"Oh, that......" She gave a smile, or aat least the best young dragons could do. "I-I have these really strange powers. SO that's whay I can talk like I'm in your mind!" She spoke quickly, as if hyper on sugar. Seh hopped around him, continuing, "I was practicing teleporting but I ended up in the air and f-Gyaah!" She skidded to a stop as snow was blown into her face. It didn't hurt, but the shock itself was enough. "It's...it's.....pretty." Seh repeated it. Never had she seen this wonderful white stuff, as cold as it was.

Asariel growled at Azariah several more times, just warning her not to let it happen again. He didn’t give two figs for strange powers; he just didn’t want those strange powers hurting him or his friends. Well, friend, actually. Zera was the only hatchling that he felt really that close to right now. Also, the fact that there was a voice inside his mind kinda bothered him as well. He didn’t care for others in that private place.
His growlings ceased when Zera blew the snow in Azariah’s face. Instead, he clucked happily, which was his version of chuckling. He trotted back smartly to Zera and dove into the small pile of snow nearby, still clucking cheerfully. It was cold, yes, and wet when it melted against his warm scales, but it was fun anyway. Curiously, he tried eating it and yelped as it simply melted in his mouth. Taking some in his mouth, he attempted to throw it at Zera. It didn’t work particularly well, as the only thing it hit was her foot.

Zera noted the air temperature had gotten much colder and all the rain had turned into White puffy stuff. She didn't even have to make it. It was piling up all around her. She cheerfully rolled in it. She wondered why other dragons looked so...cold. How could they been cold? The Puffy stuff wasn't cold. Atleast, not to here. She burried her nose into the snow and lay in wait, planning to pounce on Asariel when he got close enough.

Yelps came from were Azariah stood. She was trying to control her powers once more. This time, trying to form the fluffly white stuff into small spheres. But each time they would implode, spraying the white stuff everywhere. 'I can't get it right! Ooh.......' she thought, laying down sadly. Her attempts and failure had gotten to her, and now she sat there. Letting the snow pile up on her.

Asariel looked around curiously, wondering where his friend had gone. She was around here… somewhere… or, at least, she had been. Surely, it wouldn’t be that difficult to find a black and red dragon amidst all this white stuff. He shivered slightly, feeling the cold on his scales. Maybe she had frozen!! Maybe she had turned into this powdery white stuff! Blorting his panic, Asariel tried to dig into the snow, coincidentally turning his back on both Azariah and Zera.

Zera wiggled her bottem and pounce onto Asariel pushing him into Azarieh. She chriped loudly to show her satisfaction, then slipped off to her hollow to sleep for the night. She did her best to send a picture of sleeping dragons into Asariels head, to let him know were she was going.

Eyal watched the oothers, and then looked up to observe this white stuff that was floating down. What was it? He lifted his nose, sticking out his tongue. A flake of the stuff landed daintily in his open maw, and promptly turned to water. He squeaked, a little taken aback. The stuff was a little cold. And when he put heat on it...it turned into water. It was water! Sort of? Frozen water of a sort. He rumbled, signalling his satisfaction in discovering what this strange stuff was. But, just sitting here was boring...he should go see the other hatchlings. With a loud warble, he trotted over to where the blue and whispy purple one were, noting that the black and red one who had iced his tail before was going her own way. He arrived and sat before the pair, cocking his head with interest at them and signalling to the white stuff. Wasn't the white stuff interesting? He thought it was very interesting!

Azariah nudged Asariel to get off, to downtroden to actually try. With the failed attempt, she plopped right down, giving a small whimper. 'I can't do anything.....' Azariah thought. She was becoming quite the pessimistic dragon-ette..... She glanced at Eyal, one eye closed. She was tired now, and having Asariel on her did not help. "Yes, the white stuff is pretty...." ((And my posts just get shorter and shorter.....))

