Diablo shook his head as he listened, "Remind me again, why did we give him a name that is so obviously a pun?" His head then turned towards the unconsious operator of the program and he sighed and then continued, "Well I guess the rookie is right, we have to wake him up to advance. And I'm here just for moral support, it's your show Rikku."
Diablo moved towards he unconsious Trigger and put his foot on his side and then gently nudged him, "Hey! Wake up you lazy thing!"
Trigger getting violently (or atleast in his opinion) awoken jumped up, holding his nunchakus in a battle stance, "Who dares wak.... Oh it's you..." He gave Diablo a glare and then muttered directed at Rikku, "What's he doing here?"

"He's here for 'moral support'. I think he just wanted to make a brief cameo. What do you say Dia--" Rikku's sentence was cut short by a sudden jerk of the 'ground' below her.
Stopping for a moment, she realised what the sudden jerk was. The boat was beginning to decend.
"Trigger! We're decending. What's going on?"
Running to the front of the boat, Rikku noticed a small floating island just below them. The island was quite a large one. Roughly the size of the state of Texas. It had every ecosystem imaginable and it looked like they were headed right for the rain forest.

Sulia goes a little wide eyed at Rikku's statement and quickly hopped off her edge, running over to her side and looking out at the Island. "Well, that's going to be a rather rough landing...."
As they started to decend closer to the Island, she knew that they needed a smoother way to stop then just crashing into the nearest tree. Thinking quickly she runs and jumps to the middle of the boat. Putting both her hands out and pointed down at the ship deck, a white light begins glowing from her hands. After the light grows relatively bright, she slams both her hands down on the ship, the light going through and down to the plants below her.
"Hold on....." As soon as the beam hits the plants, they spring to life, quickly growing up and wrapping around the boat. As the vines and branches grow thinker, it almost jerks the ship to a complete stop making everyone slide forward a little from the shock. there is a moment of silence before Sulia straights to herself and smiles at everyone, the plants still growing around them to make sure the ship is secure in it's place.

Trigger stood there scowling at Diablo. He had heard the statement he had made while replaying what had happened while he was unconsious. He then blinked a few times and then glanced a Rikku, he then said after snapping his fingers, "Phase two! This te-" His sentence was then cut off by the boat's jerking stop at the hands of a swarm of plants stopping them.
After the boat's sudden jerk, Trigger fell face first and tumbled down along the deck only to get caught by a seemingly careless thrown blade cutting into his jacket. Trigger looked up at Diablo and yelled, "You stupid Elf! How dare you do that to my jack-" He then glanced down and then looked horrified at what could have happened if he had not been stopped.
Diablo merely shook his head after he composed himself. He glanced at the plants that had stopped them and said in mild bewilderment, "This is something seldom seen in these parts, a manipulator of the Earth. I've seen many Water and Lightning Manipulators in this land, this is just unusual." His eyes then turned to Rikku questioningly and he then asked, "Have you been aware of her powers?"
Trigger then piped up attempting to sound superior, "And here they say that "The Great Diablo Darkfire" knows all." His words came off thick with sarcasm, almost thick enough to actually be seen with the untrained eye.

The boat's decent began to pick up in speed. As it decended, it's level angle began to shift dramatically. Now on a forward slant, the boats occupants began to slide forward. As her center of gravity began to shift, Rikku knew that if she didn't act soon, she wouldn't have the chance to act again.
As she began to slide forward, she crouched, lowering herself towards the boat's surface. Bending her knees only slowed her decent. Thinking quickly, she realised the reality of the situation.
"What am I worried about? This is a program. All I need to do is..." Gazing down upon her left hand, she knew what she had to do.
As she slid forward, she closed her fists. Not a moment afterwards, a series of black cubes began to materialise around her. These black cubes circled around in the air, orbitting around the pink haired youth. As they orbitted, they began to collect near her left hand, forming a small cylindrical shaped item. More and more began to attach themselves to this cylinder. Raising her hand into the air, the current path of which the cubes swerlled began to shift. They began to spiral upwards, towards her hand.
It would seem that these tiny cubes were attaching themselves to eachother to form a solid object. In a matter of seconds, the cubes stopped appearing and had all settled into it's new shape. The pitch blackened shade of the object began to shine. The sweet shine of steel.
Rikku had summoned some of the programs pixelites to create a blade. Grabbing onto the hilt of her new weapon with her right hand, she lunged the edge into the floor boards of the boat. Doing it in such an angle that the side of the blade was horizontal, she fought against the gravitational pull that dragged her down by pulling herself up and stepping onto the blade. She balanced herself by hold the hilt with her right hand, and leaning against the boat's diagonalled floor.
Quickly glancing up, she noticed a bright beam of light emmenating from Sulia. "I hope you know what you're doing," she muttered to herself as she pulled the large purple lensed shades down from her forehead. With her eyes now covered, she closed her eyes and looked away.
Even with the shades and her eyelids protecting her eyes, a bright light flashed into her eyes, nearly blinding her. She simply closed her eye's tighter and held her ground. Waiting a moment, she realised that something was different. One eye slowly opened, making sure she was still alive. When she knew everything was okay, she opened her other eye and looked around. A sudden jerk of the boat caught her attention, as she slipped off her level ground.
Grasping the hilt of her blade, she swung back and forth for a moment. Looking down, it appeared that Sulia had a plan after all. It would seem that she not only controlled the properties of wind, but the proteries of earth as well. Now that's talent, Rikku thought silently to herself. Pulling herself back ontop of her embedded weapon, she looked around at everyone. "Is everyone alright?

