Azume-chan Ditto, I use to never cuss. I do but typing it not really saying. My dad cuss a lot when he's man and so does my mom but she doesn't cuss anymore. I sister wants to I can tell. I think cussing is stupid and unoriginal way to try to insult someone and tying to express your feelings. I remember when I was 12 I said "damn" The weird part is that I've never heard that word before, but I said it. I knew that it was something bad. God have you a mouth to talk and defend yourself but not to use dirty words. My father taught me a valuable lesson. use whatever words are right for the situation. and make your meaning plain. also never use three big words when one little one will do. cussing is not stupid. to cuss constructively in a sentance takes considerable knowledge and skill. and insult is only one of many ways to use cuss words. I myself when I get mad cuss...Truthefully Bible says 2 Timothy 2:16 we are not soupposed to talk like the world even

Yeah, I do every once in a while, but I always feel bad when I do. I say "holy blank" with weird words inserted in there, but recently, I've been trying to say, "Holy Matrimony!", since that's the only one that makes since. But yeah, I also say OMG sometimes, and then I make up the excuse, saying that I'm just including God in everything I do by saying that. I know, that's bad... sweatdrop

I personally do not think Christians should cuss. Here are a few versus that have made me think this way. I hope they help.
James 3:9-12
9With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. 10Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. 11Can both fresh water and salt[a] water flow from the same spring? 12My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.
Ephesians 4:29-32 (NIV)

You should not curse for spite or if it offends others. If you are amongst friends and you happen to curse... that is cool, but keep it mild.

What Cat Pal said. I think the words that everyone is getting so riled up over are not what the bible discusses, but how they are used. Hell I hear better insults from people who use no profanity. I'm shocked, a guy jumps out and scares me, instead of going What the crap! I go What the ********!, and I see no difference between the two, except certain people will fee uncomfortable about the last one.

I cuss a lot. I do not live with my folks, and when I did they never cared if I cussed. I just don't see the harm in a few words that are not even being used as an insult (I say things like "******** AWESOME, BITCHES", I do not say things like "YOU ******** SLUT". That's just unnessesarily mean.)

Well I believe Cursing is not appropriate in your christian walk. You suppose to treat you neighbor right and if you curse to them its not really cheating them right and i agree with the girl who said " you wouldn't if jesus was next to you, so you shouldn't do it."
The cursing in christian people gets worse, I'm shocked at how many ppl do. The in my opinion are being taught wrong. We all mess up sometimes i can understand a couple slip but not a usual curser.

It's a well known fact that you can curse without the use of profanity.
"Hello neighbor, I hope some one shoves you face first into a wild boars rear end."
"Hello friend, I hope an eagle claws your balls out and feeds them to her chicks."
Profanity is nothing more than a set of words, it's how you use them that make them bad.
