JC: dont know about prototype but ill give them a try, if i can find them. they are revamping their myspace apperantly so... >.<
Regena spector? she's the girl from russia that had like a black and white themed video until the end where they just have a crazy paint color war? Thats was a pretty nice song.
I love the piano so any song with one of those usually gets me.
~ Oulixeus: lol. I do the same when im working out. Techno/dance music really gets you moving. I also tend to add in video/move soundtracks. For example, songs from Rocky or Street Fighter Mixes or songs from Bloodsport. They have all done me good before. ~ The distillers sound pretty good. The voice for the lead singer is pretty rough, kinda deep but it works. (but then again ive only listened to about two songs so...) ~ As far as Gwen Stefani goes...i do sorta miss No Doubt (I liked that group). But i also like her songs, not enough to really buy her album though. One thing I love about her is that creativity she brings. ~ I cant really think of what Ive been listening to thats new....but I have been watching this one anime a lot these past few days. And i gotta tell ya, the bands that play the opening and ending songs. Oh! Complete love! They are also punk rock.
I believe the names are:
Anna inspired Nana Black Stones- the song thats super kick a** is Rose. Olivia inpi Reira - Starless Night (though im still debating which song i like best so far from them. the singer for this one is amazing. She's got a really great range, killer. And the songs are so full of emotion. (you could tell im really into these right now. hehe)

Blaiz: Oh, you got me there on exercising to soundtracks. I love doing that. The Rocky soundtracks are great. The Final Countdown and Eye of the Tiger are perfect. The singer for the Distiller's definitely has a rough voice. But because she's so rough and so deep, she's very unique. Unique voices always get me.
THIS JUST IN!
I've discovered a new genre. It's called PSYCHOBILLY. Apparently it's punk music mixed with some kind of hillbilly sounding music from the 50s. It's awesome though.
Give TIGER ARMY a listen to. If I had to suggest a song I would suggest "Ghostfire". It's good. Really. I know I sound crazy but I'm serious. I'm hooked.
It's not everyone's cup of tea but it's definitely worth a listen to.
Nextly, if you haven't already, give 'The Used' a listen to. They're far more popular then Tiger Army. A whole different sound right there. I can't suggest anything too specific. Give'em a try and keep an ear out because they have potty mouths.

It's strange. I got introduced to "Nightwish" not too long ago, and I finally ran into somebody yesterday who has heard of 'nightwish.' Anybody else have any familiar encounters? lol, I only have a couple songs I think, and i'd love to download more.

I'm not 100% sure I can classify them as hillybilly/punk. I couldn't really say what you could classify them as. Haha, you'd have to listen to it just to help me figure out what their sound really is.

JC: thats a lot of bands! looks like fun, hope you get to go and rock out! woot! XD
Oulixeus: I heard Ghostfire, kinda odd. I cant really hear to well though, since the ones I found were vids of lives and the voice is usually masked by the instruments/crowd. But it does surprise me to see a bass in there ( but i guess it does achieve the deep sounds that you may want). Surprising but i guess it works!
and good luck with those tickets!
~* Anybody notice how some old songs are being remade? Maybe its just a little trend thats going on right now in the rnb scene or maybe im just listening too hard but here are some songs that have recently come out and are remakes.
Lumidee-She's like the wind Patrick Swayze-Shes like the wind
Lloyd- Want you Cant remember the song but its an oldie and its the part that goes, "ba.baba. baaaaa. ba. dun duuuun dun, duun dun dun." It an old soul classic you probably have heard in tons of movies.
Pretty Ricky- On the Hotline Part of the chorus, or maybe its at the end. the lyrics even a bit the beat, reminds me of Salt and Peppers- Let's talk about sex
(this one is jazz) Kenny G remade "Your Beautiful" by that guy that I cant think of his name, thats not really and old old song though. but hey im talking remakes here!
Theres other that I cant think of right now, i know a spanish artist did similar.
I mean, weird coincedence, no?
Although, all are good songs worthy of checking out. As well as:
Bow Wow- Outta my system (speculation runs wild with this one) T-Pain - Buy you a drink (hot one) Marques Houston- Circles

Yep, Her album color is the same way.
I do as well, but not a lot of musical artists play it, other than cold play ocourse.
Oulixeus: Yeah it's a killer set up. If I dont go I will be missing a lot. It's like hitting 12 birds with one stone. XD

I'd have to agree on that new Shins album, I'm not too impressed.
I've been wanting to pick up some Circa Survive and Sick of it All. I hear good things about them.
Nextly, if you're into ELECTRONIC music check out BlaqkAudio! They're a group formed by AFI members Davey Havok and Jade Puget. It's been their side project since about 2001/2002 and only now have they been promoting some progress! There is a countdown on their myspace that we can only hope will have something to do with a preview. Otherwise, they say they may have something out in Summer!
Check it out!

Let's see for my first post in this thread...
I listen to everything except for country really. Here are some artists that I'm currently talking about based on the songs I hear from them.
Rap - Ludacris. Been hearing his song "Runaway Love" with Mary J. Blige alot. I love the way his voice sounds when he raps and unlike some other hits on the radio right now he's actually rapping stories with serious issues, not about how hot he is -.-'
Hip Hop - Gwen Stefani. I don't know if this is how I would classify her but ever since I got her "The Sweet Escape" album for Christmas, I've been in love with it. I'm glad to see her doing different things.
Rock - My Chemical Romance. Their song "Famous Last Words" is stuck in my head, haha. They express so much feeling in that song. Plus all my friends in band want to steal their uniforms and hold a black parade in town and scare the crap out of all the townspeople blaugh
Metal - Slipknot. This was my first metal band to ever get into and I love them. I love the masks and I love the music. But I hate how people say that "Slipknot sucks because they have too many drummers!" Who cares?! It's still music. And their many drums is what makes their band and their music unique. Their album "Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses" is awesome.
So yeah, lol, I go into these things alot 'cause I love music. Plus I'm a band geek xd