"I'm fine..." She said with a smile as she hops from branch to branch that wrap around the boat to get more level with Rikku. Soon the boat is pretty much wrapped with plants for easy climbing and having a sturdy grip around the ship.
"Sorry about the sudden stop, but I kinda had to act quickly..." She then lets her gaze go downward, where she sees the front of the ship only a few feet from the ground. "I kinda cut it close...."
With a small sigh she sits herself on a branch beside Rikku's sword perch. After making sure she is secure, she looks over at Trigger who is hanging by his coat thanks to Diablo. "So, did we pass phase two Trigger?"

Trigger glowered at Mika when she said she had cut it close, he then retorted in a snide way, "Oh ha ha, what a good pun..." He then glanced up pointedly at his jacket. He then managed to situate himself as to get up and release himself. He then stared about a look of mild confusion on his face.
Diablo just merely shook his head. He walked calmly over to the place where he had stuck his sword, which had been to save their comrad. He simply kneeled down and pulled the blade from the wood. From his kneeled position he glanced about the ship, he then said, "So answer the lady Trigger."
Trigger reached up and scratched the back of his head looking about nervously. He then stammered out, "Uh... This actually was not part of the test... We were supposed to be a bit further north, I guess we're a bit shipwrecked. And I can't alter the program to get us there as the first part of the test was to get there."
Diablo just simply slapped his forehead with his hand and muttered, "Damn you Trigger, stop being a fool and pay attention more often."

Rikku watched in amazement as Sulia made her way down to the same level. That was some trick. I've never seen anyone do that before... When the new recruit was face to face with Rikku, she made a brief apology for the rocky conclusion to the show. Rikku started laughing. "Don't worry about that. You had me worried for a moment, but jeez... What a rush."
All eyes were on Trigger after having been questioned about the second phase of the simulation. Rikku shook her head at his responce. "Alter the program? Taking the easy way out, eh? Where's the fun in that?"
A devious grin spread across Rikkus' face. Still grasping the hilt of her blade with her right hand. Shifting her body weight backwards, she allowed herself to slide off the perch that her weapon constructed. Both feet hit the boat floor as she decended. Now was the time to make her move.
Bending her knees slightly, Rikku was determined to make the most of this situation. The girl always was a sucker for action. Using both arms, she used all her strength to pull the blade from it's resting place in the boat's worn floor boards. Using the strength she had built up in her legs, in the same movement she lunged herself forward.
The girl moved to impress. Performing a backflip as she decended, she used her right arm to manipulate the swords movement, placing it against her back. As the weapon touched her back, a similar series of cubes quickly formed around the blade. The pixelites had created a sheath this time, allowing the weapon to rest gently on her back.
Falling roughly a hundred feet, her leg's had finally met with the giant stem of plant growth that now held the ship upright. The soles of her boots had the perfect amount of friction, as they allowed her to slide downwards, yet have complete control over the directions in which she decended.
Now manipulating her path by simply shifting her feet, she quite quickly made her way down. It was as if a board were present beneath her two feet. She moved as if she lived to do exactly this. Sliding another hundred yards, a stray root had barred her path. It caused her to loose her footing and fly foward, away from the large stem.
As she fell, a giant leaf popped out just in time to catch her. Landing on both feet in a slightly crouched position, she swiveled in her landing spot and motioned for the others to follow. Bright eyed, she yelled up to them, "Are you coming?