The striped dragon observed the purple one for another moment, confused at her only half hearted attempt to push Asariel off. He looked at the blue dragonet and chirped, wondering if he would know why the purple one was so dejected right now. He picked up the stray thougths from her though, and then the voice came with bell-like clarity, ringing out in his mind. thw white stuff? Oh, of course it was pretty. Wait, was that what she was depressed about? He had seen her a little earlier, trying to mold the stuff.
He sat back on his haunches to think for a moment. She hadn't been able to mold the stuff, and now she was that depressed about it? Why that was just stupid! Eyal stood up, trumpeting a call of defiance at her. She shouldn't be so down about that! He projected his thoughts of displeasure at her. It hadn't worked the first few times, that was life, so she could either sit there and sulk about it or get back up and practise some more! He then showed an image to her of himself, opening his mouth wide, breathing puffs of smoke. He showed himself trying, over and over and over again. And then perhaps his ego got a little carried away, and he showed himself, proud and strong breathing out a massive blazing inferno of pure, white-hot flame!! Okay, so maybe that was a little carried away...but his point was that she should practise until she got it. After all, what would she achieve by sitting on the ground, wallowing in self pity? Nothing! So she she practise until she got it right! He nodded enthusiastically to emphasize his point.

Zera awoke from her nap with displeasure. Actually, she thought with surprise, It wasn't her displeasure, it was someone elses. Were they trying to send thoughts to another dragon? because the seemed to be ntering her mind no problem. She growled the lay in the snow looking for home ever it was so she could pounce upon them. Up ahead, she could see the golden dragon concentrating. Waiting for a moment she then lept into the air to pounce upon him.

She gave the best dragon-y smile she could give to Eyal, looking up to him. "Thank you," Azariah said. Her feathers twisted and turned as the wind blew gently. She struggled to stand up, pushing Asariel off. "I don't need the extra weight," she muttered, shaking off the snow from her back. The hatchling made a clicking noise with her tongue, feeling less pessimistic than she did before. Maybe all she needed, was someone to believe in her. Even when she didn't.

Asariel squealed loudly as he was pushed into Azariah, but it wasn’t the sort of enraged squeal. It was more amused than anything else. Getting comfortable on his dragon perch, he did his best to stay on, even as Azariah wriggled around. Eventually, the purple whispy hatchling pushed him off and into the snow, which the blue dragon didn’t mind at all. Clucking happily, he dashed through the snow, pushing it everywhere. Whipping his tail around, he attempted to get snow on everyone in the general area so they could share the fun.
As for why Azariah was so depressed… Asariel did his best to shrug---a difficult movement for someone with no shoulders to speak of--- before romping in the pretty white stuff again.

Zera missed the purple hatchling, instead she landed by a nest of sphere like objest in nests. Zera stoped to sniff them. They were more oval shaped than sphere shaped. They had patterns on them, all diffrent colors. Zera was amazed. What were these things? She tried to roll one away, but an adult stoped her. Sighing the young hatchling trotted to join Asariel as he showerd everyone with snow.

Looking around and wondering where Zera was, Asariel blorted worriedly. It was his nature to worry if he wasn’t sure where his friend was. He looked down at the powdery white stuff, dimly recalling that she had breathed out on the water and made it like this. Promptly, he stuck his head under it, trying to find Zera. What if she was trapped underneath it?! What could happen!? Since his face was getting cold fast, he pulled out and shook himself, spreading snow everywhere. Blorting again, he romped around until he saw a familiar purple-scaled tail sticking out of… of… of something…
Catching an edge of her curious thoughts, he wandered closer, peering into the nest. He cocked his head to one side and then cautiously prodded the… the things with one talon, trying to figure out what they could possibly be.
“Oh, for the love of…” eventually, a voice rang out somewhere above their heads. Very gently, the two hatchlings were herded away from the eggs by an older dragon, who did NOT want her eggs to be ruined by two little babies.
Asariel hissed dramatically at the larger dragon, rearing on his hind legs and beating his tiny wings, trying to make himself seem impressive. The older didn’t seem impressed at all and merely pushed him over with one claw.
Stumbling to his feet sheepishly, Asariel stomped off, muttering nasty things in hatchling to himself. One of these days, he promised himself, he would have a lovely arrangement of those vaguely round things and he wouldn’t let that meanie-scales dragon touch them at all! So there!

"What is this soft white stuff I wonder?" she whispered to herself, jumping into a large clump of it. "I think I'll call it....Ping!" ((No, it's snow! Snow! SNOW!)) She started to get cold, so she pulled herself out of Ping. Shaking the white stuff off, she gave a bubbly chitter. "And now back to practice~" She attempted to mold Ping again, but it exploded once more. 'Gyaah!' she screamed in her mind, shaking the snow out of her mane. 'Still can't get it right!'
She tried several attempts more, each time the Ping sphere either exploding or taking a different shape. By the time she became tired, she had made several wing-shapes of Ping. And curved cones, kind of like her claws. Azariah plopped down, feeling somewhat weak. 'Too much practicing.....'
