((I actually like my teachers. All of them. Means I get hugs))
Alex surreptitiously flipped open his book and began to hurredly scribble down the answers to the questions, trying to look as small as possible next to May and Arani.
I'm not here... I'm not here... he chanted silently to himself, trying to distance himself from them. He couldn't see the sense in being directly confrontational.

"If you knew that you were being a pain you'd stop it. Instead you tell others that you're a pain like it gives you an out." Kai said lowly, shutting his books and sitting back in his chair.

Meilin rolled her eyes back at the bluenette. "Hey, May, check out who else finished quick." she said, snatching the pink slip from the teacher, then sticking her tongue out at his retreating back as he handed one to May as well and left. "It's Mr. 'Too-good-for-everybody." she muttered bitterly.

May smiled cynically as the teacher handed her a similar pink slip, though that expression quickly changed back to the neutral one she had seconds before, as she folded the paper in half and shoved it on the back of her black notebook.
The brunette shook her head at the mention of Kai. "Oh yes, indeed." She muttered, rolling her eyes.
May knew very well they weren't the only ones to speak ill of him. She was a beyblader and she knew that no one was loved by all and Kai was no exception. Just like her, Max, Gabriela, Mariah, Rei, etc.
"His social skills are reduced to zero. I bet you a week's pocky on how he couldn't be nice for one day if he tried it."

Well, Max didn't want to get in trouble, nor did he want to argue with two girls who seemed to be able to easily kick him to next millennium. He ran a hand through his blond fringe as he heard the two speak.
"He's not that bad, you know?" He pointed out, his voice a mere whisper. "He's had a tough life, it's not his fault."

Meilin snorted. "He can't reduce what he never had." she said, nodding. "I'd bet a whole year's worth of ramen he couldn't be sociable for twelve hours if it killed him."
She gave Max a look. "And because of that it's okay that he's a jerk-and-a-half? Sorry, Max, you're a nice guy and all, but that's just NOT the way life works." She smirked and started humming 'The Emo Song' under her breath.

"What did he do to make you hate him so much?" Alex asked, quicklly scribbling down answers to the questions. "He seems a bit... rude maybe."
Alex perused his answers and, deciding that the writing looked like it filled up the page sufficiently, shut his book. "Am I the only one that hasn't met him before?"

Kai smirked as the conversationbehind him continued. He turned around to regard the small group. "I applaud you on 'talking behind my back' literally but genrally when you're going to make a go of it you try to also talk out of earshot."
He rolled his eyes and turned back to the front of the classroom, ignoring Rin's comment.

Rin too heard Alex's comment. Thats kinda rude...she thought, but before she could think of anything else, Kai replied. Rin smirks and trys to ho;ld back a giggle. She almost made it too...atleast it wasn't loud enough for the teacher to hear...

"Oh my, I would have never gotten there without your priceless help." May rolled her eyes. Seriously, how could she had ever thought of being nice to him in the first place? Yes, because if she actually got around to it, she might have even gotten along with him at some point in her life. Even if he hated her enough to want to rip her across the room by the throat.
The brunette's elbows were then placed on the table, her face held by her hands.
"Usually, I'd tell you to mind your own buisness, but since we're talking about you, I'm afraid I can't. So please, just crawl back into your hole of self-centered attitudes and bitterness and let us be." She muttered, sticking her tongue out at his back for a couple of seconds.

"Okay, that's it, I'm done getting involved in this." Max shook his head. He finished his assignment and placed it away on a corner of the table, looking over at the teacher and the rest of the class. Anything to distract him from what could get them all in detention.

Alex blinked at Kai's comment. I'm not going to survive a year with him. He thought forlornly. He smirked at Belle's reaction. "Mature." He said, amused.
He sighed and stretched, arching back on his chair and trying to make his back crack. He succeeded with a rather loud crunch. The brunette winced and straightened quickly. "That was stupid." He muttered. He sighed and put up his hand up to get the teacher's attention.
"Not that I don't appreciate getting work in form and all but do you know when we'll get our timetables for our real lessons?"

Kai looked at the teacher before judging that he could probably safely move without too much fuss. He stood and moved quickly over to where Max was. If the teacher said anything he could always whip out his patented 'Hiwatari Glare'. He hadn't spent years perfecting it for nothing.

