It's weird but Crystal is my favorite version. That's why I'm really excited about the HG / SS release because it's on my favorite region.

yellow version the only pokemans I ever got close to was first my pidgeot witch I trained instead of that stupid yellow rat in my yellow version, but then got erased when i let my tight a** babysitter play it in a desperate attempt to impress. but pidgeot did not die in vain because that was the night that she tripped and one of her tittys ploped out of that skimpy shirt. thanks pidgeot you will always be my favorate pokemon for giving me fun training and sacroficeing yourself for the good of boobs

All the ones I have played were great but I think HGSS will trump them all hands down.

I have to say, Crystal was my favourite. G/S/C introduced a lot of new stuff to Pokemon that's now become common place, even if I'm not particularly fond of the starters. Crystal was the first time I actually got to play as a girl! heart That's the best part. I cant wait for HG/SS!

People think about it the Johto Games were a complete hite just think about it for like 5 mintues, if it wasn't for Red and Blue version becoming a hite, dumb Diamond and Pearl wouldn't even exisit and no one would really know about pokemon since it came out in Japan at the exact year of 1995.

Holy logical fallacy, Batman! That's like saying America's not allowed to remind Europe of WW2 because if it wasn't for Europe, America wouldn't exist. See how silly that statement is? Saying "GSC isn't allowed to be the fandom favorite because if it wasn't for RBGY, it wouldn't exist" is just as silly. Like modern-day Naruto? Well, if it wasn't for Masashi Kishimoto's one-shot back in 1997, modern-day Naruto wouldn't exist, so you're not allowed to like it. See how silly that statement is, too? That's pretty much what you're saying regarding GSC owing something to RBGY.
People like GSC so much because it was RBGY but way better. And Pokémon didn't come out in Japan in 1995. Try 1996 with the release of the Red and Green versions. 1995 was when the application to trademark them was submitted. /full of useless knowledge

The first game doesn't have to be the best because it was the first and the others wouldn't exist without it. Golden Sun was the first of its series, but Golden Sun: The Lost Age improved on it. Doesn't mean Golden Sun was any less awesome. G/S/C improved on RBGY, that's why it's so well loved.

Out of all the versions i've played, i'd have to say SoulSilver is the most interesting. (i've played the japan version)
But not counting that one i'd have to say Platinum takes the lead for me.
Back b4 these versions came along it was Crystal of course.

Even though Red was the first I ever owned, Yellow is my favorite because it showed a more reality like quality by getting all starters in the different ways, instead of the choose one and go idea.
That, and it was fun screwing with Pikachu's little mind.
Look over here, and here, and here.... HAHA YOU ARE GOING IN CIRCLES!!!
