It is a creepy picture and I can see why they would put warnings on this. It creeps me out very much and it just has an effect on me. Actually, I think the painter did a good job with the expressions that the children have, but still it doesn't take away the creepiness. As for setting it as my wallpaper I'll be honest and say that I'll leave it to anyone who is braver than me to experiment. Here is the artist's official website: http://www.stonehamstudios.com/His works in general look kinda creepy. sweatdrop

I remember this. Too bad I read the warning before I looked at it. I remembered feeling sick to my stomach and having a feeling of unease come over me.
I've had other people look at the same picture WITHOUT looking at the warning label, and they were fine.

I remember feeling unease, as though I shouldn't be looking at the pics. After I went back and found the warning. As for Bill Stoneham, it's true. All of his work is kinda creepy. It's his "genre" I suppose lolz.

Well I saw the pic and nothing happened to me. And my friend saw the pic and nothing happened to her. So I think there is nothing about the pic that will cause something to happen to you. Maybe if you see it in person

Well I must say the paintings a little freaky, but I checked out the guys other work and it’s not to bad compared to some of his other paintings. But I’ve always found surrealism a bit freaky; I think that’s why I like it. lol.

Okay I looked at the picture like 4 hours ago, I didn't feel anything but a bit creeped out. It's dark outside and I all of a sudden started feeling really panic'd (sp?). I'm afraid to look out my window (I'm facing it because my computer is against a wall that has a window above it) and I keep freaking out thinking a little boy will pop up crying
I get freaked out WAY easily (which doesn't stop me from looking at and reading these sort of things)... I doubt it's the fact that it's the painting but that these sorts of things ALWAYS freak me out. I know it's all in my mind... but still sweatdrop

Wow... that is creepy... the doll on the left hand side of the painting weirds me out.
Seems like it might possibly be genuine... yet again, it might just be the way that the artist painted it. But I'm more inclined toward the first explanation.

it seems, that the images in the painting are what would generate teh feeling, the boy's forhead was far too large, which gives him a frankenstien look almost in the first picture.

the last two pics in there made no sence, they tinted it red and stuff for some reason @_@ and the last pic shows its clearly day (window with sunlight going through on the left side) so its not like it turned red because it was night time and the boy was leaving the picture

I randomly just showed this image to my best mate, her boyfriend and my hubby. My friend started to feel very odd, I felt sick and had a hot sweat and my hubby felt an odd pain in his wrist and general ill ease. Only my friend's boyfriend felt nothing.
I was the only one who knew of the legend and I never suggested anything to the others, all I said was, 'have a look at this'. It could be auto suggestion for me, but when the others reported discomfort in the same breath at the same time, it got creepy.
By the way my friend and myself are BA art students, we now the artistic game.

Fisrt off, I love the painting, as well as the two sequels to it.
Sometimes when I look at the picture, my eyelids become really heavy, like I'm about to fall asleep. My stomach will also start to feel odd.

I looked at every picture. Nothing happened to me. I think only people who get creeped out by stuff like that are the ones who have a reaction to it. But I like stuff like that and I've seen it in tons of movies. That's why is isn't affecting me!!
maybe...idk...that's just me!!!! sweatdrop