Sulia remained in her spot as she watched the small girl slide about down the large plant, a smile upon her face as she watched the performance. It was daring and quite a sight to see, impressing her as she slid along, but as she watched she saw the girl loose her footing and fly forward, Sulia placing her hands over her face not to watch, but peeked through her fingers. A small sigh of relief escaped her as she saw Rikku land on the giant leaf.
She gave a small smirk as she heard Rikku's question, getting to her feet upon her perch. "Of course..."
Sulia then stood quietly in her spot as she concentrated her energy to her feet. She could do all the fancy acrobatics of Rikku's but making the ship come to such a sudden stop had drained her slightly and she felt rather lazy. After a moment of concentration, she stepped out her foot, the nearest plant quickly springing to life and shooting over to her awaiting foot to form a step. Giving a smile of success, she continued her decent downwards, her stairway of plants forming as she made her way down.
"Forgive the lack of theatrics. Still kinda tired from stopping the ship." Sulia said with a smile as she drew closer to Rikku. Once near her again she turns and looks up at Diablo and trigger. "Can you get down without busting your face, Trigger? You can use the plant stairs to stay on the safe side, if you'd like."
She then gives a good laugh, enjoying this little adventure of hers.

Trigger looked down over the edge of the boat nervously. Then upon hearing the girl's comment at him he shouted "I heard that! I do not deserver this disre-" He was cut off by Diablo slapping him on the back lightly, in order to calm him down, instead it made him lose his footing and topple over the edge. Trigger as he fell managed to grab one of the large stems and slide down, quite skillfully at that.
While sliding down, much like a surfer upon a surfboard going along a wave, he caught a small bud. The bud caused him to lose his footing and go tumbling down untill he hit the stem of a leaf comming from the main plant. "Omph!" was the only sound trigger made for a moment before staggering up. He then muttered, "Why must I have this role, I swear I am going to get myself killed..."
Diablo stood at the railing, for a moment he held a look of concern for Trigger. Sure he found Trigger to be annoying, but none the less he enjoyed his quirkiness just the same. He then looked down and then grinned a bit. They all had their ways of getting down, now it was his turn.
Diablo leaped up to the railing and stood balanced upon it. His hand moved out and pointed at the pace infront of the railing, and a dark substance began to emerge from nowhere. It swirled in place, and grew darker untill it was a pure black disk in the air. Diablo put a foot upon it, and then the other one and stood upon this blackness.
The disk then slowly began to decend towards the ground. He came level Rikku and said quietly to her, as to avoid the others heaving, "I am quite impressed with her so far. She has quite the potential for greatness."
(And yes, for those who are comic book nerds (and saw X-men 2...) I am kinda stealing Magneto's thing. Where he turned a metal ball into a flat disk and used it to fly across the gap of his plastic prison..... Speaking of which... Why didn't they give him metal boots so he could levitate about?)

Rikku smiled as the other three began to follow her down. Sulia made her way down slowly by creating a staircase of plant life. Trigger began to follow her using the same approach. Diablo used a much different approach, creating his own board and levitated down on it.
She watched as Diablo made his way down the quickest. She nodded at his comment. "I agree. Let's see how she fairs against the next few tests."
Rikku took one more look at the new recruit. I hope you can make it though this, she thought to herself. Without a moment to wastem she lept of the giant leaf that caught her and continued her decent. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Within minutes, the ground had become quite close. It only took 5 minutes to reach, but Rikku was almost the first to reach solid ground. Taking a quick glance behind her (for the first time since she continued to slide down), there was no one to be found. She must have been going too fast..
A thought occured to her at that point. If she didn't do something quick, she'd hit the ground quite hard. The thought of a misquitto hitting a windshield and going 'splat' was not a fate she had wished upon herself. As she continued to slide, the angle of the stem curved and became more horizontal. As Rikku reached this part of the stem, she broke out into a run.
The pull of gravity was against her as she couldn't stop herself. As the stem dropped to a 90 degree angle, she had limited options. The only thing she could think of at the time was to jump.
Into the lush shruberies of the thick rain forest. She was still quite a high above the ground. Too high to safely land from where she was. She had to think fast and hop down the tree branches. Her momentum brought her straight into a tree. There was a hop, a skip and a jump as she made her way across the tree tops.
All she needed to stop herself was one more branch to land on. As she took her final steps and lept across one tree to the next, she questioned as to whether or not she had enough momentum to make it to the next. She neared the branch. So close.
Reaching her arm out, she could almost touch it. But as her finger grazed the side of the branch, she realised that she missed it by a few mere inches. The branch started to get smaller as she fell towards the ground. She stared at her right hand as she decended, wishing that she could reach out and grab it. She knew it was too late.
(Who's going to save her?! -gasp-)

