sun represents happiness, and darkness represents depression. Maybe... you could do something like that?" he tried to explain, but without prior knowledge of such things, he was unsure if he could get at what he was trying to.
Jigue lowered his head down to face the pavement, fiddling with the handle to his violin case. He had put the cherrywood violin away at this point, wanting to play it later rather than now. The sun had been getting in his eyes, and the only way he could think to prevent this was with his long bangs. He was sure glad he had just worn the vest today, instead of the shirt underneath; it promised to be quite hot.
"Oh!" The cats ears perked and he purred, smiling. "I understand now. That would be a very fun mural to do sometime! A story with using the colors as feeling." He chuckled and purred. He wasnt making fun, he loved the idea. He grinned and leaned over to place a gentle kiss on the other feline's head.
"If you dont mind, I think that it's good the way it is. We should get moving so we can stop by the bakery. Florien has a few special treats ready for us. I told him we were going to go to the beach and he offered to make us lunch and such." Wiping off his hands, the cat stood and put away his chalks and such. He offered a hand to Jigue.
Jigue beamed, but it was hard to notice under the mat of hair that was currently covering his eyes. Nonetheless, it was apparent in his posture as he pulled his shoulders up around his jaw, tightening his arms briefly in a gleeful laugh. He was glad he had explained that well enough, for without the use of the color names it was difficult to know just how to explain it. He had never really had any use to memorize what the words 'purple,' 'yellow,' 'green,' and such described, as he could never seem to get it straight without actually seeing it, so wasn't sure if he could describe it the way he saw things. He was happy that imagination could conquer all that.
His ears twitched as Basil came near, placing a kiss on his head. He fidgeted slightly, continuing to play with the handle to his violin case, but couldn't help the happy purr that emanated from his throat at that moment, even if it was quiet. The tip of his tail flicked at the air playfully, as one's tail does when stalking prey or sneaking up behind someone. "I'm glad," was all he managed to murmur during that time, forcing himself to stay out of his own mind for the time being.
He lifted his head out from behind his sheet of bangs, knowing by the way Basil moved that he was preparing to rise to his feet. His words came next, and Jigue nodded a swift response. "Oh, sure! Sounds like a plan! I was afraid my idea would ruin how the picture was set up, so it's a good idea to do it in a different picture, where you can plan it from the beginning," he explained, knowing how it worked. If you were trying to get a particular sound into a piece of music that was already nearing completion, oftentimes it was impossible to not ruin the piece, as you were going for something different than that from the start. It was just the same with pictures, he was sure of it, even without the need to see it. It was just common sense.
He placed a bracing hand behind himself as he resituated the way he was sitting before abruptly stopping before he could maneuver himself up. He heard as Basil turned to face him, and the stiff air in front of him indicated the outstretched hand. With a wide smile, he gladly took the hand offered to him, nodding as the feline told of the unfinished blueprints for the day. He seemed ready to let the day pull them along in whatever direction it so pleased, letting fate take a hand rather than planning things out. It was something he rarely got to do, let alone of his own desire, and the thought made him anxious. It was going to be so fun!
"Oh, does he, now? Florien started ahead of us ordering?" Jigue asked, almost a lilt of bantering on his voice. "Well, that was nice of him! I'll have to thank him for that," he stated, more to himself than anything, almost as if he were taking down a note to remember by. He never really included eating in the plans he made for himself when going out, that always seemed to be what the other person he was with's job. He had almost forgotten about it himself, as he had done earlier; he even had to be reminded to eat breakfast before hurrying out the door this morning. "Let's get going," he said, beaming up at Basil. He still, unconsciously, had hold of his friend's hand and had given it a weak squeeze before realizing it was still there.
Basil was happy the other feline had understood. He helped the cat up and purred happily. "Yes. He insisted on doing, though im not one to argue with the coon. When he sets his mind, it tends to stay set and he wouldnt take no for an answer even if I had said it."
Once the other was up, he began to lead the way. Today was going to be wonderful. "This will be so much fun." He purred happily, his tail flicked gently about behind him. He hadnt been to the beach in ages let alone out with someone else that wasnt from the estate he lived in.
Pondering lightly, he thought out loud, "I wonder what Florien made for us... I wonder what he packed. Its going to be so yummy. <3" It tended to be one of his weaknesses, Florien's food was. The cat was sure he wasnt the only one in the world who thought like that, but it was especially true for the cat. He was forevr addicted to the coon's baking....<3
Uncharacteristically holding onto his violin with a light grip, the handle flowing across the edges of his fingers as he dusted his pants off with any free fingers. It wasn't that he didn't care about it right now, it was more of a security feeling about him. Right now, he felt safe by Basil's side, much more so than he had ever remembered feeling before. He trusted Basil beyond words, and never expected anything bad to happen when he was around, especially on such a perfect day.
Jigue felt a bit embarrassed that Florien would be thinking of them like that, but knew it was probably because the coon and Basil were friends and the feline loved to go there so much. Still... "Um, Basil? Would it be okay if I helped pay for it? I... I wouldn't feel comfortable just taking it like that," he asked, face turning red as he flushed from the kindness. "I mean, I barely know him, and I don't want to take advantage of him like that. Or you..."
But Basil's upbeat attitude and happiness couldn't keep Jigue nervous about anything for long, and he soon found himself giggling at it. "Yeah, I agree. It's such a nice day, I don't see how anything could go wrong. Especially with you here!" he blurted out before he knew it, and once he realized it, clamped the hand holding the violin down across his mouth. The violin fell with a loud thunk, and Jigue's worry split in two directions. "Oh, no! Is it okay?" he squeaked, heart pounding from two separate occurrences.
