since i've seen that it wins the majority of you, i'll mention my thoughts on the death of Aeris. personally, i laughed and rejoiced. it was one of the coolest scenes in the game and i hated aeris. she was annoying.
i nearly cried at the ending to FFVIII though, when Laguna proposed to Rayne. that and when Squall and Rinoa finally kissed after the credits. besides, Eyes on Me is the best video game song ever!!!

Heero-perfectsolider-yuy I still say FFX had the saddest ending.. it really was really sad crying OMG the Final Fantasy X ending is most definitely (for me anyway) the most tear-jerking scene in the world. I was crying sooo much. crying And I still cry whenever I see it!! sweatdrop

I was crying sooo much. crying And I still cry whenever I see it!! sweatdrop FFX was sad in a way, but i have to admit, i about fell off of my bed laughing when Yuna fell down! perhaps that is why i didn't find it so sad...i was too busy finding it funny...

Aeris dying is probably the saddest moment in FF history.
My other pick is Cyan's family dying FF6. It's really heart wrenching to see. Well for me it is.

Well for me it is. yes, the scene where Cyan''s family dies was sad, though i still say the Aeris death was still pretty funny... sweatdrop another one, Final Fantasy V, when you go back to Butz''s home town and learn about the death of his mother...

The saddest ending in the Final Fantasy Series would have to be Final Fantasy X's ending....I bawled my eyes out sooooo much!!!!!!! crying crying crying crying crying
I also thought Aeris' death was sad too....but not so bad for me as in crying compared to Final Fantasy X's ending.....Gah...even the music makes me cry...lol.

Aeris dying is sad but for me I thought that
when Vivi's people all died was even more sad.
maybe because someone ruined Aeris dying for
me before I started the game

The saddest to me was Aeris' death scene. It was soooo sad and aggravating that one of my high-level characters had croaked, and I was so mad at Sephiroth! scream
The second saddest to me was the scene in FFX where Tidus was disappearing. I actually cried for once, even though I thought that that was the worst kind of ending possible. For the two main characters to get split up at the very end of the game was just irritating. But Aeris' death was still pretty sad. crying
The third saddest (and most irritating) to me was when Teta died in FFT. That made me soo mad at Algus. I wanted to kill him stressed
