"Erm...Th-Thanks..." Marshall said, looking at the rather rank-smelling watter suspiciously. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers as the saying goes. He took a quick swig, nearly gagging.

"Thank you." he said weakly, handing it back to Bili.

"So, you wanna see the blue prints, Boss?" Marshall asked with a smirk.

THe octopus took the bottle back with a grunt, eyeing the table with the bllueprints on it, "Alrigh', penguin-halfie... bring me... oe'er there!" He pointed, panting and weazing excitedly. "I want... t'see 'em! I want... t'see wha'... me theater'll look.... like!"

"Right away, Boss." Marshall said, pushing Bili's wheelchair over to the table. Now that he thought about it, he hadn't seen the blue prints himself either. He grunted, Bili being heavier than previously expected. But soon they were there at the cheap table, the large, professional-looking paper spread out.

"...Wow."

After careful measuring he set the saw down on the wood, right over his penciled line. It wasn't all that different from sewing and cutting out the fabric, he told himself. But you couldn't really compare scissors to the saw. He held it awkwardly in his furred hand, then started to break into the wood. At first he sawed slowly, figuring he could control it better, but as he worked he became more confident and with it a little faster.

"Give it here... t'me...!" Billy urged, chittering his beak in excitement as he reached to try to grab the paper and pull it towards himself. He cast a glimpse over to Lucas, feeling very proud of his manigorial powers. Granted Gaius had done all the work, Billy was a *producer* now, and it was like nursing a baby. His baby.

The papers laid out on the table and in Billy's grasp are badly wrinkled, as if they had been crumpled up at some point, and an edge torn here or there, but it seems someone has tried to flatten them back out as much as possible, and the paper is durable enough.

Scrawled on the papers is a professional-looking (to the amature's eye) draft drawing of a layout, from bird's eye, as well as from sideways for the stage. The dimensions are detailed out, the stage planned to be thirty feet wide by twenty-five feet deep, and sit three feet off the ground, with another three dug out inside for the 'prop' storage.

The benches are planned to fan out in front of the stage, with an aisle down the middle and two sets on the side, and some sections marked out for specialized seeting, including a trough to help the aquatics.

A lot of thought has gone into the plans, and though not the best or soundest design, it seems solid enough for their purposes.

Newt had taken his time befor approaching the construction site. Gaius had sure seemed enthusiastic about it, but the frog man still wondered exactly what he could do that would be helpfull. He wasn't very strong and his froggish crouch and hop made it difficult to carry things... He was good at maintenence and wires and things but it didn't seem there was anythign that the ex-janitor could do. He hopped by curiously, though, spotting the various people about working in one way or another, and the unsettling form of the octopus who had so often bullied him out of the lake. He kept a far distance away from him at the center though, hopping towards where the seats would one day be installed.

"Newt!" came the call from behind the frog-man. Gaius was trotting back towards the work site from the village, an apple in one hand. He looked genuinely glad to see the round guy and gave him a pat on the shoulder as he came up. "I was wondering when you'd show up! I've been needing your help on some tricky stuff!"

"Y-y-y-you y-you w-were?" The frog jumped at the sound of his name, but relaxed ever so slightly at Gaius's friendly manner, and even managed a slightly excited smile. He had been wanted! Gaius needed him! Someone needed him! He hoped he could do whatever they needed him to do, though. With a croaking swallow he straightened up, trying to suck in his froggy gut in a proud chested stance, "Er... f-for... wh-what s-sort of... er...?"

Gaius chuckled, glad that all of his workers had seemed eager to help so far… He couldn’t really guide Newt along with the guy’s odd gate, but he lead him over to the blueprints, avoiding Billy and his raving, and pulled over one of the smaller sketches of the layout.

“Right now it’s mostly getting everything set up…” He tapped pointedly at the plans. “What I need you,” his eyes lifted to Newt, “to do is start working on the benches. I have a bunch of logs for the seating, already cut to length… What you can do is mark out where they go, according to my measurements here… And then take a shovel and dig out divots for them to sit in.” Straightening back up, Gaius grinned. It was an easy task, in his mind, which often forgot he wasn’t working with professionals. “Once you get that done, you can find someone to help roll the logs over into place.”

“After we get more of the stage done, I’m going to need you to work on a pulley system for the curtains… a theater has to have curtains, right?” he chuckled, wings twitching with the slight shaking of his shoulders. Looking down at Newt, he raised an eyebrow. “Think you can manage?”

Due to an unforeseen but welcome stay at Sayuri's duplex, Oz had been unaware of the new construction, at least consciously. He'd heard the sounds and seen extra people floating about, but it hadn't entered into his poor memory that construction had started.

Strolling along at a leisurely pace, he floated on the edge of the construction site, looking for Gaius or anyone he could recognise so he could get his 'work schedule' and get on with things.

Marshall had admired the blue-prints for a while, before noticing his familiar green freind talking to his Winged 'Boss'. Slowly, he left Billy to his ramblings and walked over to Newt and Gaius with a smile on his face.

"Hey, Newt!" Marshall called out with a small wave. "Ya need help with whatever Gaius is bullyin' ya into doin'?" he said with a laugh.

The pully system would be no problem- it would just involve a lot of cord and some smooth bars of some sort- maybe he had a few gadgets he had salvaged from the lab's garbage he could fix up to work well- old wheels could be converted into pulleys, and he had at least a few of them from old broken carts and things. But the benches... "I... w-what? Er... s-so.. Holes... w-with.... the p-planks s-set in? R-right?" He managed.

"I'm not bullying anyone," Gaius frowned at Marshall, huffing. "I'm being professional." Turning his head back to Newt, he shook his head. "Not planks, logs. For sitting on, like they have at camps and stuff. Just see if you can get a couple of the trenches dug out today, okay? I'm sure you can do a good job..." Grinning that optimistic smile again, Gaius gave Newt a pat on the shoulder and pointed him towards the tools. The guy really didn't seem like much of a muscle laborer, so he'd delegated what he thought one of the easier tasks to him. At least as far as the trench digging and layout. "And if you need a break, just see if there's anyone else that needs help!"

That taken care of, he looked back up at Marshall with a teasing smirk. "What, finished digging already? You've only been going at that for hours!"

Noticing Oz back along the edge of the workplace, Gaius waved a hand and called him over. "Hey! Oz!" Ah, finally! A heavy laborer! Just what he was needing! Sure, the other guys were great, but they were pretty scrawny, all things considered. With Oz here, maybe they could start on some of the major stage stuff!

"Whaat?! I'm only one Man!...Penguin. Penguin Man. Either way how am I supposed to dig, like, 25 feet, huh!?" Marshall called out to Gaius, resisting the urge to laugh. He turned back to Newt, "So, need help?"
