You may also want to define great in a particular sense in the first post now... as in "terrifying" or in a more sarcastic sense of "damn I wish I hadn't discovered this"

My only advice would be to meditate upon the concept of balance. Be at peace with what you have learned, and know that you are doing right by life in not pushing the subject.

How easy the mind can be shaped when a crack has been placed on it. The river of want pushes harder until the crack releases the wave and the mind game begins. The creation of ones' own need to be apart is far greater then that of rationality.
This started out as an experiment for me, I did my research and planned carefully, you see I had a vision that this would be posted and all this placed on the thread, I even saw myself typing what I am now. I did my part and planted the crack and now I see what I was meant to. What you actually did was combine two symbols from Fullmetal Alchemist, I checked. You then, entering a state of gnosis accidentally imbued it with power, but not exactly what you wrote, you placed on the symbol an eternal knowledge, but the flaw in it was the fact that knowledge destroys the mind when one isn't ready to accept it. I sealed your symbol with magick, that is why some people may have seen the red. This is also one reason I made the thread on Chaos Magick. I was hoping to learn more on it, for I have been a tad busy for the past month. You created a symbol, not of what you were thinking, but of a corrupt knowledge. All you saw was true, but the mind to comprehend it all will slowly try and destroy itself. That is why I sealed it, so as to stop others from falling under the 'curse' and to stop the spread of those already under it. I am not able to destroy the power you placed on it, I can just hide it from others. It is your symbol and you have to do with it as you like, it is your problem to bare. I am off to bed now, I'm happy to know my vision has come true though.

I actually have done some research on chaos magick. It delas entirely eith human knowledge and will. If all of this is really just chaos magick, then yes knowledge and preknowledge would play a major role in its capabilities.

You said that by destroying the actual physical manifestation, the enchantment was gone. Like you said you wanted to do, you enchanted a sigil. The single thought that you gave the enchantment was "everything" and from there it has just done its work. Because you got others to also believe it, it began to work for them as well. People see red after it is sealed, so that they can not get the effects out of your most powerful enchantment.
(you even said at the start that the symbol was really an enchantment)
This is all assuming that it has left the realm of alchemy and gone into chaos.
I should, at some point, pick up chaos magick. I know the science and theory behind Chaos... I've even delivered a speech on the subject... I think I could do a lot with the field...

If the thread's still there, you can see Atomisk in action with his 'holier than thou' attitude. He left the Guild because we were 'helpless' and 'ignorant'..or something along those lines. I didn't get an epiphany, but I will most certainly remember that symbol. I could probably draw it out now, were it not for the fact that it would stir up such a flurry of anger, considering the dangers of the enchantment(since there are probably no dangers with the symbol on its own). Though, I tend to have a ridiculously good memory when it comes to stuff like that. It'll get locked away in my data banks and never see the light of day again. I'm a hoarder of knowlege of all sorts, after all. sweatdrop Though..I figure it's best that I don't go spreading that symbol around outside the Guild? Or, would it matter as I didn't exactly place an enchantment upon it? However..it would probably be better if I didn't take that chance? EDIT: I probably wouldn't anyway. I wouldn't want to start any trouble. >.<

I don't fully understand this symbol. You are ggoing to say I am one of they lucky ones, but I am not. This symbol is from my childhood, and I would very much like to remember it fully. Then it was only a whimsical drawing, but now it is so much more.
You see, I have no magic, or powers, or gifts in this life, for I do not remember my past. But this symbol...it seems to spark something. I have saved a copy onto my computer so I might remember.

N one has any control in the matter on who does and does not get rid of it, but he can remove it from himself.
Just like others posted before me, I have the image engraved in my mind... and my mind for some reason or another, is cycling through all the symbols I've seen for potential matches. Kind of annoying to have a mental search engine...

Let's back up, a bit, shall we?
What the hell makes all of these people so special? All of these people saying "OMG, ITS EVIL, GET RID OF IT!" I would like an explanation. For those of you who do remember Atomisk Prime, I don't see much difference between him and some of you. Yeah, it's true I don't believe in some of this s**t, but that dosen't make me an idiot. None of you are "protectors of the good". None of you have to withhold information from the rest of us because we're "inferior and will do something stupid."
So I'm going to ask nicely. What the ******** just happened?