Sulia watched as Rikku slid her way ahead of them, shaking her head slightly with a smile, seeing that she was very excited about all of this. But soon Rikku was out of sight, which concerned her slightly, quickening her pace so that she can at least see her.
When she finally catches sight of Rikku again, she sees her hopping from branch to branch to slow herself down, but watched in horror as Rikku misses a branch and begins to fall to the ground.
Without completely thinking it through she jumps off her stairway of plants and begins a sky dive after her. But as she falls, she sees that she is no where close to catching her in time. Thinking fast she grabs her fans and connects them once again, waiting until she has a straight path across at Rikku before waving them as hard as she can behind herself and shooting her forward.
Flying at this speed, she quickly closes the gap between the two of them and reaches her arm out to catch Rikku, grabbing her and pulling close before they continue to fly forward. This was pretty much as far as she had thought things out. Now she was really winging it.
After having grabbed Rikku, their momentum had slowed down and they soon began to fall downward again. Hoping her new plan worked, she held out her hand making it glow once again, and sending the light down ahead of them, hitting the ground and making the plants glow around them for a moment before vines shoot out of the trees and weave together to form a net, catching them like a safety net for trapeze artists. After she is sure that both of them wont fall to their death, she smiles over at Rikku, "I can't believe that actually worked!!"

Diablo stared at Rikku as she made her decent. He was mildly interested on how she would make her way down using just her feet, and almost made a move to save her as he saw her start to come into trouble. What stopped him was that he remembered the tasks at hand that needed to be done by the new girl. He tilted his head slightly at how the girl once again resorted to using her 'powers' in order to get the job done.
Diablo then blinked realising that Trigger had seemingly disappeared. It was far too quiet, and usually Trigger was constantly making some kind of noise. He then shrugged slightly and continued with his decent towards the ground. He then gave Rikku a glance and asked, "Have you seen Trigger at all since you two made your landing? Or is he going MIA again, as per usual?"
His attention went to the girl as he said, "Quite clever, but I must say that relying on this power of yours might not be a good idea, even if you didn't have much time to think."

[Frick have I been busy lately. Sorry about the delay. Here goes nothing.]
Was this the end? Was this going to be the last of her days? Rikku sure as heck prayed to differ. Besides, if this really was the end, why wasn't her life flashing before her eyes? Then she saw it. Something was blocking the light. The small, dimmed lights that broke through the small cracks in the trees were no longer visible. Something was heading towards her.
Everything happened so fast, she had no time to compute everything. It seemed like it happened in the blink of an eye. One moment, she was falling to her death. Blink. Suddenly, she was on the ground. Or, at the very least, something solid. Blinking several times, the poor girl was having trouble trying to figure out just what the heck had happened.
Looking down, she realised that a series of vines and tree roots where below her. She was hanging several feet above the ground. Only one person could be behind such a feat and she too was even shocked at how this event had turned out.
Rikku smiled, then laughed. Filled with excitment from all of this, she stood up and began jumping around. Diablo had made his appearance and was now consulting Sulia. All the while, Rikku was examining the net of vine and root very closely. "Say, just how do you get them to do that? Obviously refering to the plant life around her. It was something to control fire, like her brother. Even controlling the darkness was an amazing feet. But wind and earth manipulation. That was almost unheard of. Sulia must have been made of something special to do all that.
[Kind of lame, but it's past my bed time.]

Sulia looked over at Diablo as he came down, taking in both his praise and his advice. She quickly nodded and took note that she shouldn't always rely on her powers. She didn't know why but she instantly felt like she needed to listen to him and learn from him.
Her attention then turned to Rikku as she jumped around in excitement, laughing. "I have a connection with them, I guess you could say......I can hear them, and if I concentrate really hard, I can talk to them and ask them to help me out.....but it isn't perfected yet.....it took me forever just to figure out how to tune them out when I didn't want to hear it. You'd be surprised by how talkitive a plant can get when it finds out someone can actually understand them. It's rather annoying."
Annoying was an understatement. In the beginning she wasn't even able to sleep at night thanks to her mother's rose garden. Of course, in time, she got better at it. Practice makes perfect after all. But she was far from perfect. She had gotten lucky. The plants seemed to really like her today.
"So, shall we continue on?.....at a perhaps slightly slower pace?"
