Anekio laughed at that. "Probably not as bad as the one I got yesterday. What Hokage-Sama say?" Sitting up, she looked down. "Hm...You hear a voice down there?" She tilted her head downwards, squiting her eyes.

"I don't sense anything." Tori looked around then shrugged, but kept alert just in case. "I was coming back from an A rank and I took a short detour to the hot springs to heal instead of coming straight back. Hokage warned me that if I didn't do things by the books, I'd have someone following me like a little watch dog." She scowled. "Like I need that on top of everything else. I havn't seen them for myself, but Fuki says that the new Genin are brats."

Anekio laughed lightly at that. "Well, you know she's got a point. Next time just send a Chunin to do it, Tori." Looking over back at her commerafe, she sighed. "Damn it, I think I've seen two of my own students, and they don't get along much." She sighed, wishing that if anything, her team would be able complete each other.

Tori grinned at that. "It reminds me of when I was a Genin. Then again, I didn't get along very well with anyone. I'm too free spirited I guess. Everyone usually grows out of it...if we're lucky. In the end, you see some of the strangest relationships."

Mai-lin looked up sharply and blinked. "Hey! Weren't you in my class last year? You're...Pei, right?" She looked him over, her eyes catching everything about his look. She noticed some type of powder on his pants and vaguly remembered hearing what she, at the time, thought was fireworks of some sort before she had left the main part of the village. She took a sniff and winced. Yup, fireworks were all over his small. She rubbed her nose and looked back up at him. "It's not safe to be up there."

Himi opened her eyes and whimpered, she was hungry. SHe looked around for Mai-lin but only saw Ran. She stood up and walked over to the mist nin. She licked her face and barked to wake her up.

Ran groaned and rolled her head to the side a bit to avoid Himi's tongue. "Go away...." She muttered, and went back to sleep. She couldnt, though, and eventually opened her eyes to stare at Himi. "What do you want?" She muttered, not wanting to move.

Himi barked again and bit the girl's sleeve, tugging at it. She glanced at the table which had some small food packages on it and barked through the sleeve.

Ran groaned and tried tugging her sleeve away. "Hey! Let go!" She muttered, sitting up while setting her box next to her. It was then when she glanced over at the table and saw the food. "So That's what smells good...." She murmered, and managed to get her sleeve away from Himi before getting off the bed and walking over to the table. Looking back at the dog, she looked to the food again. "Is this what you want?" She asked, noticing a small bag of dog food.

Himi barked loudly and jumped off the bed. She ran over and started to run around the girl, excited. She then sat down in front of Ran and looked up with wide brown eyes, wagging her tail.

Mai-lin blinked and relized she hadn't fed Himi yet. "Oh, I'm sorry Pei! I have to go take care of my dog. I'll see you around." She once again didn't relize she had gotten his name wrong. She waved before dashing out and back towards the main village.

Ran rolled her eyes slightly and went and got a bowl from one of the cabinets and poured the dog food in. Setting it on the floor, she stood back for a moment before looking at the other food packages. She was happy to see that they'd been bought from some resteraunt, and there was egg rolls and a few other things, all of it split into two bags- one for both her, and Mai-lin.
"At least it isnt insta-crap." She muttered, grabbing her bag and sitting back on the bed. She pulled out an eggroll and began nibbling on it, partially because she wasnt very hungry, but knew she should eat something.

Himi barked and sat down in front of the bowl. She started eating. When she was done she walked back over to the bed and jumped up. She walked over to Ran and curled up in her lap, her tail wagging slightly.
Seconds later Mai-lin burst through the door. "I'm sorry Himi-chan. I'll feed yo..." She stoped when she saw the bowl on the floor with a few pieces of dog food left in it. She blushed as she guessed who had fed her dog. "Thanks for taking care of Himi-chan" She muttered. She sat on the floor next to the table and sighed.
Why is she getting to me so much? She's the only Mist nin whose ever been able to get these deep under my skin and annoy me this much and then she goes and feeds my dog! Who does she think she is.

"She woke me up, and probably wouldnt've let me go back to sleep if I didnt." Ran muttered, taking another small bite of the egg roll. Deciding she didnt want to eat anymore, she put it back in its bag and got up again, going into the kitchen and coughing slightly as she put her food in the fridge. She hoovered there for a bit, liking the cool of the fridge against her skin. "Its way too hot, here." She grumbled slightly. "No wonder some peoples brain cells are fried...." She said it low enough to not really mean too much, but it was an insult, none-the-less.

Anekio nodded. "Too bad for you, I guess." She was only kidding, because that's exactly what she liked to do. Sighing, she pulled out Itachi's old photo again. "Hey, Tori, why do you think my clan hates this man so much?"

"Other than the fact that he wiped out most of your clan? From what I heard, he was a good ninja. It was a shame that his mind became warped." Tori smiled then. "Why is it the good looking ones always turn out bad?"

Kei had watched as Mai-lin ran off. "Pei? What kind of name is that? What an airhead!" He then ran off in the direction he had seen her go. I'll find her and make sure she remembers my name.

"Yes, but they didn't understand him...Besides, he gave our clan the chance to start over, even though I don't think he was trying to do so." She laughed at the last comment, barely holding the photo now. "He was pretty hot, for my great great uncle."