[xD Oh my, my friend made me take that picture with him. It was the second half of her revenge for what I did last summer.]
"Eh?" Max looked over at Alex the moment his words were processed in his mind. It's true, we'll need our timetables soon. He thought to himself, as he looked up and distant look overcame his soft features.
He held his pencil in one of his hands which was resting on the sheet of paper in front of him. Of course, his mind wasn't just set on that timetable subject. He was also thinking about that tournament some people were talking about when they came to class. He wondered if any of them would be competing.
Soon enough, though, the blond snapped out of the trance; Kai had moved over next to him and he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
"Aren't you worried that the conflict doesn't finish soon?" He asked lowly. "You are closer to them now."

"Timetables... Who needs them?" May sighed as she looked down. In spite of her attitude, May was still a good student and fairly organized, but she found timetables something too controlling.
She closed her eyes for almost one minute, sighing before she reopened them. It amazed her sometimes, how she could go from sad to happy from a moment to another, and then be happy again. Was she just faking one of those feelings? A trick her own mind was playing to her? Or maybe she wasn't as sane as hoped.
Some questions were better off unanswered.
When trying to make that unusual set of doubts disappear into the back of her mind, and as Kai moved places, a smirk crossed the brunette's lips. She was finding it funny to taunt Kai. It was amusing to pull off a reaction.
"Oh, I'm so glad that Lord Too-angsty-without-a-reason has decided to join us." She rolled her eyes for the umpteenth time today; oh yes, sarcasm was a plus in her book.
Unfortunately I don't want any of your germs; I'm afraid I might be contaminated with your personality. May decided to keep that last part out of the actual statement.
[Oh Panda, since I'm in a remaking profiles mood, could I change some this around on May's profile? Not entirely, just to change some things that aren't really of any significance and to make it clear instead of the confusing mess I made of it. ^^; Also, because that's a more... Simple version of the "real" May's old profile.]

Arani smirked at Mei. The more she hung out with this girl, the more she was coming to like her. It was almost scary how alike they seemed. She edged her chair away from the blue-haired blader. "Forgive me for getting the hell away from you, but I fear your rotten personality might be contagious." she said, smirking as she pulled her sketchpad out again.

((No- you guys were near the back of the classroom if I recall- Kai was somewhere in the middle. On convention issue: I'm 6 hours away from the nearest place that would have one. @Belle: PM me the updated profile and I'll fix it. *looks* All issues sorted? Yes? Yes.))
Kai raised his eyebrows at Max. "Funny how they're arrogant enough to think I actually wanted to talk to them" He said dryly, relaxing into his new chair. "Have you you heard from Tyson or Rei? Lately?" He asked.

"You will receive your timetables when form is finished" He said sourly, gesturing to the pile of paper on his desk. "For now, I need to know if anyone has any issues with their accommodation if they're a boarder or any issues in general that need to be addressed before school."
Alex toyed with the idea of asking for a room change before remembering what had happened to the student who'd tried to pull that trick last year. He had ended up cramped in the tiniest room room the school could find.

[Yes, all issues sorted. ^^; I'll PM you the profile tomorrow... I must study today. On a side note, I'm not very far from any place where a convention would be held, but I'm only planning on attending one this summer, cosplaying as Kadaj.]
It's not arrogance, it's realism. You were all arguing, anyway... Max thought to himself like it was just that obvious. He did shrug upon Kai's question, finding it incredible how they hadn't talked about the other up until now. "Hmm, not much. The last time I spoke to Tyson was two weeks ago and I haven't seen Rei in a long time. How about you?"

"Good one there, Arani." May grinned, half-showing her teeth. The brunnette glanced over at Alex, then at the teacher, a doubt forming in her mind; for once, it was actually related to classes. She raised her hand rather quickly. "I have an question. If a day student has any sort of issue and was to find some place to sleep for just one night or two, could they um... Stay at the school with a friend or something of the sorts?"
She raised an eyebrow at the teacher, much calmer now than she had been before. If she was lucky enough, she might even avoid any sort of visit from her parents - if they decided to show up... Which unfortunately she was sure they would, because her grandfather had said so and he wasn't wrong about that sort of thing. Not usually, anyway. It wasn't something that usually worried her, but May didn't want to sleep in the subwat - not that she'd ever be allowed to -, even if it sounded better than sleeping under the same ceiling as two mindless jerks without a mentality or conscience.
[Oooh, I had no idea Alex said his share of curse words. :0]
